I don't think I have ever been first in line, but I have usually gotten what I wanted from most stores.

I am hoping that BF prices don't beat items I've already bought but I doubt they will. I have most of the grandbabies done. I still need to buy for my kids and their spouses, parents, brother etc.....

My kids are mostly adults now and they still love getting a stocking. I have cut back too and now each family buys everybody 1 stocking item. ( so I don't have to buy as much to fill them) Best stocking stuffer last year I think was those little fans you can plug into the USB drive from my DS and DDIL They work great in those little portable chargers!! We have a total of 20 stockings to do this year so I am always looking for great ideas.

We are not a a big TV watching family, but I am trying to talk to DH into a newer model. Ours is an antique!!! So I am hoping for a 40" at a great price, otherwise he'll say ours still works.

I have a DD and a DDIL who are asking for Kindle Fires, so if the price is great it might happen, still not sure yet what I want to get them. I also love the Amazon toy clearance that other gottadealers post.

This year I will miss Sports Authority. They gave away a gift card most years and one year those foldable chairs too. I miss KBToys too

You might consider doing you dd's stocking with one of the really small stockings and putting in tickets to something she would enjoy or if she is like my DD she is into anything crafty, so she wants pens you can ink a stamp with, alphabet stamps, card stock, beads and jewelry making supplies, For my Dads stocking, he wants a tire gauge, a magnifying glass(to look at coins) and candy

I live in an area with lots of competition too, Target is right across the street but my local Walmart has stopped price matching (at least the way they use to) I'm not sure about online things but that seems like a lot of trouble and Walmart here is slow enough.

My DS actually did gift baskets for his nieces and nephews last year (all 7 and under) per family He did a movie (Walmart BF 1.97 I think) popcorn, juice boxes, some candy and a pair of pjs ( also Walmart BF) per child. They were very excited about their movie night.

I personally like Chesapeake, but that is close to my work and to family. Lots of great areas around here to buy a home, just depends on what he is looking for and how much he hates driving in traffic..

We are not far from there, Ill be shopping in the Chesapeake area mostly, but Hampton Roads all intersects. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your son!!

Thanks I always order ornaments for DD13 and DGDs and free shipping helps. The ornaments are on sale too. Not a Christmas gift but a fun tradition.

I think Kohls ends up with the best deals, if you consider Kohls cash, rebates, and rewards into it. I have bought a couple from there over the years as gifts. One year Amazon had one for $99 but I have not seen that since.

Nursing homes are one place to consider. I also like doing the angel tree and or asking our local Social Service for a family who has requested help. I am sure you'll find a great way to use your shopping skills!!
