As a teacher, I'd 2nd this. It's a nice surprise to receive any present or card of appreciation. But, I'd also stay away from smelly things and chocolate. (At the holidays, there's an abundance of that and some folks are allergic.) But! small gift cards or office supplies are always nice. (Small cause we're still grading your student's papers! Large gcs seem weird to me. Actually, I do an office/school supplies present in December and a personal present at the end-of-year.) You'd be surprised how much teachers spend and on what. Post it notes. Reams of paper. There are still some back to school sales now for folks who want to stock up.

what about magazine subscriptions? many are less than $25/year. i salute you. buying for everyone takes work. i'd organize a family grabbag where everyone pulls one name and buys for one person! said goodbye to the present for everyone a few years ago and it's so much easier but still merry.

Happy feet are a happy kiddo. (My momma always said that.) We need some happier feet! :) Looking for a sale on little kid velcro sneakers. I'd prefer a brick and mortar store so I know they're comfy. And, I'd rather they be Stride Rite or another good brand that will last. Sometimes, you get what you pay for. (Momma also said that. I say, okay, but I don't have to pay full price. ) I'd appreciate any leads. tia. :)r

why not ask parents to donate their copies when they're done? they may be a few weeks or a month late but they'd be free. ladybug, and animal baby families of mags have ones that are nice...but not cheap.

Also totally tech challenged. :) But I'm an ace at following directions. What exactly do you do to burn a vcr to a dvd? Dh will be SO impressed if I do this myself. :) tia.

just fyi, you can't use the toysrus gc on the games transaction. it takes 6 hours to activate the card. that makes the game transaction more than .99c/game, even with the rebate. i think it's a little misleading to include the gc as going toward this transaction. but some future purchase is $10 less expensive.

do you know when those coupons expire? we're planning to go but not before the fall.

Ask an independent photographer to donate a certificate for a photo shoot? Could also ask Michael's/craft store to donate the kits that make mugs/things with photos on them or photobook supplies.
