Inexpensive Children's Earrings
tntsmomie replied to emschmitz's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
We found some really cute ones for my daughter at Kohl's on clearance (they came 3-5 pair on a card). But we've also gone to Claire's. They do sell some very cute, non-dangly ones, appropriate for young girls. (but I do have to say, my DD's favorite pair have tiny little pink butterflies that dangle just enough to be "fancy" but not enough to be too grown-up) -
L.L. Bean backpack - when to buy?
tntsmomie replied to kren's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I STILL have my LL Bean backpack from when I was in high school! 10+ years of use, and it's held up wonderfully! The reflective tape does have scratches and such, but I think that's normal. We have an outlet close to us -- not sure if you do -- but it might be another option. -
Checked ours - didn't have much for the sizes I needed. But I did score a Cars toddler bedding set for 50%. Gotta love that!!

Disney's The Aristocats...any deals
tntsmomie replied to Mommy2Four's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
We picked up a copy at Target last night, $19.99. I did call our Disney Store, simply b/c most of the Disney movies we buy, we buy from there. The only promotion they're running is if you buy Aristocats and the new (Snow?) Buddies movie, you save $6. -
disneyshopping.com lunch boxes for $3.99 & $4.99
tntsmomie replied to Crazy Mama's topic in Online Hot Deals
Thanks for the shipping code reminder! Searched the site and had some terrific finds! Their shipping is $$, so the $5 flat for your entire order is wonderful! -
I actually just had this happen -- and the items were FREE! I was giving them away (a bike and a large piece of exercise equipment) and I stated in the ad "I WILL NOT HOLD" b/c I KNEW that a million people would respond. (okay, maybe not a million) :) One lady responded, said she wanted both, would be here in an hour. I waited, and waited...she never showed up. So that night, I went through my list calling numbers that people provided and said "phooey" on the first lady. I had both gone by 9am the next morning. I agree with LonghornMomma...the first to put the money in my hand (or actually show up to pick it up) gets it. CL is too full of no-shows.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008
tntsmomie replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Just got back from a trip to the Newport News, VA Target.... Saw lots of stuff but didn't have paper to write it down on! They have a few tents left, and some of the Cars toss tent game thing (I can't for the life of me remember the actual name for it!). About 6-8 tubes of the Ponyville ponies for $1.XX (that I spent $4.xx on a few weeks ago b/c there was only one left). I hate it when they pull stuff out of the back and surprise you a few weeks later! The only clearance stuff I grabbed today: Kids shampoo for $1.22 Kids barrettes for $1.38 They did have bulk softsoap and shampoos on clearance, too. We did walk by the baby section. There's ONE Peg-Perego stroller on their clearance end-cap. Along with a mobile and I think a pack-n-play. I know there were a few more things, but can't remember what they were. I REALLY need to stick a notebook in my purse to write this stuff down! :) I went in for a $5 purchase and left with $117 worth of stuff! -
http://www.kroger.com There's a link towards the bottom. It's called eSaver. Also, if you go up to the top in the headings, there's one called "In Stores". Move your mouse over it, and a drop-down menu will appear. Click on Coupons, and it will bring you to a site where you can print coupons. Lots of savings! I LOVE Kroger's website!
-
They are WONDERFUL! I grabbed two for my kids, and the quality on those is FAR better than two they received as gifts (that I'm sure cost more than the $7.99 I paid!!). And they're bigger. I haven't seen any since Christmas at our Kohl's, but I'll have to look b/c they are great towels!
-
Oh Wow!!! See...this is why I LOVE Kroger. Remember to load up your Plus Card with their eSaver coupons, too. Sometimes you get lucky and have a coupon on your card, plus a manf. coupon and it makes it even cheaper! That was a great shopping trip!!

I thought I saw one at the NN Target. But I'd give them a call before you head out. That was yesterday afternoon. The things in that area are at 50% off. I KNOW they had a ball pit (the one that's pictured on this thread). And a ton of tents. Good Luck! -

Lucked out today...found the LPS Jumping Frog set (the one that attaches to the talent show) for $2.xx. It was hiding. :) Play tents and such are 50% off at our store. They also had some neat looking Cars themed games for $9.xx. Darts and basketball, bean bag toss, etc... -

WISH I'd seen this yesterday morning!! We've been wanting one for DD's birthday...but I just can't spend that much on a horse...but at $62, we would've zoomed up there for her! I just called CS and they said "the pony is gone." Bummer! Could you let me know if you see another one?? We're on the look-out in NN, too....maybe another one will find it's way back to the store. :) -
Found 2-pack gloves/mittens for $2.80 today for DD. Grabbed a few packs so she'll be able to use them next year (and probably for several years to come!).

Super happy with my stop at Target tonight!! Snow boots for DS $3.74 Mittens for a school project $.74 The boots I've been watching for DD for over a month $4.98 (they were sitting at $13.98 for over a month) Also, for those in VA, I overheard a clerk telling a family that they would be marking down carseats/play yards/strollers/etc down even more very soon. So worth keeping your eye out if you need one of those. -

My husband actually still has some of the clothing he had when we got married! And we've been together for over 6 years! He HATES shopping for clothes, but whenever he does need something and I pick it out, it doesn't get worn very often. He hates spending money on clothes for himself....oh well. More $ for me to buy clothes for me! That poor guy! I bought a nice leather coat from Target about 7-8 years ago and LOVED it. It was my favorite jacket!! My question, though...this lady was too snobby about buying a leather jacket at Target, but she was IN TARGET. Hmmmmm..... -
Our local military commissary has just started selling these and I LOVE them. Picked one up the other day. What's nice about that one, aside from the 70 cent price tag, is the fact that it's as large as a paper grocery sack. It folds flat and has a plastic board that you push down to the bottom. And it has handles. I LOVE it, and will definitely be buying more and using them on our trips. These are pretty sturdy, too. So you military folks may want to check it out. They're green. PLUS, it makes my kids love bringing the groceries in from the car even more!!

Found a cute sweater today, orig price $48.00, snagged it for $9. Also, their games are 50% off. Grabbed Candyland for $3.50! Wish I'd had more time to look at the kids' clearance racks...they were chock full of stuff. But DS2 had other ideas. :)

Yep. They sure will refund the difference. I think it's 30 days? Correct me if I'm wrong, please. :) I did this with an item a few months ago, no problem. And $7 is $7! :) Actually, I went in over the weekend for a correction of $1.50! -

You know, we have 2 Wal-Mart's within 5 miles of our house and a Target directly across the street. I will NEVER shop at Wal-Mart again. Actually...my mom said to check Wal-Mart for something we were looking for, and I quickly said, "I'll go to Target." :) If Target doesn't have what I need, I'll drive some place else, but NOT Wal-Mart. :)
