  1. I went to my local Target and the entire store appeared to be picked clean, back on the 24th. They still have a ton of empty spaces in women's clothes, toys and electronics, as well as, Seasonal. Like I said....that was my local store that just opened less than a mile from me, less than two months ago. Maybe they're not re-stocking til after the first?
  2. Hate walgreens.....they're always flip-flopping stuff like that.
  3. I'm the annoying mole on Brad's body that's sometimes mistaken as a 3rd nipple. He can't get rid of me.
  4. Much Obliged! I know I'm not the only one with a rant! Post the Holiday Rant here people!! Let's have them!! Sticky this!! and we'll toast them all!!
  5. We went right after BF shopping! had a great time! Hope you do as well!
  6. Don't ya just love Christmas. The kids wake-up you at 4am, out of a 2 hr sleep and want you to see what Santa brought them............more importantly.....they want you to put it together! (Cue dramatic music) Now I consider myself a pretty able guy when it come to assembling things. So when it was time to start the assembly of my daughters "Little Tykes" Wood Kitchen, I thought it would take me 2hrs max. Little did I know, the science project, that I started at breakfast, wouldn't be finished until dinner. That's right folks, 8hr's later I finished my season in hell, that had all of the drama tossed in for good measure: My DD crying that her kitchen isn't fixed yet, and she even helped my on two occasions, by carrying over the screw bin, that had the 25 different screws separated neatly and then proceeded to dump them on the floor. A DW who kept asking every 30 minutes about my progress. A FIL who took the pieces I had separated by letter and sub-division and proceeded to lump them together into piles, he "Thought" they belonged to. A step-dad who corrected my FIL on a constant basis, filled in for me, when I had to chase my dog around the neighborhood for twenty minutes, and finished the base of the playset, only to have me knock the friggin' thing down because he "Forgot" to screw the #$%! thing together, which caused me to break it down and start completely over. And that my DD took the handle to the microwave and walked around with it, using it as her "Phone" for a good part of the day and lost it in the abyss of wrapping paper, assorted trash and play-pig-pen that used to be my living room. (breathe) So.........that was the last thing I assembled for the day. I put my tools down after looking for another hour for that part and gave up on it! That's it! I'm done! Rant's Over! Now where's my next project! OOOoooooo! Goodie!! A Glitter and Dream Dollhouse with over 700 pieces!! Keep the beers cold!
  7. And DONE!!! After careful review and tallying, we have a winner by a mere 4 votes!! 8. "C" Batteries for ds' "Cars" track. (they weren't listed on the box, so technically..I didn't really forget them)
  9. Warning.... This is kinda long. Two days ago.....my DS was acting up, like most four year olds do this time of year, but this was over the top. I told him that if he kept it up, that Santa was bringing him coal for his stocking this year. He laughed me off and kept his crap up, by 9:30. I had enough and texted my wife to play along with me. I called DW @ work and played it like I was talking with Santa. (I knew he was watching from the step) I told him about my DS and asked if he could do something to change his behavior and said good-bye. I put my DS to bed, for close to the 50th time of the night, and he asked who I was on the phone with and I told him Santa. He asked me if tonight was Christmas Eve and I told him no, tonight's the night Santa makes his rounds and warns little kids that he's actually watching them. He tried to laugh, but I kept a straight look on my face the whole time and he believed me. (you should see me bluff @ poker) Anyway...he finally went to bed and I went downstairs and got a lump of coal I got as a gag gift last year and plopped in inside his stocking. He wasn't happy when he woke up and found it there, but he's been listening since.
  10. Just like the topic asks.....what was the hardest present for you to find this season?
  11. I'd make a joke of it since it was only ten bucks. I'd probably be like, "Hey! I went to WalMart and used the gift card! And the reciept came back with Ha! Ha! Ha! You Must be Kidding! Pay up Deadbeat!" Or something of that nature.

  13. HMMMmmmmm. I usually work 23rd-24th overnight. Get home and sleep a bit. Get up and watch a christmas movie with the kids, order pizza for dinner. We usually get the kids tubbed and jammied right after. Then we sit the kids around the tree and I read Night Before Christmas to them. They exchange their presents for eachother, play for a bit. The oldest two put out milk cookies and reindeer feed on the outside grass and then it's bedtime.
