  2. I saw the perfect brownie pan at Marshals the other day and I routinely see the Ped Eggs, Bump its and those hair clip things at Ross.

    Angel Tree

One of my Angel tree girls (8) asked for any stuffed animal. I was going to make her a bear at Build a Bear, but I think the Holly Moose doll at Build a Bear is cute too. Holly will be $5 on BF and so will her outfit. I'm not sure which one to give the little girl. What do you all think?
  4. Just received an email saying that you can get Holly & Hal Moose for only $5 each and either Holly's jacket and hat for $5 or Hal's jacket and goggles for $5 November 26-November28. Regularly priced $12 Online and in store. They are also doing a CybearMonday sale and they said to check your inbox on Sunday for info Holly Orig $12 BF Sale $5 http://www.buildabear.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m46234_13867L.jpg Hal Orig $12 BF Sale $5 http://www.buildabear.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m46236_13868L.jpg Holly's outfit Orig $12.50 BF Sale $5 http://www.buildabear.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m46662_15241L.jpg Hal's outfit Orig $12.50 BF Sale $5 http://www.buildabear.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m46663_15242L.jpg
  5. I don't understand why they are doing this at all. Especially since my email from corporate said that they would be adjusting prices. Ugh!

    Gymboree

I got a 20%off coupon in the mail yesterday. I also received a $10 off any purchase at Origins and I have two $5 off a purchase at Hallmark coupons from my magazines too. Woohoo!
  7. My mom made my brother wear safety glasses when he played with his. It was pretty easy for her to get him to do that because my brother would watch my dad at the shooting range wearing his safety glasses.
  8. Sounds like you are having fun! My dad goes to the Vintage Grand Prix race at Mid-Ohio every year and sets up his tent with a kitchen. He sits outside all day in 90 degree heat and humidity watching the races. He barely gets the chance to shower (ick!) but he has so much fun! He has made quite a few friends up there and they meet back each year to grill filet and drink good scotch. He LOVES it! Even though they are different events, as I was reading your post I realized how similar they actually are. Have fun. Enjoy yourself and like I always tell my Dad, stay out of trouble!
  9. I think its great that you asked.:) Are all of you getting the game or just your husband? Just think how frustrating it would be if you have been standing there for a few hours for the game and then two people got in line and because of those two extra people you were not able to get a game. I think BF and the entire holiday season is a great time to practice the The Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" Have fun playing Dance Central!
  10. 30 and Sunny! Woohoo!
  11. I thought it would be interesting if they got the ipads and left. I think next year, someone will go two weeks early, set up, get their "First In Line" prize and leave. I wonder if those people realize that they have to pay taxes on their prize?
  12. I have a majority of my shopping done. I really don't have to go out on BF. I am going to see if Build a Bear has any sales on their outfits and see if the Apple Store has discounts on any of the accessories DH wants for his MacBookPro or ipad, but other than that I am good. I need to order my Dad's pressure cooker off of Amazon, but that isn't on sale anywhere.
  13. Is this the turntable you are speaking of? http://www.amazon.com/Jensen-3-Speed-Stereo-Turntable-Radio/dp/B000UVKE2I/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1290461850&sr=8-4 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41hoPfK3XGL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
  14. I am making two dolls at BaB for two of my Angel tree girls. Do they have any type of sale? I have two $5 off coupons and I would like to get a cute outfit to dress the bears in. Thanks!
  15. WHich selected disney princess items are 50% off with the coupon? I see the picture of the Rapunzel braiding thingy. Does it say on the coupon which ones are? Thanks!
  16. I agree. Hummus is so yummy and Whole Foods has a lot of good ones. I also like it with chopped cucumber and tomatoes. A little bit of feta cheese is nice too!
  17. Didn't sign up. Its for expectant/new mom's. Great find for expectant moms!
  18. Some of the styles are on Backorder. It says estimated arrival Nov 26th Has anyone had any issues with Disney and backorders before? *They can't be purchased right now so I will have to check back. Hopefully the sale will still be on.
  19. Is your daughter in school or living in her own apartment? If so, I think she would like a grocery store gift card too. I love lists like hers because you can get all of it at a good price and add some fun extras too.

    Angel Tree

I try to pick the children and the adults that want the smaller, simpler presents. This way we can get more gifts for more people. I also rarely pick up the wants for gift cards. It isn't because I don't like the request, its just that I know that some people want to get a gift, but do not have the time to shop like we do and it is probably easier for them to get a gift card. Especially since you can buy them at the grocery stores now.
  21. I think you can have a great Christmas for your children. My parents weren't able to spend much on us for Christmas when we were younger, but we always had wonderful Christmases. I don't have any memories of being disappointed on Christmas morning. Mom (Dad was Navy and worked a lot, he was involved, but Mom was with us the most) always made sure that we had fun watching Christmas movies and drinking hot cocoa. We would bake cookies and make donuts for Christmas morning. We would come home after school in the beginning of December and we would hear Christmas music and see the decorations that Mom put up and then we would go out as a family and pick out a tree and decorate it together with more Christmas music and cocoa. Try to do as much Christmas stuff as you can and that YOU want to do. Your little ones will have fun and you will feel great seeing the smiles on their faces. Even if it is just you and the kids because no one else wants to participate, don't let anyone else take away your Christmas and that time with your babes. As for the other people you buy gifts for. Write out a nice Christmas card to each person or family. If you start now you can do a couple a day and get them out in time for Christmas. If you can afford to, consider printing out a photo of you and your family and including it with the card. I would LOVE to get a photo of my Niece and Nephews and I think a nicely written card and a photo is a beautiful gift to give and to receive. Have a beautiful Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
  22. These snowman cupcakes are too cute! 23. I've made a peppermint candy wreath before. They are easy to do while sitting on the sofa and watching a Christmas movie. Here are some instructions. This blog looks like they have some neat stuff. The blog writer made candy wreaths out of a few different types of candy. Very cute! http://craveindulgesatisfy.blogspot.com/2009/12/countdown-to-christmas-day-16-candy.html Pictures are from the blog craveindulgesatisfy Peppermint candy wreath http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wGqV4pgUA7E/SymVK6wKm_I/AAAAAAAAAr8/4LRXu_69c3s/s400/P1010036.JPG Assorted candy wreath. 24. I don't think there should be any holding places in line. It is one thing if you are in line and have to go to the bathroom, buy some coffee or you had an incident at home that you need to take care of. However, for one or two people to show up and save spots for people who aren't coming until the doors open is just frustrating. All of the people that line up behind these people are going to be angry when they find out that there will be 10 more people in front of them. I am also not a fan of people dropping off chairs or setting up tents and then leaving and never actually waiting in line or only waiting in line for an hour or two.
  25. Great gift! Wearing the correct size bra and good undies can make you look like you had a total body makeover!
