  1. Agreed. Many of the items you can go look up online to get the idea, but some of them don't work and so you don't really know until it's actually up.
  2. Don't get ALL the goodies on BF. You'll need something to buy with the hundreds of dollars of KC you'll get back...
  3. I agree. In many ways, it's like a Tablet. You can't really go upgrade the RAM on a tablet...
  4. You'll probably want to wait to see what else comes out and compare them. You sound like you have an idea of what you need/want; now it's a matter of finding the best deal on the best match to your specs.
  5. $50, maybe? LOL. I read that and was about to go get in line at Costco starting today...
  6. Now that Kohl's is out, you can see their deals.... 4.5qt - $199.99 after $30 MIR, so a little extra work and payment up front and $10 more, but you're getting $60 Kohls Cash, plus $10 back in Yes2You rewards; netting you at about $140. 5-qt Artisan sells for $330 up front; $50 MIR, $75 KC, and ~ $16 Y2U Rewards; Net = $189. 6-qt Pro sells $410 up front; $50 MIR, $120 KC, $20 Y2U; Net = $220
  7. He hasn't tasked us with typing that one up. Not sure if that's a "yet", or just not at all. The listing was done last year, so maybe just not yet.
  8. Or just shop 90% online and go in store a few hours after opening (hit the other doorbuster stores first). The lines usually diminish by then.
  9. I'll have to look into a Smartthings... I have a Harmony Hub that can do some of these sort of things that's been talked about here, so maybe I don't need one of these? I do need to get started with some smart bulbs and outlets and switches.
  10. Ah, I missed it!
  11. I don't know if you can upgrade the RAM on that one. The spec said the maximum was 4GB; granted, that could be entirely incorrect and I don't know any better than what the specs tell me on that machine.
  12. Pros: Size & Weight Compact Versatile (Touchscreen Laptop & Tablet in One) Price Cons: 4GB RAM is probably the absolute minimum (ideally, 8GB) you'll want for Win10; it might seem a little sluggish at time - perfectly acceptable for taking notes. Doesn't look like this is expandable past 4 GB Screen Size - just make sure you know what you're getting in an 11" screen. It's pretty small; but I know small was on the wish list, so just be aware. Battery - since it's light, so is the battery. It says it's rated for 6 hours, so plan on just 4. If she'll have access to outlets, no problem. Make sure to set it up that it goes to sleep after X minutes as to not waste battery in her backpack. No DVD Drive - not a deal breaker these days; hardly ever used, and can buy an external one if absolutely necessary. I can't give you much reason not to get this one; I think the 4GB RAM is the only hesitation and just be aware of the limitations of the screen size and battery life.
  13. And just taking for instance the BJs ad; Samsung, 50", 4K (Page 2) and 1080p (Page 3) are fairly comparable where you're paying $480 for 4K and 25% less for 1080p ($350). To me, 25% savings is worth it at this point, but maybe that gap closes again in another year, as well as the number of deals on 1080p TVs diminishes (as we're seeing already).
  14. You're right. And in fact, holiday decor is lacking in general. I think really you only have Pg 26, and you'd certainly expect more than that.
  15. That was a doozy. I was still ironing out a few specific items, but NOW those last ones are typed up, too. There are many items on sale now, but also no $15 KC, and just the same 15% coupon that we'll get on BF. Not yet worth it, to me.
  16. I'd wait if it were me, too. There's lots more time that they're going to want to sell these devices in high volumes.
  17. Did you forget a link to it?
  18. Probably Wed-Fri next week after the election. We may see a few of the mid range come in through the weekend.
  19. Yep, not quite candy cane striped, but still festive... http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=104607646 Also, note that these are indoor only; still useful for the tree, etc.
  20. We just got a handful of legitimate ones today.... hang in there. In the meantime, you can look through and find out what tools and smokers and holiday lights that you need ;-)
  21. UGH. Yes!! That wretched PIN just to use rewards points; c'mon Sears/KMart. You're the ONLY ONES that do this.... No one is going around using other peoples' $0.78 of points!
  22. I agree and think that's an accurate assesment & perfect starting spot for a recommendation; again with the 500GB vs. 1TB HardDrive option, with an additional external drive, if necessary (got 1TB drives last year for < $40).
  23. Does it state that you can release their ad whenever you feel like it? Does it talk about them continuing their poor customer service? I wonder if at this point, they just put the title at the top in corporate letterhead and type "You know the drill. For additional details, please reference last year's letter."
  24. OP from this discussion got one at WM a few days ago so I can confirm that's NOT TRUE. LOL. I feel like we're playing Pokemon Go, here... Wild Hatchimals can spawn up just about anywhere, but they are very rare. Now I feel compelled to check Harbor Freight next time I'm in there.
  25. Maybe, a new press release that: Offers Gummi Bears insteadGuarantees to always have 2 registers open from now until Christmas Eve.
