  1. so, i'm wondering, have the flipflops, beach towels, cute kids' rain gear gone to clearance in your stores? they're all still full price here (durham nc). how long must a girl wait?! lots of spices and birthday candles being put out on clearance.
  2. you're right. today bought one toy at regular price $9.99 but total was over $25 and the $5 toy coupon worked just fine.
  3. i bought $7 of toys (on clearance) and the coupon worked just fine. not sure if it's because their original price would have been over $25.
  4. my neighbor received target coupons in the mail with a reusable card. she's not sure what she did to get it. anyone know? (hoping it's not illegal or illicit! )
  5. hi. just to pose the opposite side--30+ negatives in a month seems high. there are plenty of powersellers without negatives. you should be able to read the sellers response to each of the negatives to hear his/her side. but, if you do buy, paypal offers you some progection. or, if you use your own credit card, and the purchase amount is within their protection, that may be another option if you need it. course if you aren't in a hurry, you can wait for another to appear. good luck.
  6. in what aisle do you find the shutterfly things? did a superfast drive-by some aisles today and didn't see any...but wasn't sure what to look for (box? card?) or where.
  7. what does it mean when something with a clearance sticker scans INF...and what's the best thing to do if you want to buy it? :)r
  8. i second the post recommending consignment sales. some have 50% off final days. good for perfectly good clothes. but if you want special outfits or "stuff," shop earlier. http://www.kidsconsignmentsales.com/ lists consignment sales by state. you may also want to try kohls. (and they're having a sale now; it's listed on the home page.) especially their clearance section. also helps to buy a season ahead--so, buying spring/summer on sale now for size kids will wear next year. it works once kids growth stabilizes--after the first year.
  9. saw clue jr today for $6.98--30% off. what do the experts think? :) (that'd be you!)--any chance it'll go to less? and, what exactly is the difference between clue and clue jr? is it even worth it?
  10. i've been reading all of your amazing finds the past few months and i'm in awe. (i limit myself to once a week, mostly for groceries.) so, i'm wondering... how do you find all the deals? are they just on the endcaps labeled "clearance"? are they ever on the normal shelves? or sometimes somewhere else? really, i'm most psyched about the toy clearance. :) but it's so many months away. thanks!
  11. the oshkosh warehouse at the tanger on I-85 outside of atlanta is closed. i asked at the carter's outlet and they said they haven't heard about a carter's warehouse.
  12. a few ideas i remember from previous years: not sure how old your child is but i remember students hosting a luncheon. the school/pta paid for the food to be catered but the kids set the tables, served, cleaned up. if the staff is small enough, students can present mock awards to teachers. personalized mugs or, you can design/order personalized READ posters from ala (american library association.) (also a cool reward for kids. they'd become famous!) gift certificates or goody bags of office supplies. we spend oodles of money on school supplies each year. you can find out at school what is in the supply closet (so what the teachers get for free at school) and what's not. things i loved: stickers, colored chalk/dry erase/overhead markers, colored paper, electric sharpeners, good hole punch machines. there might also be a teacher supply store in town...though those are better for elementary school teachers who can use their cool things more often. and, yes, gift certificates to food (someone mentioned panera), bookstores is always a nice treat. :)rachel
