  1. Always check the expiration date when buying grocery. Everything I bought is good for at least a couple of more months.
  2. I don't know how many Big Lots are carrying merchandise from closed Winn Dixie stores but the one in Temple, Texas just dropped the price to 75% off the marked price for all remaining Winn Dixie merchandise. I just bought $160 of grocery and miscellaneous stuff for $40!!!
  3. UPS is the best. I always pay for ground shipping when ordering from within the state and receive the package the next day.
  4. Just got my Amazon credit card. I called the cardmember service number and verified that I got my 2 routers for $26.43!!! :gd_purple
  5. Did anyone else receive their orders and what were you charged?
  6. I got my 2 routers a couple of days ago. I was charged $26.43 and haven't received any additional emails from Amazon stating the total has changed. The invoice on Amazon still shows $26.43. The only part that worries me is I charged the routers to my Amazon card I just applied for. They gave me instant access to the card but now I don't have a number to call to verify what I was charged..... My question for those whose billing amount changed did the total of the invoice change on Amazon.com and did they also email the change to you? I don't think the $30 from the Amazon credit card for new sign up applied either. Wouldn't my invoice be zero if it did? Not a big deal there as I can use the $30 on books (I hope!).
  7. If the stores open at 5 AM I will be in line around 3:30 AM as I don't think I will need any big ticket items next year. Now if one of the stores has a mid to high range computer for cheap I will be in line at 6 PM Thursday!
  8. I peak as I arrive at my first store and crash after I leave the last store on my list. Does that make me a BF junkie?? Oh well, this website will help me with my fix!

Status is "processing" for my order...
  10. I'm glad I went to CC first. But then again I didn't go there for the big ticket items. I got the stuff I wanted and got out so I could get to Staples. I walked pass a long line on my way out of CC. I believe it was for those laptops and desktops.
  11. Never been to a Fry's on BF since the nearest one is 80 miles away. What I want to know for future reference is if they handle out tickets for the hot items?
  12. Oh, why not? Its your money! I would had cut the UPC out now. But thats just me!
  13. It was worth it to me! But I didn't have to wait in line once I got in CC. I got the items I wanted and headed to the next store. I remember seeing a large line when I was leaving CC. I guess that was for the poor souls that had to wait 5+ hours to get their cheapo PCs?
  14. Reminds me of BF 2002. I was the first at BB and that was 04:30 when they opened at 06:00. They didn't have real good deals on the eMachines that year in the ads. But the great thing was they added a second rebate while I was in line. So I got an eMachine for $99 AR (no monitor for that price) when I wasn't there for the PC but who can refuse that? Those were the days....
  15. Recently Staples had a deal where anyone could get McAfee Internet Security Suite 2006 for free after 2 rebates. I found a problem as soon as I read the fine print. Both rebates wanted the original UPC code! I called Staples and they said to make a copy for one of the rebates. I did that for the smaller rebate. Guess what? I got both rebate checks on the same day! So it doesn't hurt to try. Go for it and you might get both $30 rebates.
  16. If there is something I want I will be there. I don't care for the low end computers so I won't be there all night for that.... But for blank DVD+Rs, hardware such as hard drives and DVD burners, and FAR items I will show up 1 or 1.5 hours early.
  17. I think I would complain that the promotion codes didn't work out! Then if they won't honor it cancel the order.
  18. I got an email from Amazon stating the items have been shipped!!!! One thing odd I noticed is the PCI adapter card disappeared from my order! So I have to spend $26.43 to get $40 back in rebates. I hope to sell the routers on eBay for $20 each. I also signed up for the Amazon credit card which was suppose to knock $30 off the total. Not sure what will happen now since the total dropped to under $30... Not bad money for a few minutes work! The following items were included in this shipment: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Qty Item Price Shipped Subtotal --------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Netgear WGR614 802.11g Wirele $39.99 2 $79.98 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Item Subtotal: $79.98 Shipping & Handling: $6.87 Amazon Trivia $-0.07 Super Saver Discount $-6.87 BUY NETGEAR GET $25 $-25.00 BUY NETGEAR GET $25 $-25.00 BUY NETGEAR GET $25 $-3.48 Total: $26.43 Paid by Visa: $26.43
  19. I'm mailed all my rebates this morning. I had 8 to mail, the other 2 were easy rebates from Staples. I wish all the stores would switch to online rebates. I got those 2 done in minutes! Overall, this was a lite BF for rebates. I had 22 for BF 2004 and 32 for BF 2003. I don't think I like the pattern here.... OM not offering many FAR items really killed me. I guess on the bright side I won't spend a week scanning and filling out rebate forms!
  20. Can't the store get it repaired or replaced?
  21. Best Buy took a step backwards this year. Last year was a 160GB Western Digital and this year it is a 120GB Seagate for $29.99??? I went to Staples and got the Maxtor 200GB for $29.94 AR.
  22. Some Wal-marts are organized and others aren't? Why doesn't corporate wake up and make standards for every store?
  23. Nope! I'm done unless I find some good sales in Saturday's paper.
  24. After a good day's sleep I decided to see if I could get the APC 1500VA UPS for $149.99 AR from CompUSA online. I checked and it was online for that price. I ordered it and didn't have to pay shipping!!! Plus I saved a lot of gas and time as the nearest CompUSA is 80 miles away.
  25. I applied for the Amazon credit card and will get $30 off the total. But while doing that they ran out of the laptop card. Oh well, I plan on selling the stuff on eBay anyway!!! Subtotal of Items: $112.17 Shipping & Handling: $9.12 Promotion Applied: -$0.10 Super Saver Discount: -$9.12 Promotion Applied: -$25.00 Promotion Applied: -$25.00 Promotion Applied: -$25.00 ------ Total for this Order: $37.07
