Have you checked Target for back to school clearance?

school supplies 30% off here too- they had TONS of aisles worth of stuff left. I did find a white dry erase board that I needed anyway so I picked it up. Otherwise I will wait til stuff gets cheaper- all we really need is paper, comp books, stuff like that and they had cases of it, so think I will hold out til 75%

thanks for the great info guys- glad to see the price dropping some! I think the one at his dads got the RROD and they have not sent it in because he dad doesnt feel like dealing with it- I told him to bring that one home then and we will send it in!!! Dont see that happening, but worth a try

My son's #1 xmas item is the XBox 360 (he is 14, likes games like Halo, Oblivion). He has had one at his dads for a long time, but I have never played/used one, not familiar with it much at all, so I have a couple of questions: 1. I know there are three different levels you can buy, Arcade, Pro and Elite. Pretty sure these mostly have to do with memory, but are there any other differences? 2. Can I get the lower end one and get more memory for it? 3. Is it worth it to buy the Elite? 4. Are there good deals for Xbox around BF (that I could get without standing in line for three days), or am I better off to get something whenever I think the deal is good? 5. Refurbished or new? (son would not care) 6. Is a deal like on Geeks.com today a good one (149 plus free shipping and a couple lower end arcade type games, Arcade version), or should I hold out for a better deal?

Our store only had the dance games which my son is not into, but they did have some other games that were way marked down for PS3 and xbox360, I got one game, cant remember the name right now- was marked 59.99 down to 19.99. They had Call of Duty for PS3 for only 9.99 I looked and the Xbox game I got is Enemy Territory- Quake Wars, hopefully that is one he will like- he likes stuff like Halo, Oblivion, etc =)

our kmart stinks big-time too, but might have to go see what they have since my son wants all Xbox 360 stuff for xmas

We got ours on BF last year at Circuit City- I want to say it was $179, but I am not positive? The salesman there always hooked us up too, and when we got it he gave us the special "sample" Blu-Ray pack with three movies to go with it, so that was really nice

Do you have Gordmans where you live? Ours still had some today, all the separate pieces were 50% off (I think)

Xbox 360 & accessories. My 14yo son wanted that for his b-day (next Monday), but he bugged me so much and acted like a brat about it, so we didnt get it for him to teach him a lesson. (He always gets the stuff on his list and he has been grounded all summer, so we didnt think he deserved it). =) Might sell the Wii and all the crap we have with it to pay for it since it doesnt really get played (glad we hit soooo many stores to find one!!!)

I so have to go look for that- my son's b-day is in less than two weeks and I have gotten nothing yet! He will be 14, but he loves Star Wars and found that in a magazine and said he wants it! Crossing my fingers!

My son's birthday (14th) is coming up and he would like some art supplies, but the nicer ones are quite expensive. I am looking for Prismacolor and similar, colored pencils, pastels, charcoals, things like that. Also looking for a nice art desk or drafting table. Any suggestions?

I just wanted to share the great customer service I got today from shoppinglouisiana.com We are frying turkeys for 4th of July and my MIL will be here (never been here in ten years with hubby! And we love her, she is super awesome!), so I want things to really be nice. Well, I cant find the injectable turkey marinade anywhere! The store we usually get it from (Sportsmans warehouse) claimed bankruptcy a few months ago so they dont have much stuff in the store (they have duck marinade only right now). So I found a place online with a reasonable price and reasonable shipping cost (about $9.50 total, about $6.00 in the store per jar, so not bad). I ordered this on Monday and it already came today standard fedex delivery! Unfortunately, the lid on the jar was popped up when it came (jar not sealed). Could be because of altitude, but it has been hot so I didnt want to risk it. I called them right away and they said they will send another one right out. I even already got the email with a shipping tracking number! No fuss, didnt act like I was trying to pull a fast one, just really nice customer service! I thought in this day and age this was pretty impressive customer service and wanted to share! =)

I went and used the coupon I got in the mail today, got a 33 lb cement umbrella holder for $16 with tax after coupon! Yay! (orig $70)

The online sale said it ended 5/25, not sure about in stores- I cant find the little thing they sent in the mail that told the dates? It might be worth checking in the store though- I heard the employee say they were on clearance like that because they were discontinuing those kinds so they might keep them on clearance until gone.

Best day at Target for me in a while. Tons of cleaning supplies at 75% off, brooms, mops, buckets, scrubbing tools, paper plates, paper towels, TP, ziplocs, etc. I totally stocked up. Now my grounded son will have plenty to do!!!

Beyond their customer service, here is what bothers me about Walmart: The Walmart nearest me is so yucky. I mean, ghetto yucky. I hate going there. It just makes me have a bad feeling. There are a few in our town, and most here in the "city" are not that great. Then I have to make a quick trip into the "new" Walmart they built in a small mountain community 15 miles or so from here. It is sooooo nice. The outside is pretty, the inside is pretty, and they have all kinds of cool stuff like motion sensor lights in the coolers to save energy. So why cant they upgrade the Walmarts that people have shopped at faithfully for years? I hate mine, and do everything I possibly can to not shop there, including shopping at Target where things are probably a bit more expensive.

went today too because I had the free panty & $10 off coupon. The store was a mess- people were getting all crazy and pushy for the panties! Anyway, I just got my free pair and I got a really cute Pink nightie that was on clearance for 12.99, so I only paid about $3 with tax for both!

This is still working so I passed on the code to my mom and ordered more drawing supplies

well, I ended up braving my local Wally-World, along with Toys R Us and Target, and Walmart was the only place that had one, and they only had 1, so I bought it! It was expensive though, $70, but it has the little part that does the chlorine tablet dispenser built in so that is cool. I did get a clearance pool vacuum thing and a skimmer too while I was there, they had a lot of clearance stuff like that if anyone is looking =)

Do you consider Dell to be an option? They are having an outlet sale, extra 15% off and I think I have seen tons of these in the outlet? Not 100% sure though, I usually shop for regular size.... I think the 15% thing is limited to the first 2000 who use it.
