So sorry to hear about your mother. Congrats on your winning however!! I think that you should spend the money on yourself! Get a nice Laptop, iPod, digital camera, anything! Heck, a thousand bucks doesn't go far this year, but if you look closely, you can find KILLER deals! Good luck!

Thanks for bringing that up! I usually give money, but I have been going to Gift Cards more and more over the last few years. Looks like I may go back to cold hard cash. lol.

Take my advice... Don't choose something based on features. It will come back to bite you later. Choose something that works for you as far as features. Those Aiptek ones and the small hand helds from companies you have never heard of are generaly the ones you want to steer clear of. EXCEPT... the Flip Camera!! I have one that I carry in my SUV and it is just about as good as my Professional Cameras I use as part of my Biz.

I think they just don't send it out to anyone. Maybe only let certain people look at it. I live about 20 miles from Fort Knox. lol... there's nothing in it now BTW.

Not sure about the best, but I can tell you to look for a Sony. I have 2 Sony Blu-Ray players and thy are absolutely awesome. I love them. I'd stick to a good name company, like Sony, and choose one based on features.. NOT price. If you choose one just based on price, you will likely be replacing it within about a year. Trust me... my cousin found that out the hard way. He was not happy.

Ours always come out on Thanksgiving. I've also seemed to get a few on Wednesday as well.. but those are more local stores, not national chains.

I think you have to be right there and ready to enter a credit card number at 12:00:01. On that day only, I keep my Credit Card in a copy/paste format. Makes it easier and quicker.

For Music... iTunes!!  For videos, (DVD's / Blu-Ray) I use Amazon a LOT ... or iTunes!! 

Amazon is where I get a LOT of my Blu-Ray DVD's. If they aren't available, then I usually check out BestBuy.

Yes... BestBuy did have a *small* Thanksgiving Sale online last year. I bought some things during it while waiting for the rest of the family to arrive at my house. Multi-Tasking at its best my friends! -)

I learned my lesson buying an off brand TV... NO MORE of that for me!! I'm sticking with good name brands for a while or until someone can prove to me my 3 year old TV that went out (bought on BF) was just a dud. Other than that, NO MORE off brands, only name brands for a few years.

Thats normal... they generally stockpile the items a bit. If you go online at CircuitCity.com and search the inventory of the item you want and it shows up as in stock, then you could, presumably order it and pick it up in store even if its not out for display.

The Ace ad was put on the site, then asked to be taken back down. While it was down, it could have had a change or something edited on it. I'd expect that to happen.

Few stores do. The Apple Store gave away t-shirts last year, then iTunes Gift Cards at random times throughout the day.
