  1. I don't know if this has been posted. I can't keep up with this thread. I try. But wanted to let you all know, I got the Girl Tech Stylin' Studio for $16.24. I believe it is 75% off. My nieces are having a blast with it. I get emails everyday of their new makeovers. I saw something on this before Christmas and they said this is great to get girls interested in technology since you hook it up to your computer, take a picture and then manipulate it. My nieces are 7, 4 and 2 1/2. They are all having fun with it. The oldest two can do it themselves. The youngest one, says "I want that hair". "I want that shirt".
  2. I get mine at Sam's club. My epson printer needs four cartridges. I pay $44.76 for all four. The three color and the one black. This is the cheapest I've seen. For the ink I need. http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=325704
  3. I'm glad you found some. But NOW, I can't walk into a store without looking for these. dang I get obsessed.
  4. The worst part....I called last night. It would have been a pain to go pick it up since my husband was out of town for work. And I would have had to rearrange schedules with my two little ones for my older son to be home with them and not have to take them...but I could have done it. But she said it WAS NOT a problem. It would be there. She said they always have things there past the date for pick up. As far as the rep goes, I don't think she had a clue what she was doing. She was trying. But they don't train their employees. There were lots of nice employees walking by. About 10 people asked me if I was being helped. And all of them said "let me get somebody for you" but there was never any follow through. Nice is great....but FOLLOW through on what you need to do to make sure a customer is taken care of.
  5. I love this store. They are VERY pricey. But have GREAT sales. Somebody from GD got me hooked on this store by posting a shirt last year. And they just opened a store right by my house. This link is to their Clearance Sport coats. But watch for their sales too. They'll have buy 1 get two free. They have sales all the time. And the quality is very good. My son (17) loves this store too. I'm waiting for the suit he wants to go on sale for his graduation. I bought him a $650.00 leather jacket for Christmas for $165 (?). http://www.josbank.com/IWCatSectionView.process?IWAction=Load&Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=17433&ViewAll=1
  6. I'm not sure if these are the sites you are looking for, but these are the sites I remember being posted here. HTH http://www.zoolert.com/ This was the second one. But I think you have to register. The Rockband one is working still. Maybe you can change the end name to wiifit? I don't know. http://www.wiialerts.com/get_categories.php?cid=18&cname=RockBand

  8. I HATE WALMART!!!!!!!!! They hire the most incompetent, untrained, MORONS at my local WalMart. With unemployement being so high, they should have their choice of employees, and this is who they hire????? How lazy can they be???? I ordered a DVD "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" to be shipped to store. The date on the pick-up said it had to be by the 12th. So, last night, I called WalMart I talked to the pickup people and said it would be very difficult for me to get there tonight, can I pick this up first thing in the morning. 8:00 A.M. after dropping my kids off at school. She said NO problem. They would hold it for me. I go in this morning, after pushing the screen for help and waiting patiently for over 5 minutes. I start looking for a LIVE person to help me. This lady walks by and says she will get somebody for me. They tell me the lady that works that counter is on lunch. They schedule lunch at 8:00 AM??? They only open for pickup at 8:00AM. The pick-up times are 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM. So why would you schedule a lunch time for when the counter is supposed to open????? So finally I get this girl walk up and says she'll help me. But once again....STUPID!!!! She can't help me at first because she has to log out of another register somewhere so she can't log in. Finally another girl comes over to log in for her. So back to the stupid employee, she has no training. Has NO idea what she is doing. Can't figure it out; calls somebody else over to help her. They say, ok we found it. They walk to the back to get it. I look over at the screen. That isn't what I'm here to pick up!!!!! So they come back out. They say they can't find it. I said because that isn't what I'm picking up. This is!!! And I point to the paper I ALREADY handed her. I told her it was supposed to be picked up, but I spoke to Alisa last night and she said I could pick it up in the morning. Then another 10 minutes goes by and they come back out HOLDING the DVD. But they said the refund has already been issued. I said...ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I said you OBVIOUSLY don't do anything FAST so how is that issue already issued??? I said, fine, can't you just charge me for it??? She said...NO, we have to send this one back to the manufacturer and you have to reorder it. WHAT THE )(^*$????? Are you kidding me????? So now you have to ship it back for them to ship it back to you and me to go through this sh(^* again???? I swear, I can NOT believe, how ONE store can have SO MANY STUPID EMPLOYEES. WHERE IS MANAGEMENT???? And why aren't they doing a better job???? Who hires these people. All I keep hearing is the economy! How stores are having problems and people aren't spending money. Well maybe that is why Amazon did so well over Christmas. You can sit behind your computer and NOT have to confront the stupidity of people just to shop.
  9. I bought one for my husband from Buy.com (8 g for $29.00) and one for my son from Staples.com (4 g for $18.00) for Christmas (neither required a rebate). Also Circuitcity.com When they have sales their prices are really good.
  10. I AGREE!!! I always tell them, I totally understand this is not your fault, but I am very very frustrated. And I really need this taken care of and I need to talk to somebody that has the authority to help me. MOVE UP THE CHAIN THOUGH....somebody will help you...eventually. Explain what your family has been through "calmly". Tell them you have children. It is cold. And you put your trust in their product and their service and at Christmas time your family was in the cold. And this was not the first time. You have had multiple problems with this unit. I did Tech Support and it is the same will ALL customer service. It all depends on who you talk to. I would hear other people on the phone and think...are you kidding me? So make sure you call back until you get somebody that you can talk to. And go up the chain. Be nice about it and kinda make them feel important. Just say....I Hope you can help me and if they can't, ask for their supervisor until you get somebody with the "AUTHORITY" to actually make decisions. Maybe they can replace your unit since you have had so many problems with it. And if not, maybe they can at least extend your warranty since you may need it. Its worth a try. But you really do have to be patient. But make sure they know EXACTLY what you want. Don't be affaid to ask for it. My mom and my brother in law had problems with their lawn mowers from Sears and both ended up leaving with NEW ONES. But they had to keep calling and dealing with people. If you can get to a person that UNDERSTANDS your situtation it will be better. Not all the reps are the same quality...TRUST ME!!! The person sitting at another desk is probably sitting there shaking their head like I did on many occassions thinking....seriously??? So KEEP CALLING...it really can make a difference in WHO you talk to.
  11. When I went to pick up at walmart, they gave me a receipt. I asked her if I needed the packing slips because on the first order she said I did. But after that she wasn't going to just give them to me. I wonder if they could re-print a receipt. You had to pay for the item on Walmart.com so they should have all the information. All Customer service is slipping EVERYWHERE. When I worked retail there was NO WAY this sort of "help" would fly. The customer came first and we NEVER let the customer leave without helping them to THEIR satisfaction. Now you go up and people are on the phone, texting, talking to eachother, bitching about their jobs. etc. etc. etc. They aren't trained. They act like they are doing you a favor to check you out or help you. There is NO common sense. Its really sad. Especially right now with the economy the way it is. There are cut backs and so many people looking for jobs. Employers have their PICK of employees. And this is what they are choosing????? I did a return to Target yesterday. The manager was walking by and told her when you do a return make sure you open the box. She said oh, I forgot to check the camera from the customer before me. So she goes and grabs the camera box. I said...."NOW"???? That isn't my return. I need to go, then you can deal with the PREVIOUS RETURN.
  12. My son is 8. We have to format the flashcards for him. But he has used it to study for his tests. He likes it. He has taken it to school and took turns testing his friends. He seems to like it. But it SUCKS THE BATTERIES!!!! I had some rechargeable PDA batteries, but they didn't work. Still on the hunt for rechargeable batteries that will work. If anybody has any idea on these, let me know please. Also, I wish it had a backlight. It would make it easier to see. It does take time on the part of the parent to keep it updated.
  13. I got the leapfrog crammer for my son (8). We made the flashcards for him to study for his upcoming science test (Solar System). It is WELL Worth $15.00. Its not worth the $59.00 they were selling it for. But it does work. And it isn't hard to add flashcards. We havne't put any music on it yet or used it for anything else. But he likes studying the flash cards on it. I just wish it had a backlight.
  14. You can't use your credits from the rewards program like that. I made that mistake. I bought a game using the rewards credits then I found it cheaper at Kohls. I went to return it and I was MAD! I had get the manager. I said...I earned those credits through spending using my rewards card. I UNDERSTAND you CAN'T give me cash back, or a credit on my credit card, but I should get STORE CREDIT. She said NO, they are like a "coupon" a one time use coupon. If you use it, you lose it. So make sure you use it on something you KNOW you won't be returning. After a LONG LONG LONG fight and reminding them about their Class Action Lawsuit that was brought on because they did the same thing with the Chase Rewards from the credit card, she finally agreed to give me store credit for my coupon. But you don't want to risk being out $30.00 of rewards money. So Just a Heads up. So nobody gets screwed out of their rewards. HTH.
  15. I bought it for my nieces. They haven't used it yet. I've bought them Easy Bake Ovens in the past. They don't use them alot. The mixes are expensive. I don't think it will be something they use all the time. Just a few times maybe? It may depend on how much you paid for it. I bought mine from Amazon and paid like $10.00 (?) so I'm thinking if they don't play with it much it is fine. But these were like $30.00 at Toys R Us. That wouldn't work for me. HTH
  16. The Anaheim Hills Store (Southern California) is 75% off. They had a lot of Christmas. I don't need any Christmas stuff since I bought Target out last year. But I did buy 2 packs of tags and 2 rolls of wrapping paper. Their Dollar well stuff was 50% off. And they were brining in new stuff (not 50% off). Lots of Football stuff. Which works for me since my 6 year old wants a football party. So I got the football and Upright Picks I figured for cupcakes or something at the party. They didn't have any of the Cascade or the Electrosol. They had the Dect phones but they were $59.98. I was there mostly to help my sister dig for Hannah Montana stuff for my nieces party in January. She scored and got lots of the lip glosses for $1.24 a 5 pack. And some little Hannah Montana tins with handles that had candy inside but she is going to take out the candy and weigh them down and use them as balloon weights and those were .49 cents each.
  17. I have two cameras. I have the Digital Canon Rebel which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. It is GREAT for the kids sports. It takes pictures fast. But it cost about $700. And we have the telephoto lens. So it is bigger but really nice to have and takes GREAT pictures. Especially for the kids school programs and awards ceremonies. And we have a Canon SD1100. It is a cute little camera that you can take with you anywhere because it is tiny. It takes pictures pretty fast. It also comes in Silver, pink, blue, brown and I'm not sure but there may be other colors out there too. It is about $159.00 http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Canon-PowerShot-SD1100-IS-8-Megapixel-Digital-Camera-Bohemian-Brown-SD1100IS/sem/rpsm/oid/205811/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do http://www.circuitcity.com/IMAGE/product/detail/can/PC.CAN.SD1100ISBROWN.CN.JPG It all depends on what you are looking for. But I'm VERY happy with Canon.
  18. Do they at least cover the shipping?
  19. My son (17) got a perfect pull up. And the bar has these little screws that you have to tighten with an allen wrench. There was NO budging these little screws. We called the company, they said they'd send out a new bar.
  20. Thank you for posting! The coupon worked for me.
  21. Mine Too!! I'm not THAT fat! I could definitely lose 20 pounds. After 4 children. But I would never describe myself as obese. And when you stand on it it sounds like it says owwww. But I'm enjoying it! My wii age was 31 and I'm 39 (I'm NOT 40 until Jan so I'm only 39) so that made up for it. My kids love it too! I was surprised. I didn't think they would even care. My husband is loving the snow boarding.
  22. My sister and I always tease about that. She said she was going to buy my little guys Kota. I told her I would get her daughter the Hannah Montana Malibu House. For us these are not good toys (others may think they were great). But we have 4 boys and live in 3000 sq ft house. She has 3 girls and her house is about the same. You tend to run out of room after having a few kids and multiple Christmas presents of Barbie Townhouses and big toys like that. My house is usually pretty organized, because my boys love video games and they neatly go into the storage ottoman in the loft where they have all their video games. I have found I usually win with the "obnoxious" gifts because it seems everything for girls comes with a bazillion little pieces. She now has Pixos all over her house. I bought her a little sewing machine that has to be a pain. I got them a cupcake maker and that has to be a mess. oh, man, I'm not a really good sister. But I'm a GREAT AUNT!!! Neither one of us have, but I hear that Moon Sand is really messy. And a big set of little legos is really obnoxious.
  23. Wii Fit Balance Board was a huge hit at our house. But ours must be broken. Because It says I'm fat.
  24. When will they do ship to store?!?! If you don't offer free shipping, you have to at least offer ship to store for free. I guess that is why I don't own my own store.
  25. I've returned Seasonal Clearance to both Target and WalMart. I've always had a receipt, but I've never had a problem. I would definitely try again. I know my husband would have come home bags in hand. I however would have said..."NO, I need to speak with a manager. I have a receipt. I purchased these AFTER Christmas. So returning them after Christmas shouldn't be a problem". Especially since it is so soon. You aren't returning them in March. They can just put them back and somebody else may still be happy to buy them. It all depends on who you get. I was SO mad because I went to Target to buy a TV. The guy that helped me was an idiot. He said they didn't have the tv I wanted and walked away. I was like...HEY WAIT I'M NOT DONE! But he was gone. So I went and got another employee after WAITING...I asked him to do a search to see what other stores may have the tv in stock. He said...we have this here. Did you want me to get it for you? I said YES! Then I told the other guy...THIS IS THE TV YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T HAVE. Then I complaining about the idiot with another customer that had a similar problem with the same employee and another girl working there heard us. She said Target is ALL about customer service and I told her. Target is a COMPANY! Inside that company you have good employees...but there are also idiots. And this guy should NOT work for Target since he doesn't follow the Target policy of good customer service. So moral of my long story is, don't take one person's word for something. Try again. I'm sure they will take it back.
