We don't have TIVO, but we have the multi room DVR from Verizon. We also had the PVR from Dishnetwork. I love being able to record what we want and scan through the commercials. No interruptions and you can watch an hour tv show in 40 minutes. I like that. But we have Verizon and the system came from Verizon. I don't know anything about after market systems and how they work. But not having to watch live tv is the GREATEST. It would be a GREAT GIFT!!! I know I'm not giving you much information that you need...but I would say it is DEFINITELY worth looking into. You will love it!!!

I completely agree! My niece put this on her list (she's 4). I thought it would be around $20.00 I couldn't believe it when it was $50.00!?!?

I guess for my boys (6 and 8) I'm thinking at least it is something different. It would probably depend on where you live. Where we live we have a big hill behind our house and it gets REALLY dark at night. I personally would love to know what is out there at night. They get great reviews. And its kinda cool to show the kids that this technology exists. There are a lot of toys out there, but there are so many that do the same thing with just a twist. I have no idea what to get my boys. I look through toy catalogs and nothing looks that great. We just went through our toy closet. My boys have 4 operation games. All different themes, but the same game. My sister and I walked through toys r us for hours and can't come up with anything. They already have gaming systems (DS, PS2, Wii, Leapster, etc) so they are getting some games. They have bikes and board games and science kits and lots of books and all sports equipment you can imagine. I guess because these are NEW and there isn't anything like it that works this well, they are "so special". I have to make a list for two sets of Grandparents, and aunt, and us and can't come up with much.

I saw on another site, that this is supposed to be $22.00 for PS2 starting tomorrow, Sunday, November 23 at Target. I don't normally use the other site. I found it accidentally, so I don't know how accurate it is. hth

I hope she isn't too old for it. I bought it for my three nieces. One will turn 7 in January, one is 4 and one 2 1/2. I was just going to give it to all three of them. The age on the box says 5 and up. I think, the younger ones will like it. But my oldest niece (7) will probably be the one that can actually get it to do what it is supposed to. I paid $135.75 including tax at Kohls when they had the 30% off and free shipping. hth

This may be a stupid response, but I just did this. I went back through my KB toys account to see when/if my item shipped. I looked for my email. I had ordered from etoys.com not kbtoys. It is the same company. The websites look the same. It was just supid on my end.

Yes, as long as you get the BAND KIT. I just pre-ordered Rockband 2 (game only) from Bestbuy to pick up at my local store when available. But the release date NOW says December 17th. Why do these companies do this to us?? I wonder if it will be out on time to pick up before Christmas, or the date will change again. It was originally supposed to be November 18th (?).

I want one of these for those cold baseball nights. Although wouldn't need one this year, being that it is still 80 degrees in November in California. But we do have some cold nights and it would be nice. But....why is there a plug? The description says portable and references ice fishing. But they show the plug. Does anybody have one and know why? The Old Uggs last FOREVER. I have a pair I wear all the time. I bought them in 1998. So 10 years and counting. I wear them in the snow, in the rain and they just keep wearing well. I've bought other brands and they look fine and wear well. But don't keep your feet dry in snow. Uggs have been worth the money for me. Although I don't think they are made the same as they used to be. I had a lot of friends that have had problems with the Chestnut classic uggs ripping. They sent them to Uggs and Uggs fixed them. But WHAT A PAIN!!!!

I bought this for my son last Christmas. I originally paid like $199.00 then it went on sale, I had it adjusted. It went on sale again, I had it adjusted again. I ended up paying like $89.00 for it. I thought that was incredible. This is absolutely AMAZING!!!! It looks SO cute out of the box. I was VERY impressed. My son has been happy with it.

That trashcan is the GREATEST!!!! I have it. It works AWESOME. You just walk in front of it, and it opens and closes on its own. GREAT when you are cooking dinner and don't want to touch a trash can. This would make and awesome Christmas present. And FREE SHIPPING!!!! I bought one for my mom for her birthday and my sister for Christmas last year. You'll love it!!!!

My kids have Rockband 1. They are 6 and 8. If I was going to buy it now, I'd probably buy Rockband 2 and buy the Rockband 1 disk only. But since we already have Rockband 1, I'll stick with the equipment I have, and purchase the Rockband 2 disk only. The equipment difference doesn't seem worth the extra $$$. My kids are too little to play online with others. And by the time they are ready to do that, there will be something new. That is just my opinion for our family based on ages. If your kids are older, they'll probably want Rockband 2 and the disks for Rockband 1 and the track packs 1 is already out, 2 will be out in a few weeks (nov 17 or 18 I think). Each have about 20 songs. And that is only for PS2 and Wii. I believe PS3 and Xbox, you download the songs and don't need to buy the disks. I believe this information is accurate. Because I've been trying to make the decision on upgrading or not. I also heard (not sure) that the cymbals are an expansion option and ONLY work with the Rockband 2 drumset. They don't come with the band kit for Rockband 2.

Dang....I paid $99.00 for this last year and thought I got a good price. Worst part, it is still in the box!!!! I don't even know if it works.
