They're helpful when the weather is nasty and you want to track a storm. I like the Weather Channel app, but there are a few different ones to choose from.

You actually don't need virus protection with an iPad. Any programs that you do put on your iPad will be downloaded from the iTunes App Store. Sometimes Apps will go on sale and you can also sometimes find the iTunes cards on sale.

Have you contacted the postal inspector for your area? 6-7 packages being lost is a lot.
