You need to post this in the WalMart thread I'd say you were in the right place at the right time! I've hit their Halloween clearance like that before and just kinda lost my mind lol

I am always amazed from reading others' posts how different stores have such varied items! I never saw any of the items some of you have mentioned (the Christmas hands free soap dispenser e.g) nor the clearanced tape and scissors (I stocked up last year and still have a ton left) but it's fun to look. Not only that,but different stores in the same city have totally different things! It's like they got together and decided that one store would have ten million bags and another store would have tons of bows left over!

Still 70% but I got a chance to look at lots of clearance throughout the store. Found some Axe gift sets for $6.98 and I used the $3 off coupon so not bad for 2 bottles of Excite shower gel,a detailer,and an LED flashlight lol. At least I know where I'll be tomorrow morning at 8 Incidentally,the stores here went 70% last Saturday.

Walgreen's Christmas candy is 75% while their other things (decorations,cologne/makeup gift sets) are at "50% and more".

I checked my receipts from last year and my stores here went 90% on Jan. 5 so I'll be there at 8

Glad you got something, Midwest Mama! I don't know if you do yard/garage/rummage sales,but I often see trees for sale during these. I get most of my "snowpeeps" (I collect snowmen things) during the summer so keep your eyes peeled! At least you have something to start the season with next year

I know what you mean...I wouldn't pay that much for a full tree! I didn't even know such a thing existed until this thread and I wish you luck in finding something to suit your needs. Seems to me you'd be able to leave the branches of a regular tree bent up and not down like the rest of the tree but I don't know.

Thank you. He is doing pretty well for now so we'll take it and embrace it. I love this time of year and don't want to look back a year from now and regret not appreciating every moment. And if that means keeping up my Christmas things until the middle of January,then I'll do it! It seems I'm so busy before Christmas that once it's here,I look back and think to myself, "What? I just put up my tree!" (even though it's been a good month or more) I'm enjoying the Christmas SEASON and not just the day. I think I know how Momof3 feels and want her to know she's not alone

Hey,this is usually MY post after Christmas lol! I know exACTly how you feel-----so much planning and thought and expectations and wonder and awe and everything wonderful and it's over in one day? How can all of that be over so soon? I had my post-Christmas cry on Sunday afternoon but that's not to say it will be my last of the year. I don't know if my husband will be here next Christmas(stage 4 cancer) but I'm trying not to focus on that and try to enjoy each moment as none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. I'm making memories for tomorrow TODAY. I want to look back and say that I enjoyed every moment of the Christmas of 2011 and even though I'm sad it's kinda over, I'm holding onto the spirit and joy of the Christmas season...complete with the music and smells and my Christmas lights that make me happy. I LOVE winter and live for snow and cold so I look forward to walks in the snow and the wonderful rest of winter. Christmas really is more than a day,if you want it to be

Wow,mine was crazy busy! I saw lots of things with clearance stickers but mostly 15-30% off. This store had a lot of Christmas stuff at 50% but it was the things from their "decorator" section (I don't know how else to describe it.It's not with the regular Christmas section but with the decorating things) so some nice things but nothing I needed. I doubt this store will have much left on Monday!

97% done and it feels soooo good :) Most of it wrapped too which feels even better lol!

I've wrapped around 40 so far and it's taken about 6 hours,but I am mostly done for the kids. I let the older kids help wrap ones to grandparents,hubby,etc. I figure I have at most,2 more hours left to wrap PLUS I have all the stocking stuff in bags ready to go into the stockings Christmas Eve! I'm hoping to have EVERYTHING done by the time the kids get out of school on Tues/Weds. :)

Great idea! OP,I'd think they'd love a gift card to any girlie type place: Claire's, Bath and Body Works, or Justice for example. "Girly girls" are easy to shop for,imo!
