Happy December! It is so strange to be in the 2nd week of December and no snow on the ground!

HAPPY DECEMBER!!! The holiday season is upon us. There's hope of the vaccine on the horizon. ....and, at the end of the month I get 11 days away from working. Yes, this educator needs a break!

I always stock up on AA and AAA batteries at Menards. Same with their pet pillows and candles. I have no idea how BF will work at Menards this year, but I am already bummed about it. Stupid Covid!

Just two observations: 1. 20% capacity won't mean much because if they include the garden supplies area when factoring capacity (it could be 20 below but it's part of their store???) and areas like that, 20% is still going to be PACKED. 2. Available for pickup is interesting - my closest Walmart is already booked for days. I'd be nervous having something sitting in their storage until I could actually get an appointment. Overall, I sure hope there is plenty of stock online because $99 AirPods would be AWESOME!!!

Bring on the Free Shipping and I might have the majority of my BF shopping done Monday!

This year is going to be a much smaller Christmas. My budget is about $200 per kid. Funds are tighter. Stupid Covid!

October checkin. My kids finished week 1 of virtual because of so many staff being out for Covid and/or quarantine. It's BAD where I live. My county is WORST in WI and the 12th worst in the USA. Please stay safe, everyone!

End of the weekend...but fall-like weather is headed to Wisconsin. Yay!

First day of school here and we are face to face instruction. Enjoy your day!!!

She is using a separate bathroom. The 2 others are her boyfriend (I'm sure no mask) and her best friend (also, sure no mask). The 3rd person, she lifts with and they do wear face masks in the fitness center.

Well, the end of my summer officially sucks. One of my kids has Covid. Thankfully, it's a mild case. So far the rest of us have tested negative. But, the quarantine is going to be the end of me. Since I can't completely isolate from her (someone has to bring her meals and I'm a single parent) I have to quarantine for 14 days - but the 14 days don't begin until after her symptoms are gone. It's August. I'm an educator who can't go to the school until at least the first day of inservice. We are going back face-to-face and I can't even prepare. I'm not trying to make a political statement, but please wear a mask, follow the guidelines. Whether or not you believe the experts, QUARANTINE SUCKS and should be enough of a motivator to follow the guidelines. We were careful. I allowed my daughter to have contact with 3 people this summer (outside of family), and 2 have Covid, plus her. UGH.
