  1. This is still working by the way. Ordered a couple books back when this was first posted. Decided I wanted a couple more and just went on today and it still worked. Amazon is either really not paying attention or just doesn't care.
  2. JC Penny has Big Foot on sale for $74.99. Use code "4relves" and save an additional 20% bringing it down to $59.99. You can have it shipped free to the store nearest you! Link
  3. Has anyone seen any good deals on the Fisher Price iXL? Tried to search for it in te forums and cam up with zero results. Thanks!
  4. Sorry, I don't "get" the whole tax free thing. Here in VA the limit on school supplies is tax free on the first $20 purchased. And on clothes it's tax free on the first $100. Sales tax is 5% here. That means if I spent my limit of $20 I saved myself a whopping dollar! If I spent my limit of $100 on clothes I could save $5 more. Yet every year people go CRAZY, the stores are packed. Is it worth waiting in line for $6? Have you ever thought about what your time is worth? My biggest problem with the sales tax holiday is this, while the savings to the individual are negligible, the cumulative loss in profit to the state is staggering (in the range of 12 to 15 MILLION dollars!). I don't know about else where in the country but in VA we are having a significant budget crisis. We do not have enough money for education, layoffs and furloughs of state workers are rampant. How many teachers jobs could be saved with 15 million dollars? How many state workers? Don't get me wrong, I know government waste is everywhere, but for me saving $6 or even $100 (if it were possible) is not worth someone's job.
  5. Which reminds me. I never quite got the point of advertising campaigns for certain products. Eggs for one. Not a brand of eggs. Just eggs. Is there really someone sitting out there somewhere that said, "hmm... eggs I forgot about those!". Milk has undoubtedly spent billions on advertising. I would be interested to see what a difference it made in their sales. I can see somewhat the point of advertising milk and getting it out there as a alternative beverage to soda and whatnot. But then you have advertising for things like electricity and coal. I'll never forget the day I was sitting at home and watching my battery powered TV in my freezing cold house, and I saw a commercial and realized I should go out and get myself some ELECTRICITY!
  6. Well I still haven't got my coupon. I'm so mad I'm never eating eggs again!
  7. Putting this here instead of the Free forum because the offer is now dead. Did anyone see the offer for free eggs on Facebook. It was in the form of a coupon you could print. Apparently the response was overwhelming and more than their servers could handle (like we haven't seen that before!) . Well a bunch of people did not get there coupons. Enough did to make me think this was a real offer. Still, what I find so funny is how upset these people are getting over a dozen eggs! If you go to the fb page and read some of their rants it's downright hilarious. I know times are tight for allot of people right now but seriously if you get that bent out of shape over a $1.50 carton of eggs then you need help.... seriously!
  8. I too have had good experiences buying used off of Craigslist (dryer). If you do buy new don't forget there is a government tax rebate program going on right now on energy efficient appliances.
  9. Yeah, because it's Wal-Mart they must be rude They probably just get tired of dealing with all those illeagle aliens they got locked up in the back working for less than minimum wage. Sorry I just don't get the "Hate Wal Mart" fad. My experiences with Wal Mart and their customer service center have all been positive.
  10. Well never mind. The charge fell off the card and I never got any kind of email
  11. Maybe?!? No confirmation email but no cancellation email either and my card has been charged....
  12. For all you cautious types (which isn't a bad thing by the way) you can rest easy. Domain registration information: Registrant: The Hearst Corporation 959 Eighth Avenue New York, NY 10019 US Domain Name: HEARSTMAGS.COM Much more info listed all can be found by searching whois.com Anyone know any good deals on a kids magazine? Such as Highlights?
  13. I don't have an actual tin here to look at. But it's not going to be tiny. You have to remember this is 20 oz weight not volume. So it's 1.25 pounds. Popcorn doesn't weigh that much. Couldn't find one online that gave the size of the tin and the weight. But if I had to guess it would be somewhere between a 1 and two gallon size can.
