I'd say there's more of an emphasis on On-Line shopping. Thanks to the net, ppl can forget about camping out and just get their needs with the click of a mouse. Come to think of it, I really didn't hear of Cyber Monday, til I came onto this site about four years ago.

Costco, BJ's and Sams! Sometimes CVS has great deals too! I usually wait til the week before the big day before I buy the batt's. That way they last just a bit longer.

Don't know about the trees, but my stand goes around a full 360* around. It plugs into the center of the stand and the center turns and spins the tree. I LOL'd at this one!!!

I really don't know what happened to people, that they're just so rediculously bankrupt when it comes to common courtesy!! I mean, just last week, my oldest son saw a man at the store, who dropped stuff out of his bag and before I could say anything he went over and helped the man pick up two bags of groceries off the floor. My son smiled at him and the the guy said 'Thanks Kid!" in a not so nice tone, (I'm hoping it's because he felt like a jackass for overloading his bags like he did.) and my son replied, again with a smile, The Name's Jesse! And he held out his hand for him to shake. The guy looked at him, said, "Whatever, Kid!" and walked out of the store!!! It really didn't phase him, because of his aspergers, but it ticked me off to the point that I wanted to put a fist in his face!

Can't go wrong with Mario games on a Nintendo system. Mariocart and Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics are two on my sons list this year, along with Bakugan, Cars and Toy Story Mania.

I would say put the plane tix in their stockings with the hotel confirmation info and make them go in their last, or you could do what my in-laws did with their kids and not tell them about the trip til it was time to leave for the airport at 5am!

Where's the next round?

5 Below has a great assortment of toys.

It also depends on what type of water you're fishing in as well. The kiddie rods really arent to sturdy for deep water, river, or high current fishing. The rocket rod isn't good for high currents either. Lakes or ponds, it's perfect and my kids have a great time with them. The Ugly Stick is a great system, but not for a 3 yr old.

My DD has turned the corner from her toys and wants to explore her craftiy side as well. This year, she's getting a scrapbooking kit, (she didn't ask for it, but loves using my DW's scrapbooking stuff, so we figured it would be a plus.) She wanted a jewelry maker and the Harikuma clothes you design for the dolls.

We have a few TRU GC's put away, maybe $200.00, but couldn't do too much because I was out of work eariler in the year and we could barely swing bills with me out of work. We usually put $25 in TRU GC's and $10 in target GC's away each week starting the first of Feb. It usually builds up to a nice amt on BF.

Thumbs down on the Wikkistix!!! My kids had a ball with them, but they didn't last long. Wax fell off the strings and got onto the rug and we had a hard time leaning them up. I also heard that they're a huge PITA if they get in the dryer and set in on your laundry!
