shopping mom

I left home about 1:30 AM and got home about 6:30 PM. I was determined to find some things on my list and had to go to a few different Targets to do it.

I went there today used a coupon and they gave me another. If my mother-in-law wants a robe I am going there to get it.

PM at Wal-mart is usually my favorite part but not this year, it seemed that most of the items I wanted were gone (I was there at 2 AM) No one knew where the DVD-Video recorders were. We finally found it and I got all the Wal-mart items I wanted. I think they could still do better.

I have six and I never get to do as much as I want to do. I guess if you count clothes, necessities, stockings and gifts, I spent about 200 a kid. My kids always appreciate new clothing and even though some of them have moved out, I know they still appreciate the other things as well.

Our CC was great. I wanted car stereo and speakers for two of my teens. The employees were helpful and the sale items available. Ialso wanted some DVD series and got those too.

Our KB toys was extremely organized this year. We were in and out with everything on the list in 20 minutes. Office Max was also well stocked. My dad went to Office Depot and said it was horrible.

I went by ours tonight and they said they are not opening till 5 A.M. I was hoping for midnight so I could get done there and head to Wal-Mart. I made a list of the Fisher-Price stuff I like and the prices so I can give it to one of my shopping buddies. I plan to get some for Christmas and some for my 2 year old's birthday in March. I was not overly impressed with the amount on hand that I saw I think I will try online first. What do you think??

My daughter got the My First Leap pad last Christmas before she turned 2. She has played with it everyday. i can see how she has developed listening skills, and she now recognizes alot of letters and sounds. I bought 4 new books from TRU (BOGO) for this Christmas. I am thinking about getting the fridge phonics for her this year.

I am a homeschooling mom so tomorrow is our last day until next Monday.

I just always start a Walmart. Of course I have good shopping buddies, so I will have someone in line at CC, OM and probably KB.

Does anyone know if perfume sets go on sale. My 17 year old has asked for one and everywhere I price it it is the same price. Should I just go ahead and get it??

I was in TRU on Saturday. I finally decided to get my two year old the little tikes kitchen, and there were no tickets. I asked an employee about it and she checked the computer. They were suppose to have three on the floor. Well, another employee, said he would find it for me if I wanted to wait. I said sure and 10 minutes later he has my kitchen. I thanked him and told him I would see the manager and tell them how helpful he was. I did and she was glad to hear it. Two of my kids work for Chik-Fil-A and when someone say something nice about them it is always rewarded somehow by the owner. I hope TRU does the same . Have you had a similiar experience?

I went to Lowes web site and was really excited about the ad my oldest son wanted a dewalt drill combo kit and it was going to be in price range. I asked customer service a question and then went back to study the item numberand check out some things and the ad disappeared and was totally different!! WEIRD!! Am I dreaming or what?//:grandpa:

Batteries, toys like aqua doodles, lite-brites, elmos, tigger, games, fisher price doctor set, etc.. camara memory cards, cameras are worth checking, protor-silex products, Tide and many other products. I will be looking for some of these and other items from my shopping list.

I am hoping that it will be everything fisher price too. I might have to return some previoous bought stuff but it may be worth it.

Do you think they are cuter than the ones Walmart is suppose to have? Worth the extra money for a 2 year old?

I always start at Wal-Mart. The PM saves alot of time if you can locate the exact items in the store. My list is always in order of the next store but sometimes I can cross off a couple because of the price matching.

I asked the manager at our TRU about price matching and she said that the company had been bought and they were told to no longer price match.

Last year at Wal-mart my 16 year old daughter was trying to get some of the small appliances. It was about five minutes till six when people started grabbing stuff so she did too. An employee took it out of her cart and told her she could not have it yet while others continued to grab. She waited until the worker turned around grabbed what we wanted and took off. She is a good BF shopper!!

I do that too. It saves alot of time and extra running if you can price match. If I see a line start to form I put my daughter in it or my mom, shopping buddies are a big help. I would like the zoo, but I am hoping for the house, to show up on sale too.

I bake alot of cookies as gifts and we have a Christmas party at two nursing homes. I make and freeze them. I put wax paper between layers. Then I take them out of the freezer a day before the party. It works well for me and no last minute rushing. ( I am almost done baking)
