I always use by GM credit card so I can later save on a new car!

First find out if he wants XM or Sirius. I like the channels offered on Sirius a lot better than what XM offers. No Howard Stern on XM for example.... Better rock stations on Sirius. Do your homework before buying a satellite radio!

Cash is king but I have to use my GM credit card since I get 5% back for the purchase of a new vehicle. I saved $1350 when I purchased my truck last year. I hope to save $1000 or $2000 when I purchase a new car in 2-3 years.

I buy it after Christmas when it is cheap!

You just have to set a higher max bid! I try to snipe but it doesn't work if the original bidder has the high bid set higher than I want to pay for the item.

Funny you mention that. I checked this morning and the low is going to be 47 on Thanksgiving. Still one more day before I can see BF forecast...

Every year I have at least one rebate I don't get. It is always one of the small rebates for $5 or $10. Last year when I didn't get one I tried to call the listed number and got an answering machine. I left a message but never got called back. Sent them a number of emails also.... Three years ago I had two rebates from Best Buy on an eMachine PC. The processing center claimed it never received one of the rebates. I got my money after I proved to them I had bought the PC. So remember to make copies of everything you submit to them.

Same here. I have a lifetime supply of FAR and almost FAR CD-Rs!!! Now if only I could find that many DVD+Rs....

I can't recall getting great deals on DVD+R's without rebates....

Since I don't see anything I want that much this year no more than 1 hour. Now if I wanted one of the big ticket items I would be at least 4 hours early.

The ones I find odd are the mystery gift cards where you don't know the value of the card. That sounds like gambling to me and I'm surprised that eBay allows those.

Maybe the card was a gift to the person selling it and they don't buy from that store?

I don't think most states have a waiting period on rifles. At least in Texas we don't!

I used to buy a lot at Officemax. I'm going to skip them this year. The nearest Officemax is 41 miles from me and I'm not driving that far for a 100 pack of DVD+R's for $11.99! Staples has better deals this year and the nearest one is only 19 miles from me.

I have changed my mind. I'm going to Staples first this year! I only wanted blank DVD+R's from Best Buy and don't feel like standing in line for hours just for those.... Plus I can save gas by skipping Best Buy since it is 41 miles from me. The nearest Staples is only 19 miles from me!

I don't know what to do now. I did a search on CompUSA and found the 2 stores in my area have closed! I will have to drive to Austin if I want that UPS.... Unless I can buy it online.....

It ain't just Best Buy. I'm disappointed in all the ads this year. I will get an UPS at CompUSA. It's not a super deal but my current UPS is dying.... As to the hard drive at Best Buy. Another disappointment! I got a better deal on a 160 GB hard drive at Circuit City months ago. Also got a HP flat bed scanner for $5 AR at Office Max earlier this year. I don't think any one has a cheap flat bed scanner this BF.... It pays to get the stuff anytime it is offered instead of waiting for BF....

Already got a fast computer and a good TV so I guess the APC 1500va UPS at CompUSA since my current UPS is dying....

In Killeen, TX the line is always in front of Best Buy. The Staples is two stores down so I wait in the Best Buy line, get my shopping done there and then go to Staples. Staples always has what I want so I see no need to go there first.
