I bought a “cheap” ( none are) one on ebay a few years back. It works fine but we only use it intermittently. I think they are basically similar- fill bottom tank with water, little metal freezing prongs dip into water that goes up into the top and when the cup shaped cubes are frozen they dump into a tray. The tray and machine is not a refrigerator, so you have to dump the cubes into your freezer when its full. We even take it in the camper sometimes. Pretty convenient and quiet. Every one I have seen is similar. I think you can get a usable machine for under $100.

I am thinking we will do Lasagna this year. With home made rolls and fresh farm pumpkin I processed last week for pie. (We always make crustless pie ( pumpkin custard)in a baking dish.) Have a medical thing on Wednesday before so want it all done before. Just low key and something tasty for the dog

My wifi-only watch works anywhere in the house when my phone rings in the other room. The cellular only works with the 3 major carriers. And it is $10./ month, last I knew. I will not pay $85/month for a cell plan. My ST is about $37 with tax. end rant

Actually, my favorite score goes back many years to a long ago Walmart where I splurged on a West Bend bread machine. I thought if I was going to spend $50 on an appliance, I had better make it worthwhile. So I did. I used that bread machine until it wore out. Bought another one at Goodwill, used that one till it wore out. And I am continuing the tradition. We love homemade bread. People we share with seem to appreciate homemade bread too. (Easy gift, and no dusting required!)

I got a series 3 a while after it came out because it is waterproof to wear in the pool (and I do, but it isnt for soapy dishwater) I gave my series 1 to DH who can bang it around at work. After series 3, I believe the watches got slightly bigger, which may or may not be an issue for you. ( I lack gorilla wrists, so am not replacing mine anytime soon. ) I am a big fan of the Apple refurb and clearance store (scroll all the way down to the bottom of the Apple store page) But the 3 is still for sale brand new. I dont know how the SE compares with the others. Fyi, ymmv. Happy shopping. PS bought a lot of nice knock off watch bands on eBay. ps Also was unsure about buying a large, pricey watch but I love it, wear it every day and it encourages me to move more (a setting choice).

I bought tech-phobic DH an unlocked iPhone SE last year and he loves it! It is unlocked and works on his TF account. Not the cheapest phone out there but he finds it easy to use. (Also a phone that works in his metal employment building!) Ymmv:)

A TV remote that doesn’t require a computer engineering degree for an LG tv that has the Worst Remote Ever Made. Dont need much, luckily. And small family to buy for.

I have a zillion t-shirts that I cycle thru( til they get threadbare and live in the paint-shirt drawer). (Just wore my 2015 shirt this week) so.......I would welcome a hoodie! Large, if they dont run too small. (voted)
