  1. Just keep sending those complaints to coorporate! It saddens me since BB is one of my favorite stores... I've noticed customer service has gotten awfully lousy and now I keep hearing about this... What a shame. I don't like the other tech stores.
  2. I was just going to post more about the screens but it looks like the pictures explain it all.

Best4less- the backlight isn't really for dark gaming conditions (interestingly enough)... I use the light when playing in direct sunlight for instance.

  3. I am looking to buy one of these, and I am a little confused. Here is the one I like, the Ceiva 3. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BNGJZG/qid=1133558896/sr=8-13/ref=pd_bbs_13/103-3998906-5568615?n=507846&s=electronics&v=glance

What I can't figure out is if you need a subscription to recieve photos from other places. What I want this for is my parents, so that my sister and I can both send photos from far away.

Thanks! And if anyone has other model suggestion, please feel free!

Had to edit my post. Yes, this frame requires a 7 dollar monthly subscription fee. Read the review here:

  4. My daughter just doesn't like the DS because I don't think she likes the little pen thingy that comes with it and she feels it will be too difficult to use. I don't know. Just following the "wish list" and she wants the SP! lol :)

Alright, I checked a few other sites and I think both the graphite and pearl blue one are the "newer" ones. I think I am just going to go with the graphite. Thanks for the help everyone! :)

I think the one BB has listed is still the old "graphite" since the battery consumption is different.

  5. That's what I meant with the backlight scenario... The "Pearl Blue" one has an improved backlight that draws more power... But honestly the backlight isn't even needed. Nintendo claims the screen is "improved and brighter" and it is, even without the backlight!
  6. Actually, If it were me, I would pay the extra $20 and get the Nintendo DS.

As far as that goes, you can't compare the 2. Yes. the DS has superior graphics, WiFi, etc, BUT the GBA has such a ridiculously massive game library... If you were a fan of SNES you will love the GBA!

  7. I felt the need to share this:

I ordered a pair of sneakers from adidas.com on Wednesday around 10:30 a.m. (free shipping for orders over $40 :D). I received my packaged TODAY at around 9 a.m. I gotta say that is the fastest shipment I have ever recieved... This was shipped from Kentucky, I'm in Illinois. Less than 24 hours... I love when that happens :).

  8. There is a user manual on the hard drive if you need it, or you can download it.

The extended warranty was $68 and adds an additional 2 years to the included 1 year. It actually is a good warranty from what I understand.

I heard some really fantastic things about HP's warranty. Remember when HP sold HP branded iPods? Many people clamored to get those instead of the originals just to take advantage of HP's warranty. And $68 for 2 years? That's good. I usually don't recommened extended warranities for desktops, but for laptops it's basically a must.

  9. where can i get a lappy for under $400. got thrown down at walmart despite being 1st in line. they need a policy that all stores use vouchers.

    need help. thanks in advance

Keep trying back here... Dell has had many $400 (after rebate deals) lately.

  10. Since you are Polish, do you do the unlevined bread thing? My hubbys Grandfather was polish, and they have a tradition where you touch 2 pieces together, amke a wish for the other person, then break the bread. Keep doing that with everyone. I had never heard of that until Christmas dinner with his mom.

YES! Yes, we do that every year. We use "Christmas wafers."

  11. Same as Thanksgiving:

    Ham

    Turkey

    Turkey Gravy

    Mashed Potatoes

    Stuffing

    Corn

    Green Bean Casserole

    Cheese, deer meat and Crackers

    Veggies and dip

    Spinach dip with hawaiian bread

    Rolls

    Pumpkin Pie

    Apple Pie

    Sugar Cream Pie

    Cherry Delight

    Strawberry Delight

    Christmas candy and cookies

I was just wondering what Cherry and Strawberry delight is. Sounds yummy. Mmmm... strawberry craving... Mmmm...

  12. my mom's family is polish so we do our traditional polish meal for christmas eve:

    fish (cod, flounder, scallops, shrimp)

    boiled potatoes

    barley with peas & something

    asst veggies

    babka

then your standard american thanksgiving/christmas fare the next day with my dad's family

Awesome. :) Yes, I totally forgot about the fish on Christmas Eve, lots of fish, baked catfish and herring in vinegar. Of course you gotta have the babka. :woot2:

  13. I totally agree!! I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 (6.5 years old approx). We bought it refurb'd from Dell's site about five years ago. Their customer service has rocked the few times we had to call them (and it was minor stuff, nothing really wrong w/ the laptop itself but questions we had about it).

Inadvertantly a few times my twin boys (then 1.5 years old) got too it as well. They ripped the CD drive out of it as well as the DVD drive. DH spent about 10 minutes fixing it and all was well again. ;)

So I highly recommend Dell laptops, they are the only laptops we will buy/use. :D

Totally. Dell laptops are consistantly rated/ranked as the best... beating out such high-end options as Alienware and Voodoo... completely leaving Gateway, HP in the dust... har. :)
