  1. I have done the same thing, but last year our Wal-mart had that brand and style put away with all the other doorbusters. Oh well, I still got what I needed, and I am going back for more.
  2. I think you are right, I have been stashing the extra gas money to use on BF. Every little bit helps.
  3. I am going to register now just in case I need it. Thanks for the tip.
  4. When my oldest 5 were young we made sure they had the same number of gifts and that we were within $10-20 in price. Now they know the difference so we keep the price the same.
  5. We go to 2 Nursing homes. I make lots and lots of cookies (regular and sugar free) We sing, for them and with them and pass out refreshments. Everyone has a great time.
  6. I will take my shopping list and my sale ads and anything that I have on my shopping list I will check out at Walmart. Last year I was able to get about half my shopping done in one store. I cut 2 stores off the list.
  7. Any word yet on the e-mail from KB Toys? I would like to hear about a good sale there!!
  8. I haven't heard this, but I think I will check it out. I need to do a few things in town today anyway. Thanks for the tip.
  9. What gift are you the most excited about giving and who are you giving it to?? So far it is a tie between a leather jacket for my son or the kitchen we want to get the 2 year old.
  10. I went to TRU tonight they had a nice pack of extra pens for 5.99.
  11. Definitely call or go by there. Ask if the are offering any other discounts if they say no to BF.

    Target

Most of the items I want at Target can be priced matched at Wal-mart.
  13. TRU Big Toy book, had them(page 21) but I have not seen them on BF. They are 24.99 so you could print out those $5.00 coupons from this web site and save some money.
  14. KB Toys, Circuit City, Kohls, Lowes or Home Depot, and okay I admit it I want them ALL!!
  15. Yes, but they sold out fast!! Check them out weekly you might get a good deal ahead of BF.
  16. I am always thinkingof someone I should add to the list. If I see a good bargin I try to get it but I won't overspend my budget.
  17. When I was 16 I really wanted a hope chest. I searched the house over thinking they could never hide such a big gift. I even snuck downstairs early Christmas morning (against the rules) to see if there was one. It wasn't there. My dad went down later to make coffee and when the family went in to open presents there was the hope chest. I still do not know how they kept it hidden?? I still have it!!
  18. Depending on how she prints her pictures she might appreciate photo paper or gift card to her favorite place to get them printed. I would want those pens too.
  19. I will be here, I love to find deals and this place is a great help, plus I enjoy hearing about everyone elses bargins.
  20. I think it is a really neat idea, but I doubt I will be done in time to do anything like that. We usually take all day to open presents, we have a large family and I do not want to miss seeing the kids excitement so they open them 1 at a time.
  21. We usually do Christmas Eve with the in-laws and Christmas Day with my parents. Usually they end up at each others house too just to watch the kids faces. (if my folks are in the states) Can your mom spend the weekend with you and just go every where you do?
  22. I think it's great that you go shopping!! Keep it up!! By the way who is the better bargin finder??
  23. I am one of the fortunate few. The gifts I get I like. I have an MIL and a Step MIL who are thoughtful and good shoppers. Every year they ask for a list so I give them seperate ones no two items the same. Maybe that is why I like what I get. Mom and Dad have always been good gift givers too!!
  24. We have one in the mall (Chesapeake, VA) I can not find them online but who knows they may be there. My teens like to go there.
  25. I often wish my husband would go Christmas shopping with me, but he really does not enjoy shopping at all. When the folks were in Bolivia he would do their shopping for me, but not with me. ( He had a list of what I wanted, size, color, etc, what store it was in and the cost.) I always made a big list so I would not know exactly what I was getting from my parents. He does go out and get a Christmas Eve gift for the kids, so he is not a Scrooge, he just doesn't enjoy shopping. My Sister-in-law and her husband shop for all their gift giving together. My dad loves to shop too. How is it at your house?
