End of the weekend...but fall-like weather is headed to Wisconsin. Yay!

First day of school here and we are face to face instruction. Enjoy your day!!!

She is using a separate bathroom. The 2 others are her boyfriend (I'm sure no mask) and her best friend (also, sure no mask). The 3rd person, she lifts with and they do wear face masks in the fitness center.

Well, the end of my summer officially sucks. One of my kids has Covid. Thankfully, it's a mild case. So far the rest of us have tested negative. But, the quarantine is going to be the end of me. Since I can't completely isolate from her (someone has to bring her meals and I'm a single parent) I have to quarantine for 14 days - but the 14 days don't begin until after her symptoms are gone. It's August. I'm an educator who can't go to the school until at least the first day of inservice. We are going back face-to-face and I can't even prepare. I'm not trying to make a political statement, but please wear a mask, follow the guidelines. Whether or not you believe the experts, QUARANTINE SUCKS and should be enough of a motivator to follow the guidelines. We were careful. I allowed my daughter to have contact with 3 people this summer (outside of family), and 2 have Covid, plus her. UGH.

I ventured out to Walmart when they opened at 7am. They had plenty of flour but the baking mixes (cake, brownies, etc.) were mainly sold out. In other news, we are under a Winter Weather Advisory for tonight - 2-3 inches of snow. Happy Mothers Day?!?!?!

Happy April, everyone! I'm sure hoping this month is safe for everyone!!!

All Wisconsin K-12 schools will be closed. My district had already announced they were closing for 2 weeks so now with the governor's declaration and Spring Break, we won't have school for a month. WOWZA. Looking at virtual education, have a plan in place for providing meals for the free/reduced lunch kids, but still SOOOOO much to think about!

Happy March! And Happy Daylights Savings Time this weekend. I cannot WAIT for it to stay light out in the evening until 7pm!!!

We haven't had a snow day yet and the kids keep complaining about it.
