I recieved the Smart Pot for Christmas. I plan on trying it out tomorrow with a beef roast. What would be a good seasoning?

I got a few things a Wal-mart at 50% off and asked the sales associate when it would go down to 75%. She said she thought this weekend so I'll check. They still had loads of stuff left.

My sons birthday is today too. He is 15. We always wait an extra few days to do something special for him so it doe not get lost in the holiday, but we did take him out for lunch today. Happy birthday to you !!

We did that one year with our two youngest sons. We had bought them each a guitar and knew there was no way to disquise the gift. The first clue was in a present under the tree. Each clue was in found in the next area wrapped as another gift. I can't remember the clues but thanks for reminding me of a happy memory!!

Jewelry, favorite perfume, robe and slippers, BBW goodies and GC, a good book, a basket with her favorite teas, coffees and goodies in it, magazine subscription, the clock with the relaxing sounds, 400 count or more sheets, or gloves. Hope you have fun shopping for your mom.

My boys had them when they were younger. They wanted to be daddy, so I bought them each a boy CPK for Christmas one year.

My daughter got a gift card to there from a friend. I'll tell her about the sale. Thanks for the post.

I have always had great experiences with Kohl's I think you got a person lacking in customer service. I would go over their heads until you got good results.

I thought I was done wrapping and then I remembered where I hid some more presents!! I will have to go get them tomorrow and do that. I still need to bake cookies, and clean house my DH's mom and stepdad arrive on Friday so I want to be finished by then. UGH I still need to wrap the adults stockings too.

Since my kids know DH hates shopping and I pick out out their Christmas presents, he began buying them their Christmas Eve presents. They know this gift is one dad took the time to think of, find, and wrap just for them. The gifts have varied throught the years but they have always been special to the kids. One tradition iIlove came from my DH's family. I do not cook on Christmas. We buy cheese, crackers, lunchmeats, rolls, chips etc. If you get hungry it's available. When the kids were little it would have torture to make them leave their new toys to sit down and eat.

I thought I had my baking done but I will be at it again tommorow. All the rest were given away either to friends or to the 2 nursing homes we visit monthly. My kids have been asking if I have the cookies ready for Christmas so I guess tomorrow I bake. Kayakmom, did you get the Kitchen aid mixer and do you like it?

I think we are about 90% done at this point . Three items are just to big and heavy to wrap so I will skip those. If I buy anything else it is going to take two days to open it!

I am just excited that the kids are getting most of the things the asked for. I have 6 so I am not going to list all I bought. I am most excited about DS #2 's leather jacket, originally $300 but with sales and discount coupons I got it for $100 and since he wears a 2XLT, I was even more excited to find it in his size. I do not care how old they get you always enjoy watching their faces!!

For our daughter's first Christmas stocking we did a Pooh ball, mittens, hat, small carebear, bath toys, and other things that I can not remember now. I do remember the ball was her favorite thing. This year I think I will need one of those giant stockings I kept finding cute things a great prices!!

Well, I called all three TRUs again today and no one has them. I think i will take everyones advice and just wait. The sets I want are made for this kitchen so it responds to what is "being cooked". My toddler loves for things to talk or make noises, so that is why we picked this kitchen. Thanks for the advice!!

I knew I should have bought the accessorie packs when I bought the kitchen but for some unknown reason I didn't and now I am kicking myself. I did buy one but I really want 2 more. I have been to two TRU and nothing. Online they cost more and I have to pay shipping, plus I can't use the coupon. What would you do for your two year old??? 1.Forget it and try to find them after Christmas 2.Check the final TRU in the area and hope you get lucky (about a 40 min. drive.) 3. Pay the online price so she can have them for Christmas.

I think Garden Ridge is done. They just had a huge truck load sale (got the a 4 1/2 foot prelit tree for under $3, my boys who moved out needed one) Anyway they were staying open until 12 and this week they are closing at 10 They are running low on stock too.

My husband is a lay pastor (small church -no pay) so we are there whenever the doors are opened. My parents are missionaries in Bolivia SA, but they are on furlough right now so we are going to do Christmas on Monday. We do not want to break it up or feel rushed. I hope it works out.

I bought our 2 year old to much for Christmas on purpose so I am saving things for her birthaday in March. My DH says she is still getting to much but I think she will have a blast. I know I will.

On Friday night mom and I went to Kohl's for their big sale. I took all of her Kohls receipts and the one I had in my purse and went to customer service. The girl working back there was nice went through all the reciepts and price adjusted. Mom got back over $100 dollars and I got back $40. I took the rest of my receipts in today and did not get the same results. this worker told me she would only do purchases made in the last 14 days. (Which is store policy) so I only got another $10 back. Oh well, something is better than nothing. Thanks for posting about Kohl's sale, I did get DD those earrings for graduation, plus another pair of blue sapphires for Christmas.
