We have it and they make you buy a certain few of the monthly movies through the year. But, like you said, you get a great deal on the ones up front. It really just about works itself out to be about the same in the end. However, it's almost inevitable that you forget to respond to the email and cancel the movie they are about to send you each month and will bill you for, and will require you to pay shipping to send it back...

Official Black Friday VIDEO GAMES Discussion Thread

I still think Kohls gives you your biggest bang for your buck; but it also depends on which game you want. Kohls comes with Minecraft. But for $250 you get the console, controller and 1 game. Sure, Dell give you another game and controller at that price, but with your $85 ($75 in KC, $10 in Y2U) in rewards, you should be able to buy your own extra game (of your choice) and controller with that $85 at Kohls. -
I think that's a pretty safe bet. I've seen years where it was still dead 3 hours before, and other times the line was 100+. Good luck!!

It's not too bad. I place 50+ orders on Amazon a year. Splitting them into their own orders (with one-click turned on) doesn't take but a few more seconds (just place the order after each item) and I get $30-$40 of free digital content from them. And speaking of Lightning Deals... just had an order that I placed yesterday and found it on Lightning Deal now; canceled that order, and re-ordered for 22% off (on something I was already buying anyway). This one I just got lucky on. Oh, and used No-Rush shipping so there's another $1

All part of the fun! I can't say that I've hit the mad rush times at Michaels on BF so they may not be as bad as Joann. I'm curious to hear your report when you get back....after you put up your new tree, of course.

I'm thinking a ticket on this one. They can't fit those ride-ons anywhere in an already over-crowded store. I bet you'll get a ticket before you even go in the store, rather than having to go back in the ride-ons section. Best to check with your store manager about their plan. Though, I wouldn't bother until this weekend; as employees (and even managers) are often clueless as to what's going on until right before it goes on... How early are you planning to go to get in line?
-
What's the advantage of that? You don't have to go stand in line for it?
-
I second that to a Tee!!! "Oh, you're going to give me a $5 Prime Pantry Certificate when coincidentally, it's a $5 flat-fee shipping rate? So, basically you're giving me free shipping!!!!!.....When I already have Prime....and get everything shipped for free anyway.... Um, no thanks. That's no better than your Lightning Deals that are 10% off retail price." I often buy a majority of things in separate orders and use the $1 MP3 for No-Rush Shipping and then later that day place a Free 2-day Shipping item order and usually they'll group everything together in one shipment and I get it all in 2 days anyway + the credits.
-
I don't that'll go immediately, but you really never know. I think mostly the cheaper ones go faster and you'll still have a decent bet to get one. It's not worth leaving family time early since you'll still have a chance to get it, and not so far-fetched that it'll guaranteed to be gone by the time you get there.
-
Agreed. I'll pay an extra few $$ for it; and often pick No-Rush Shipping and get $1 back in MP3. Most items are still shipped by Amazon and still Prime eligible.

Thanks, Brad! Finally got one this year. I'm wondering how many entries were actually by people that hadn't yet won. I feel like I had 75%+ chance to win this one, and still was 15th out of 15 ;-) Looking forward to it!

Go to the blackfriday.gottadeal.com site and there's a search box to search the ads. "Refrigerator" will get you a plethora of results. "French" might narrow that down to only french door models. From there, browse your price range and compare brands/models.

Doorbuster and hot items will be in palette displays in the middle of the aisles (or tucked over in babies r us section). You'll want to ask where your item will be. Yes, pick a slip and pay for it. You'll pick it up around back. A few years ago I was able to order it online Thu morning and pick it up that night. You run the risk of getting it canceled, but maybe I got lucky. Yes, there are certain items they will hand out tickets for. I highly doubt they will give you a price adjustment on BF. I've done that many times on regular sale items and just brought the receipt back the next day, or even two days; but I'm guessing not for BF. As Riven mentioned, beware that this store is crazy and while the checkout line is usually organized, it takes a LONG time. The line weaves you through the games section and they have line monitors at various points.

I've always got my stuff in 2 days. I think maybe once or twice it hasn't and when I contact customer service, they often credit me another free month of Prime membership. A few times it wasn't there after 4 or 5 days and they shipped out a new one (granted, the product was only $10-$15...) overnight and got it the next day. And then usually the original one straggles in a day or two later, as well - so then I have two. 95% of what I want to buy ends up being Prime eligible. However, I agree with the LD being less than stellar. So many times I want to tell someone "10% off is not a Lightning Deal!!!"

It's not just about fame. Some people do it for tradition. If you go with friends and family, it's often quality time spent together and really no different than taking a week-long camping trip in the woods.....with wifi....and restrooms....and starbucks within walking distance....and a really great deal on a TV, or 4, after it's all said and done.

Does anyone know who had the best deal on KitchenAid mixers?
bribri25 replied to lovebears65's topic in 2016
Nice work. I'm wondering if you get $90 KC since technically you're paying $329.99, which is over $300; and therefore $90 KC. Still a great deal and crossed off the list! -
That is the most sale items packed into 12 pages that I've ever seen!
-
Sure will. I wonder if Amazon is going to match that...
-
This is usually discussed in each store's discussion. There's nearly 100 retailers people discuss on the forums and no one has a full list readily available. However, if you specify which stores you're interested in, we can help you out. There's a few big ones that offer free shipping with no minimum, and some that require a minimum purchase amount. So, let us know which stores you're looking at, or go check the store specific discussion threads.

As opposed to my elementary-aged ones that get up before the sun does...
-
Oh, you definitely can. Just not for the early access on Monday. You'll have to wait for Wednesday night / Thursday morning on the normal sale.

Awesome phone!!! Great deal.

That's because you have to get up at 6am to type up the ads released overnight ;-) Menards tonight? Lowes?
