How about one of the plug n play games? They have some pretty decent games that you just plug into your tv and play at Walmart. My nephew loves them cause he can take it to his room and play easily (not like having to unplug hi gamecube, and carry the whole thing, games, controllers, up to his room.) And he can take to granparents easily too.

We do this also. The tree has ornaments from dh and I when we were kids, then each child gets a new ornament each year. When they were little I would buy the my 1st Christmas, my 2nd Christmas, etc. Then as they get older, I let them each pick one out. Then grandma buys them each one. It's a good tradition to start and doesn't cost a lot. :)

Not sure exactly how long, but my mom and I have been going for a long time. I remember buying for my now ds17 when he was little. Just curious, but does anyone know how many years the stores have been doing the early bird sales thing?

It sucks I know, but they do it all the time. It states in the warranty that they can send you a refurbished one if they choose to. What p'd me off was, I bought ds17 and dh each a brand new ipod for xmas several years ago (they were the 20g 4th gen. was when they first came out) Well, they come with a 1 year warranty, and wouldn't you know it, they both quit working after 1 year and 1 month!! Called apple and was told I could send in for repair for $249. We ended up buying new ones. Now we have 3 of the video ipods in the house. Of course, ds17 wants the new video ipod with touch screen for xmas now!! (Funny thing is, he was away at camp all week, and when we picked him up friday, what was the first thing he asked when he got into the car? What did apple announce? LOL) Think dh wants it too :)

I am looking for a Disney Mickey Mouse costume for my ds5. Size 4-6. I wan the one with the gloves and the shoe covers. Would like to buy new but can't find any stores online or offline, with it. Anyone know of any? TIA

We open them all on Christmas morning. Then off to my parents.

After we get back from my parents house, dh and I relax while kids play with their new goodies:) we help the little one with anyhting he needs help with. And... I plan the next morning of after xmas sales shopping!!!

I like Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer:) But I absolutely HATE I want a Hippopotamus For Christmas (Don't know for sure if that is the name but that's what they say through it all!!) It is absolutely annoying! JMO

The biggest problem for me is the age difference. I try to spend the same $$ on each of my 2 kids, but everything ds17 wants cost a lot, Like last year he wanted a ps3 =$600. I tried to spend the same on ds5, but if I would have, our house would be piled to the ceiling with toys!:) ds5 toys costs a lot less!! So ds 17 ends up with 2 oor 3 gifts and ds5 gets 20+ and I still didn't spend as much on ds5!! ugg!

dh and our 2 kids go with my parents and my sister and her 3 kids to the nursing home to see our grandmother. She loves to see all the kids together, but for a short time as the younger ones can get rather roudy. We used to all go to her house and take KFC to eat but now she can't have it so after, the kids insist we take KFC home to eat. They eat, set out cookies and milk (ds17 plays along with ds5) and off to bed so dh and I can finish wrapping gifts and putting together anything that needs it while watching A Christmas Story. Yes, I am a last minute wrapper....I confess!!!

usually from about 3 am until 9pm. But we have to drive about an hour to another town after Walmart. Our town only has a Walmart, no other good stores. Then we go another town over if we don't find everything we are after. It makes for a looooong day, but we LOVE it! :)

We like Chicken Shoot but ds4 thinks it is too noisy (he has tubes in ears and sensitive to sound) So we only play it when he is in another room. Very simple to play.

Yeah, we bought the kids one and it is a hit! Bought the Chicken Shoot game and now I'm looking forward to the "wii zapper"!! What date is it supposed to be released?
