My sons 7 and 9 prefer the PS2 as well especially for sports games like Madden 09 and baseball. They like their Wii and play it and like the games they have for it but not for football or baseball. My 23 year old has a wii and wants PS3 because there are certain games that are made for PS3. The Wii has come down in price and you can get some good game deals if you watch for them. Right now Target has games buy 2 get 1 free. And there was a $10.00 off coupon in the link to coupons that someone posted in online deals. I'd think you can use the $10.00 off coupon too. Which should make the games around $30.00 each. But Jen makes a great point....you do need the extra controllers and those add up. So I guess it depends on how much want to spend. Sam's Club also has good deals on certain games.

My mom bought these for my boys 9 and 7. She got them at Target for $89.00 each. The boys love them. She bought one for my 9 year old for his birthday in March and then my 7 year old wanted one for his birthday in May. It was right before his birthday in May that we found them for $89.00 each at Target. She was able to return the one she got for $109.00. The boys love them!!! They take a little bit to get used to. My boys always wear helmets but this summer my 7 year old turned too tight and the scotter side clipped the ground and he fell. But he still loves his scooter...his biggest concern was....is it scratched???

This is the best way....have LOTS of people helping you look. I'll ask my son to keep an eye open for it at work. I'll keep looking when I'm at Target, WalMart and TRU. I've been doing this for YEARS....I remember searching for Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles back when my now 23 year old was about 5. Back then I only had my sister and me looking. I didn't use my $10.00 off of $50.00 I thought it would have to be $50.00 after coupons and sale. I guess I should have tried. But I did get all 4 dvds for $22.00. $14.99 X 4 = 59.96 - 12.00 (made each video 11.99) = $47.76 - $30.00 coupon = 17.76 PLUS wonderful California Tax = $22.##. I think Toys R Us figures the tax before the coupon. I don't think other stores do that. I didn't know that was legal...but the manager said California State Law says tax is on value before coupons. Kinda like Cell Phones I guess. You still pay the tax on $100.00 (or whatever) for your FREE cell phone. I paid approx. 4.24 tax and tax on $17.76 should be $1.55. WHATEVER! They'll get you one way or another. I guess I can't complain that I paid $22.## for four DVDs. $5.50 each I'll take it! But the tax thing kinda irks me. The dept. manager said they have Snow White for $19.99 and there is a $10.00 coupon online to make that dvd $9.99 if anybody is interested in that one. I think my nieces already have that one so I wasn't interested. And my boys won't care. They can watch it when they visit their cousins.

I was able to get 8 chairs. Delano Collection. Anna Chairs for $17.48 each. They were marked down from $69.99. They are antique black. DPCI 249-13-0095. They were on the floor. But there were tickets that they are stored in the back room. They said once they hit clearance they put them all out on the floor. They were in plain brown boxes. No picture or anything on them. So I don't think anybody knew what they were which is why they still had them and why you may be able to find some but because I need to know what is inside, I had to open a box. The collection also had a writing desk, a book shelf and a pretty neat printer stand. I have an older style table that if you saw a picture you'd say....Hey I've seen that table EVERYWHERE. I think they may still go down a little since they have the new DSi. If more people buy those the DS will come down. I don't like to get techy things too early. If you are just going to buy it and stick it in the closet and wait until Christmas, if something is wrong with it, you can't return it. You are kinda stuck. I think they will have more deals in November and December and I think with the economy they will do what they need to do to get people to shop. But this is MY opinion and wouldn't want to see you miss the color or price you want. But I would wait. HTH

My boys had the Leapster and the V-tech http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51cLaWl3qoL._AA400_.jpg. They also make a leapster that you can use portable but will also plug into the tv so you can have the benefits of both. They have both come down in price since I bought ours and include more extras. I think the Leapster games are a little older (agewise) than the vtech games. I bought my boys the keyboard for the vtech to try and get them to learn to type correctly. But they don't use it. So that isn't helping. They are too big for that now (7 and 9). They now have ds systems, gamecube, Playstation 2 and Wii and use those. The vtech has big controllers for little hands. It depends on your childs finger dexterity and how they can manipulate little buttons on the leapster. When my kids were little they really did use both and I didn't feel like they were a waste of money.

I agree! Free site to store would be awesome. I don't understand why they kept using amazon anyway. I understood why Toys R Us did it (way back when) because they didn't have their own website. But once you have your own website going, why go through using an outside company? I order from target but only when they have free shipping. Without free shipping it kills their deals because their shipping rates are ridiculous. Now I just wonder why it will take 2 more years??? oh....got it.... I guess you have to read. Since 2001, Target has outsourced nearly all of its online operations to Amazon. Do you have a Dollar Tree? They have LOTS of work books. They had student posters, stickers, flash cards, all kinds of teaching materials especially for Pre-k thru K.

Have you looked around the school? I have two in college and there is a used text book store a few blocks from campus. They were cheaper than at the school and my boys were able to get almost every book they needed there. We lucked out since the store was right off the freeway and we saw the sign. I wish I could figure out how to shop CVS. I hear you can get a bunch of stuff really cheap there. But I was REALLY turned off to that place because OUR CVS SUCKED!!!! But we just got a brand new CVS and a brand new Walgreens that opened a few weeks ago. I just can never get in there. This stuff came to the door. And there was a mistake on one of my orders. I did a live chat through their website and their customer service is AWESOME!!!! How do you find the .25 coupons? I dont' get the newspaper. I get my news online and nightly news so I don't get the Sunday coupons. Do you print coupons online or do you get yours from the newspaper? We went on a family vacation to a mountain resort area to take the kids fishing this summer. And there was NOTHING there in ways of shopping. You have to pay what the few stores they have charge. So I'm sure especially for areas like that it would be AMAZINGLY cheaper for them. I guess it all depends on where you live. In my area we have shopping everywhere. I'm willing to learn and do the cheapest way possible. But sometimes the cheapest easiest way for me is to have the box delivered to my door.
