  1. I am a big Amazon fan, but thought this sale was not so good...
  2. so are we thinking new years day for 90%? I feel like last year that is when it went?
  3. Went to Sears last night to check out mattresses and they actually gave us the BF price/deal while we were there- pretty happy, queen set for about $750, plus $100 in points back.
  4. Some of the items I was looking at seem to be a higher price than what the "preview price" said yesterday. =(
  5. Sears (and kmart) points program seem to actually be worthwhile- I purchased a new laptop last week from Sears and got almost $50 in points back- used those in store to get my husband tools and shirt for my son, paid only $4 at checkout. It looks like a few items in their ad come with bonus points for Black Friday =)
  6. Love 6pm, hoping to score shoes/clothes for my 19yo son!
  7. Havent been too excited by the early deals yet... but maybe things will look up soon!
  8. Added some items to my cart today- love that Kohls has their sales online early!
  9. Minus Halloween clearance, this is the saddest time of year at Target for me, I never seem to find anything exciting on clearance until after Christmas =(
  10. Just curious- do they really get that much business on weeknights staying open until midnight? I mean, I go to bed pretty early because I get up very early morning, but midnight on a weeknight would be sooo late for me!
  11. I cant remember how long! I can tell you after I post this... probably however many years I have belonged to Gottadeal
  12. I am against the Thursday openings. I am also against all of the Christmas displays they set up a month ago. This week you couldn't even find Halloween items at most stores, it is kind of sad. I do realize these are stores and they are here to make money, but I do not think putting the almighty dollar first instead of taking one day to celebrate family is okay. No matter what your religious preferences are, we need to get back to the real reasons for buying gifts for our loved ones, not just to see who can get the biggest haul.
  13. Marking summer seasonal at our store also- some solar rock lights (I think?) were 50% off, and patio umbrellas marked down too but i cant remember how much. Looks like they were getting ready for back to school in our store also, hoping for some good summer clearance!
  14. One of the best 90% days for me too- got a tree for the office (the one there was so, so bad and falling apart), four sets of LED lights, some big tinsel trees, a TON of dog toys (my dog is in heaven with all of his new toys- like a second xmas and still a bunch put up!), lots of gift bags, oh, and a few felt "baskets" in a really pretty blue color that I am going to use instead of the fabric baskets for the cube style storage shelves (i am making a new craft desk/counter with those for the base)- really excited, got all 6 for a little more than half of what one fabric bin costs!!! Oh, also got a really nice Wilton hand mixer for my mom's bday basket, an ice bucket, and a pretty tray with a deer on it (going to use that in the camper this summer). Tons of paper plates and napkins as well, they were kind of a purple color, so not too holiday-ish. I think I spent about $60 between three different stores- filled the back of the SUV! (It has been snowing pretty good all day, that probably helped me a lot!)
  15. Still 70/50 at my store today around lunchtime, but they were starting to re-arrange the xmas area, tearing down some displays and such, hoping for 90% maybe tomorrow?
  16. Tons and tons of stuff at another store I visited today also- lights, decorations, paper, an entire aisle of gift bags. Still 70/50. Definitely holding out for 90% with this much left. I did notice that they salvaged the dollar spot today though, i dont think it went past 70%
  17. My Target felt weird today too (around lunchtime). It was almost like people were getting their kids toys with gift cards, and lots of normal household/personal care goods. Some wrapping paper going, and candy, but there was a lot left.
  18. Got this too- my order took forever to get here, I assumed it was Fedex/UPS honestly (cuz of the storms). I came here to check and see if anyone else had received it to see if it was legit!
  19. I loved the post above with apples and oranges- we always had one of those in the "toe" part of the stocking! My grandma is infamous for ribbon candy in the stocking, but loose, so it gets all the little fuzzies stuck to it! Anyway, I try to fill the stockings with all the little things you use during the year like toiletries for my 18 year old, duct tape, (I loved the gas card suggestion above- I was thinking of a few small food gift cards), hubby is getting some things like sandpaper, WD-40, football cards. Oh, the pets get stockings with treats and toys- I have caught bunnies sneaking in to get treats more than once (and they love candy canes- steal them from the tree and munch them!)
  20. I kind of got up late this morning, got to stores late, any of the "leftovers" were not things I wanted... since I refused to shop at stores Thanksgiving night I kind of expected that. Oh, I did find the sheets I wanted at Steinmart.... they were the busiest of the stores I went to- more than Target, Home Depot or Costco! I think it was because of the scratch off thing in the ad
  21. Outside stuff up today (beat the neighbors- yay!), tried to get to inside stuff too, but too tired, super hungry, too many margaritas... =)
  22. Ok, I checked the list and my two needed video games dont seem to be there =( Hoping for Diablo III and Deadpool
