It seems our Christmas Eve traditions have changed more than I thought. I would start to type and realize we use to do it another way. DD13 gets to open a present on Christmas Eve and we will go to a Christmas Eve service at my parents church. Those two things have remained the same.

It seems the last few years some things have gone by the wayside. This year I am missing Sports Authority and the coupon from Steinmart. I am also wondering if Kmart is opening early Thanksgiving morning. I also noticed Walmart is not doing the 1 hour thing this year either???

one of my favorite features is the search ads in the black friday section. Just type in sheets and it will tell you all the stores that have them on sale black friday and the price. Personally I like the ones at Walmart

Free Wifi is available so many places that a kindle tablet would work too. You could even pre load it with age appropriate books and games and of course a cover and small amazon gift card. I would also recommend sharpie marker sets and other craft supplies, board games, bath and body works, lego sets for girls, easy bake oven with supplies, puzzles ....

I went to Walmart and saw one Holiday Helper but she was working the register, I did not get pointed to the shortest line (however I was able to find my own) and I did not get a candy cane. Hopefully we will get some decent deals when the ad comes out.

DD has a Disney themed tree in her room each year. In years past she has used other ornaments too, but this is where she displays her Disney ornaments one for each Christmas. This year she chose the Siamese cats from Lady and the Tramp.

We don't have a traditional dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. For us Christmas Eve is homemade soup and maybe a sandwich. Christmas Day we have a huge breakfast and then open presents.

They usually have a small BF ad. Usually they have had a coupon that you can't scratch off until you are paying at the register. 10 off 10 is the usual but there are some bigger ones. I usually go for something in their ad.

I hope she gets to go. My only concern would be someone hurting the dog accidentally.
