  1. Good to know! I'll be keeping an eye out for that Green machine to go 70 at my store! Fingers crossed.
  2. I was shocked to find all that garland! And I didn't even take all of it! There were still 7 boxes left after I took what I needed for me and my mom. Apparently my store had a lot of inventory in the back that never made it onto the floor for christmas. They were bringing out lights and gift boxes and such on 90% day, which I've never seen before. Not sure if I'll ever hit it this lucky again, but I am so happy with everything I was able to get this year.
  3. Remember how I wanted that garland at $1.50? Well... http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/jakesmommy403/target2.png I scored 7 boxes of it for myself and 4 for my mom!!! Booyah!! Also, as you can see, I got a bunch of other stuff. Was excited to find both Jingle and Bell, some Frozen dish sets, and things like PJ's and picture frames! I was there when they opened the doors on Saturday, and for about 45 minutes it was just me and one other lady. I was able to get everything I was hoping for. Here are some close-ups of some of my highlights: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/jakesmommy403/target3.jpg I decided to drive to the other Target that's about 25 minutes away from me this morning just out of curiosity, but it wasn't worth it. From now on I'll just stick to the one by my house. But I did manage to find a couple of art sets and some Spy Gear at 90% off there. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/jakesmommy403/target4.jpg I stopped back into my Target this afternoon just to see what was left and the place looked like a war zone! I found a few more odds and ends around the store, but this will be it now. There wasn't anything back in the xmas section except Justin Beiber wrapping paper. Lol http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/jakesmommy403/target5.jpg All in all I spent $84 on all of this stuff and saved a little under $840 (some of the food was 70%). So I'm a happy camper! Didn't get the curling iron because I have curly hair so I don't need one. And my store was all out of the EOS lip balms and Scotch Tape and scissors. I did see some posts online from people scoring some Spin Brushes but all the ones at my store rang up regular price.
  4. Still 70 at my Target in southwest PA as of this morning. But I found a ton of the Glad and Zip Lock containers and press n seal wrap! I never find that stuff! 89 cents each. I also got some red Solo plates and Chinette cups. Found some kids' plastic plate and cup sets that weren't Christmas at all but ringing at 70% off! I was hoping to see 90 tomorrow but they were actually bringing out more Christmas stuff from the back, boxes of lighted garland and gift boxes, stuff like that. So I'm thinking they'll give it another day at 70 and then go 90 Saturday morning. I went ahead and got everything I really wanted now at 70% just in case, but I'll be there Saturday morning. If I can score some lighted garland for $1.50 that would be awesome.
  5. That's the most requested snack around here! My guys love sausage balls! Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope it all goes smoothly and you all get to enjoy special moments. And I hope Santa is good to you!
  6. Looks like we're all on the home stretch! All of our friend/neighbor gifts have been exchanged, cookies are baked, and I've boxed up all the presents that are going over to my parents' house on Christmas Eve. And the grocery shopping is done. Tomorrow I'll make my casseroles and stick them in the fridge, and other than that I *should* be ready to go! My kids have reached fever-pitch excitement and Santa can not get here fast enough.
  7. So how's everyone doing? All done with the shopping and wrapping? I bought one more thing for my brother's dog and realized I'm out of wrapping paper, so I shoved it into one of the giftbags with one of his other gifts. (Dogs don't care about presentation.) Tomorrow I'm heading to my BFF's house an hour and a half away so we can have some girl time and exchange presents. Then Sunday is the big cookie baking extravaganza in my kitchen. On the roster for this year: Cherry Dandies, PB Kisses, Molasses cookies, Chocolate Mint cookies, sugar cookies decorated by my two mini chefs, and snickerdoodles. We're so close to Christmas I could scream with excitement! I hope everything is going smoothly for all of you.
  8. I'm excited to see my DS4's face when he sees the big plush giraffe standing next to the xmas tree, and to see DS9's face when he sees that not only did he get Skylanders Swap Force but also a 3DS XL! Of course, Santa is bringing all of that so he gets the credit, but I LOVE their faces on christmas morning! They're going to have so much fun this year. There's going to be a lot of goodies under that tree. I've really been shopping since July, and managed to get almost double what I normally do for the same amount of money. So as far as presents from me and not Santa, it might sound dumb but my teenaged little brother really wanted a "Charles P Scene" bandana and they were impossible to find...I finally got one on Ebay. He isn't going to be expecting to get one at all, let alone get something that "cool" from big sis. Lol. I can't wait to see his face.
  9. Yikes. I definitely used my Target debit card at least once in-store between those dates. Am I at risk?
  10. I was waiting on one more package from Kohls, they split all my orders up and the last item I was waiting on was a pack of Animal Planet dog toys. Well today I finally had a Kohls box waiting on my front porch, but instead of the dog toys they sent me....a rolling pin. Umm? I took it back to the store and the lady laughed and said they've had quite a few mix-ups come in over the past week. What's going on at the warehouses? Lol. Anyway, they were all out of my dog toys so I got a dog blanket instead. Kinda bummed because the toys were cute, but at least it was a present for a dog and not a human. He'll never know.
  11. I'm all done, but I've still been seeing some great deals. I did mostly Amazon this year, they still have a lot of great sales going on and you can still get your stuff in time for Christmas. I guess it really all depends on what you're looking for. This year I was out for video games, movies, toys, cookware, power tools, and odds and ends. Managed to not pay retail on a single thing.
  12. Have you ever seen the movie Spinal Tap? It was along those lines. It started out weird but then they went into a soaring guitar version of The First Noel and we were like ok here we go. But then it all went downhill. They had a narrator telling some nonsensical story about a business man and a girl in a Russian coat and babies and something...it was hard to follow. And they played the Christmas songs we expected but they were scattered throughout some other really bad (like cheesy bad) songs, and girls who couldn't sing whipping their hair around and dancing. And the computer graphics from 1998 that they used as their background...hilarious. You'll get to see a poorly animated tiger run down like 5 hallways and have the gates shut. Also a dragon. Good times. And the whole second half of the show isn't Christmas...it's songs from their albums, and I didn't even know they did stuff other than Christmas. (After hearing it at the concert I now know why I hadn't heard.) But if you can tough it out through that second half (get some nachos or something), they do end with Carol of the Bells. It was amazing how many people left. In fact, when the violin player went to get on his little platform thingy out in the audience for Carol of the Bells he had to wait for a line of people who were leaving to get by first.(Awkward.) We expected a Christmas rock show. Go into it with the idea that you'll have fun and that the whole thing is ridiculous and a bit embarrassing and you'll be prepared. Wait til you get to hear one of the Stevie Nicks wannabe ladies murder Oh Come All Ye Faithful. Lol
  13. I'm all done shopping and wrapping, and I hear that Santa has all my kids' presents wrapped and ready to go under the tree. Mailed out my cards on the 2nd, so that's done. My cookie baking day in the 22nd. I really feel like I'm on the ball this year! I'm usually not this ready. I've actually been done and ready for a little over a week now. (Whaaaat??) But I did start shopping earlier this year, so that made a big difference. We've already seen Santa at the mall, seen Transiberian Orchestra when they came to town (even though it sucked, we had fun), and we have Breakfast with Santa on Sunday. We were going to take the kids to the Festival of Lights at Oglebay but with this snow coming in tomorrow we cancelled that and will just go driving around town to look at lights instead. The kids have one week of school and then they're both off from Dec 23rd - Jan 5th! We are getting so excited! They keep trying to get me to give them some of their presents from under our "family tree." I'm in!! I'll take that payment any day of the week!
  14. My plans changed. I was going to head to Kohls and Target, but I ended up doing all of my shopping online and getting everything I was planning on getting at the stores, so that was a pleasant surprise. I shopped online at Amazon, Kohls, and Bath & Body Works.

    shipping

I got the rest of my first order today, so now I'm just waiting on my last order to come in. I'm very happy with the speedy shipping.
  16. Same happened on one of mine. Big order, and on Wednesday FedEx delivered just the flatware from the order, but the whole order said complete and delivered. I waited it out and today the rest of that order showed up. I guess that's just how they do things. Maybe call back and see what they want you to do.
  17. I did 90% of my shopping on Amazon too! I love my Prime. I pay it once a year like a bill, and it more than pays for itself. I'm spoiled by Amazon, with the free 2 day shipping and all the amazing deals. They matched everything other place's were offering like the $49 Bissel Little Green, the TVs, all the movies and video games...I bought a ton of stuff on there. I didn't make a budget but I definitely spent a lot.
  18. My mom is at our other Target and said they have a bunch of stuff, too. TV's everywhere. So what do you guys think the plan is with those? Do they mark them back down? I would be willing to grab one of the 32" for my son's bedroom to replace his TV if it went down to like $100-$120 I think.

I was shocked to get part of one of my orders on Wednesday and another order on Friday, but the rest is saying it will be here by the 4th.
  20. Hey hey, calm down. No need to get offended. You know that my comment was a generalized opinion, right? I don't know who you are or whether or not you've been "complaining." Your comments here are confusing to me. You weren't targeted. Complain away, if that's what you like. I'm only talking about all the complaining that's been going on on these boards for months now, it's no secret. Check any thread, you'll see it. I simply don't understand it, that's all. Doesn't mean I think any less of the complainers. Don't jump on me over nothing. Lol If you like the old way of doing it, why not stick to that? There's so much left over in the stores, you don't have to be there at opening time on Thanksgiving. Keep your old traditions, get up in the middle of the night with your ads and head out! Just because the stores moved the times doesn't mean you have to be there for the new openings. If you went out at 3 am you would have been able to find probably everything on your list and not have to fight the crowds we used to see. This could be win-win for everyone who likes different things about Black Friday. Maybe if there's a very popular Must Have item on your list, get that online. But as for the rest, you can keep it the same. That's all I'm saying.
  21. I had to run up to Target for a few things, and was shocked to see how many pallets of Black Friday items were left everywhere. Everything seemed to be back up to regular price from what I could tell. Do you think they'll discount these things again? I mean, they have a ton left. I've never seen it like that before. How many years did we all scramble to get our hands on this stuff in the middle of the night on Thursday/Friday and now it's all just sitting around. You could have walked into Target at 5 am Friday morning like you used to and gotten almost everything on your list, I bet. I've never seen so many movies left over, either. Seasons of shows of everything. All still in the BF pallet boxes but all back to regular price. Video games too. I took some pics but they don't really do justice to just how much stuff was everywhere. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/jakesmommy403/image2.jpeg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/jakesmommy403/image4-1.jpeg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/jakesmommy403/photo1.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y182/jakesmommy403/image3.jpeg
  22. Thanks! I might pop in today and see if we have any left.
  23. Amazon has the original trilogy in a blu-ray DVD combo pack (you get 3 blu rays and 3 DVDs) for $37 right now: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E9PMMX0/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And also the other 3 movies in a blu ray DVD combo pack (3 blu rays and 3 DVDs) for $37: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trilogy-Episodes-I-III-Blu-ray/dp/B00E9PMML2/ref=pd_bxgy_mov_text_y
  24. If it's not even showing in your order history, I would say there was some glitch or something and your order never went through. Is there any money taken out on your card? What a bummer, I hope you can get something figured out for it. Good luck!
  25. How long do you guys think Walmart will keep the sheet sets at those prices? I might pick up a few if I can get them at $25 but I don't want to go to WM if they're regular price.
