I'm looking for DVD's for the kids at cheeeeap prices like last year (thank you, Amazon!), and some deals on tools for the men in my life. Also, maybe some good prices on games for a 3DS and PS3.

Question: Do you think we'll see some decent prices on 3DS games closer to BF? Or will they stay around $30 each like they are now? I got that 3DS XL for my son and I already have Animal Crossing New Leaf and Mario and Luigi Dream Team, but I would also like to get Luigi's Mansion and either Mario Kart 7 or Mario Sticker Star. Both games are around $30 right now, and I'm wondering if those prices could drop as we get into holiday shopping season. This is my first time shopping for a DS system, so I don't really know what to expect there. The only other game thingy we have is a Wii and I'm familiar with the sale times on those games. I was at my Target earlier and there were two endcaps of Pampers diapers on clearance. The sign said 30% off. Just thought I would throw that out there for anyone who needs diapers.

They apply the $10 GC at checkout, which is awesome! I wasn't expecting that, I thought maybe it would come in an email or something. I got some toys and a video game.

DS9 is still loving all his Wii games and Skylanders Giants (he's sooo ready for the new one to come out though), and he also still likes his Lego stuff, although he's taken most of the sets apart to create new things out of them. I've learned my lesson with him and just stick to the smaller sets now, since he prefers recreating them to suit his tastes anyway. Lego Hero Factory is also still a big thing here in our house. DS4 is still loving his big Hot Wheels race track thing, all his animal toys, and the DVD's. I can't even remember what toys he got last year. He's really into action figures right now so that's kind of moved into front and center. I wish I could say that the big Fisher Price airport wasn't collecting dust in the playroom but it is. *sigh* They both still like their board games. We're board game people, though. We like to have game nights, so those are always in rotation and never really lose their cool here. I feel like I need to look through pictures from last year just so I can remember which toys were christmas toys, you know?

Anyone else's kid super into the Octonauts? My DS4 has been getting the little sets here and there when we go to Target, but he's been talking nonstop about the big Octonauts undersea playset thing for weeks now. They play the commercial all the time, so even when he stops talking about it he gets reminded and then it starts all over again. I've been holding out for a good deal on it and stalking it in the store, but I was up at Target yesterday and they were all sold out, which surprised me since they always have a bunch. Made me think maybe this is a popular toy. ( I just ordered one on the Target website a few minutes ago, so now I'm covered. It's a few bucks cheaper, but they have a sale going on today where toys are buy 1 get 1 30% off and a $10 GC with a $75 purchase, which they apply at checkout, plus my 5% and free shipping with RedCard. So I grabbed Octonauts, Doggy Doo (another must-have for DS4), and Mario and Luigi Dream Team 3DS game for DS9.) Just wanted to see if anyone else is into the Octonauts? The toys really are adorable. He plays with them both in and out of the tub.

I know the first one would still be full price, but still I thought I would share in case anyone is looking for a set that normally isn't on sale. Maybe you could score some good deals there. Ok, here we go: DS9 - DONE! DS4 - DONE! DH - Circular Saw Mom -DONE! Dad - Some books and probably some comfy pajamas, odds and ends I see while I'm out Brother #1 - Already have a few things but I need his main gift Brother #2 - Speakers, some odds and ends Nephew Dog - totally counts; we like to spoil him. Fluffy squeaky toys and such Neighbor and her family - a nice gift set of food stuffs and a candle 1 bus driver, 2 principals, 3 teachers, 1 mailman, and a partridge in a pear tree

My husband will put the outside lights up before Thanksgiving so we can have our official Light Up Night with all the family here on turkey day, but we don't put up the tree and the inside decorations until the day after BF.

Ok, I bought the 3DSXL deal from Target. I figure I would rather get it now and have it, along with his top game he wants to go with it, and then I'll wait until BF week to start looking for deals on other games for it. Yay! All I need for him now is Skylanders Swap Force and a few 3DS games and he's done!

Hey guys, what do you think about this deal? I want to get a 3DS XL for my son this year, along with Animal Crossing New Leaf and a couple of Mario games. Target has a bundle online right now with a blue 3DSXL and Animal Crossing New Leaf for $215. Do you think I should go ahead and move on that now? Seems like a pretty good deal. I've checked and I saw that last BF Target had a Mario 3d Land bundle with the 3DSXL for $150 but I'm a little nervous that I won't get anywhere near that thing in the store or online. Your thoughts?

I'm really excited about how far along I am with both of my sons, but other than that I haven't shopped for anyone else. I'm not even sure what I want to get for anyone this year. The boys are all set with legos and action figures, all that fun kid stuff. In fact, all I need for the 2 of them are the things I'm waiting on BF prices for, like video games, a 3DSXL and some board games. Now as for the rest of my shopping...I need some ideas first!! I have to buy for my husband, my parents, and two brothers. We don't have a big family, but still. I have no clue this year.

I went ahead and took advantage of the Target sale on Legos for my guys. My ds9 is into Lego Hero Factory and Chima, and they had some great prices on those plus my extra 5% off with redcard. I also picked up a Galaxy Squad set and a spongebob set for my other son. Usually on BF we see some large sets on sale, but they're rarely sets that my guys are looking for so I tend to skip that. I made the exception a few years ago for some large spy lego set (it was truck and some other stuff) and it barely got played with after about a week so now I stick to the sets they're into. Thanks to this sale I'm all done with Legos for christmas this year! Yay!

I'll need to pick up Skylanders Swap Force for wii and some figures for ds9, along with a 3DSXL and some games for that. I also want to get him some of those Lego chima bionicle guys. I have a box of stuff from the Target toy clearance for him so I basically just need the main stuff. As for ds4, he's almost done thanks to the toy clearance. He wants that Doggy Doo game and a spongebob game, so I'll pick those up. And I want to get a few more action figures for him, like Batman and some villains. I guess that's about it. Oh, and when Turbo, monsters u, and despicable me 2 come out on DVD I'll grab those. The kids loved them.

I do like the hustle and bustle and fun at the stores and when I was younger and didn't host Thanksgiving I was all about it, but I really like getting all those great deals at home now and then just heading out to see what's left instead of standing in line and hoping I get my must-haves. My brother is a night owl so he loves the overnight shopping at the stores. He hasn't converted to an online bf shopper yet. We usually head out to see what's up, but since there's a Steelers game this year we're going to watch that and if I'm awake enough after it I'll go out with him for a while. That's a big maybe though. Thanksgiving itself puts me in the holiday spirit.

If someone would have told me 8 years ago that I would one day have a relaxing Black Friday shopping in the comfort of my home instead of freezing my butt off in line for the stores, I never would have believed them.
