I will be honest, I think I brought brick and mortar Black Friday shopping to a new level. I broke a bone in my foot 3 weeks ago. When I went for a checkup I told the doctor I MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE BY BLACK FRIDAY, no matter what!

(8 oz.) cream cheese, at room temperature1 cup powdered sugar, sifted6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened1 teaspoon vanilla extractPowdered sugar (optional for decoration) IN THIS RECIPELIBBY'S® 100% PURE PUMPKIN BUY NOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR CAKE: PREHEAT oven to 375° F. Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan; line with wax paper. Grease and flour paper. Sprinkle a thin, cotton kitchen towel with powdered sugar. COMBINE flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt in small bowl. Beat eggs and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until thick. Beat in pumpkin. Stir in flour mixture. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Sprinkle with nuts. BAKE for 13 to 15 minutes or until top of cake springs back when touched. (If using a dark-colored pan, begin checking for doneness at 11 minutes.) Immediately loosen and turn cake onto prepared towel. Carefully peel off paper. Roll up cake and towel together, starting with narrow end. Cool on wire rack. FOR FILLING: BEAT cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, butter and vanilla extract in small mixer bowl until smooth. Carefully unroll cake. Spread cream cheese mixture over cake. Reroll cake. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least one hour. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, if desired. COOKING TIP: Be sure to put enough powdered sugar on the towel when rolling up the cake so it will not stick.

Two things that I do that definitely help with Black Friday and Christmas shopping in general are: I save my $5 bills. If I get one, I put it aside. Over a 12 month period I save about $500 this way. Whenever I get a free gift card with purchase (Target, for example) or a rebate from Menards, I save them. This again gives me a couple of hundred dollars. Hope this helps someone!

Amazon is driving me crazy this year. Can someone answer my question? In the past, they always had a "teaser" when an awesome deal was going to be coming up. Boy, I miss those. But are they slipping these TV deals, etc within the "All Available" deals (as in the ones that have already started) or are they showing up right as the next batch comes "live" every 10 minutes or so? Just gotta know where to start looking...if I don't have to scroll through all the offers that are already live, that saves a ton of time. Gee, I hope this makes sense. Thanks, everyone.
