  1. I didn't get mine through an email, mine was there when I signed in. Mine is for 20% off up too $100.00 and yes you have to pay with Paypal.
  2. I never knew that! I assume it is that way with most everything. I haven't ever sent anything in to be fixed under warranty, but I just assumed I got back what I sent... Very interesting, Thanks fairydustcrissy.
  3. If you really wanted a cheap one, a good place is Goodwill or most thrift stores, if money really is an issue. You will wash it before you use it so used shouldn't matter in that case. I happen to have 4 crock pots, the majority came from yard sales. I have a really nice oval one. I also had received one as a gift (actually I think it was given to my husband).
  4. I got a free down comforter with the purchase of our overpriced mattress last year. I finally took it out of the box this year after I found a duvet for it. HOLY CRAP that thing is warm! I use that and just a sheet. I ended up removing the blanket I had under it not knowing how warm it was going to keep me. One thing I purchased soon after I moved here from Florida is a heated mattress pad, I LOVE IT. I have recommended them to many people and they all love them too. Turn it on 30 minutes before you hop in bed, oh my! They typically go on clearance at the end of the season and that is a good time to pick them up...The heated mattress pads can be expensive depending on what you pick too. I think I got mine at Kohls and it was less than $50 for a queen size (not clearance, sale), but I have seen them for less than $20 (twin) at Target on clearance. They also make good xmas gifts to receive (or give I guess).
  5. Ok, I thought maybe I was the only one that didn't know what they were.... I see it is just a puffy jacket. Thanks for clearing that up.
  6. OMG YES YES YES!!!!!!! I have 2 soft serve ice cream makers sitting here! I have no one to give the second one too. My house if full of crap that the price was too good not to buy even though I didn't need or want it. There has to be help for people like us. Some sort of 12 step program for people that just can't pass up a deal that is too good, whether or not you need the it. I just don't know if I could make it to the program it might interefer with my shopping!
  7. I have had my hardwoods (yes buuukuuu bucks we invested AND did it ourselves!) and mine has not scratched my floors. I have 2 sets of stairs, and the stair attatchement is nice that came with my purple one. It is a smaller head that you attatch to the wand to use on stairs and mattresses. It is not light but I don't have any real problems taking it up and down my stairs. If it wasn't so expensive I would buy a second one to keep on my second floor..... BUT it seems like the purple one compared to the yellow had a hepa filter or some special filter that the yellow one didn't have. I don't know it was several years ago. Plastic will not scratch the floor as easily at metal (not that I know what the oreck is made of).....Mine has never scratched my floor, that I have seen. And I have found scratches on my floors from other things.
  8. LNT has a 20% off coupon in the sunday paper, if you send me your address I will mail you mine, I only have about 10 of them and I probably won't use them. I also have a Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off ones too if you would rather us it there if you planned on buying it from either of those 2...I also read the fine print Dyson is not listed in the "not good on" section, where the Oreck is on the Bed Bath and Beyond but not LNT. I had purchased mine at Target when I had a 10% off coupon thing.I think I got mine for $450 at the time...I think that included the 10% off.
  9. I had central Vac before I moved and decided on the Dyson (no central vac in new house:( ) I have the Dyson animal (purple one) that I got 3.5 years ago. I LOVE IT! Do they still have the little phamplet with it telling about how the inventor originally took it to Hoover and they declined and they are kicking themselves now! Anyway I haven't had any real problems. One time I had something silly wrong with it and I called the 800 number. I kid you not, this is what the lady had me do....She had me turn the vacuum on and then hold the phone to it...she listened and told me I would need a certain special tool....A QUARTER! With this quarter I removed something and then I can't rmember but it fixed I think it was a belt that moves the beater bar. I got a real human when I called the first time too. I don't even remember having to go through a phone tree either. The only other problems I have had was purely my own fault. I didn't realize I needed to remove the filter until I read the book and I hadn't done it in 2 years.....ALSO on mine in the center part of the cansister that you can take out I wasn't making sure to clean it out and the dust got all clogged in there (after 2.5 yrs) and I had to fish out all this dust stuff and it took me about 30 minutes using a long long screwdriver to dig this dust out, outside of course. Again, it probalby could have been avoided had I read the directions. ALSO I do have hardwood floors in my entire downstairs....I roll over my floors with my vac no problem. I have area rugs on some of them too. I also have 4 cats and 3 kids.....You want to make sure you get the Animal (which was purple), one of the more expensive ones, not the yellow one, I don't know about the pink one. The Animal is supposed to be better with dander if I recall correctly, plus it has more attatchments (Animal for Animals like cats and dogs). At the time I got mine the purple one was the best one they had. I don't know now. I know I Have seen a turquiose one also.
  10. I have the purple Dyson-The ANIMAL, and I LOVE IT! Mine is 3.5 yrs old.
  11. Yard sales but I guess unless you live in the south, there may not be many this time of year.
  12. One thing I don't like about the character sheets is they are only a 180 thread count. What I did was, get a better white flat sheet and then got pokemon frabic (I think from Walmart at the time) and then sewed a strip along the top of the sheet where you would turn the sheet over and I made a pillow case from the same fabric. My kids were happy with that. Yes Pokemon sheets do bring good money on Ebay and if you know where to look they aren't that expensive. BUT I haven't see full size Pokemon sheets lately, only twin, which still pay me double on ebay.
  13. Last year Concord Mills Mall gave out $50.00 gift cards to the first 200 people (I think it was 200)...Like they needed to give people an incentive to shop at that mall EVERRRRRR....
  14. Chocolate doesn't do well in extreme tematures, that is why they say not to refrigerate. Also something else, if you do freeze them be careful when you take them out they can get condensation (moist) and that wouldn't be very pretty, but most kids don't care how they look.
  15. Target in Charlotte NC was still at 50% off for Halloween. I did get a cordless phone with caller ID plus a bunch other stuff on it including a big clock for $10.04. My phone in my bedroom doesn't have caller ID and doesn't work right we found out 2 days ago at 3AM when some JERK was calling and wouldn't hang up until the phone was answered. My husband was a lot nicer to him than I would have been. I also used 3 Polly Pocket coupons the stickers on the items in one transaction at ELECTRONICS. Cashier was a young guy, not paid to care, complainig about back pain from squating too much and seeing a dr that gave him meds that make him light headed (and no, I didn't need to know that either).
  16. They let me use 2 in one transaction. Though the day before the cashiers let me use 3...Today I used one of the computer ones and one of the ones stuck on the item. So it isn't like I am using 2 of the exact same coupons. I try not to abuse it. The most I have used at once of the PP coupons is 3 in one transation. Part of it is picking the right cashier too.
  17. I went to 2 targets today with intent of going to more. I was getting disappointed so I didn't bother going to the other 3 I had planned on. I managed to get ONE package of Napkins at one store and 4 minute maid juice 10pks. They must order them after I buy them because I have gotten them every week at the same store for 3 weeks now. The next Target I went to is usually a VERY busy store. Well, they had so many costumes they actually had halloween still on 3 aisles. Tons of candy and quite a bit of napkins, but still no ziploc bags which is what I really wanted. Oh well. I got a total of 3 polly pockets today and finally completed the set of 9 pollys that were on sale this week. Whoopie and of course I used the $5 coupon on each one.
  18. It was the food processor. It was a display model that was on the shelf. There was a beligan waffle maker, some sort of crock pot/steamer thing (I didn't pick it up not sure what it was other than stainless steel and not needed), food processor, and smoothie mixer...they were all not in boxes with stickers stuck to them, so I assume they were displays.
  19. I didn't want to go to Target today but decided too. I found NO halloween ziploc or glad ware or napkins bounty or anything that I REALLY wanted. I ended up getting ONE press n seal. I saw chex mix and pop corn but didn't want that. I was rather annoyed they didn't have any of what I was looking for except the press n seal. It was all in one aisle in the back of the store with the xmas stuff.... Dollar spot was now 75% off too. I got a bunch more office pens and pencils and note pads for a quarter each. I did find another twisty treat that must have been returned there was no phamplet in it and it wasn't there on Monday. I saw a kitchen aid mixer that was only half off for $150sumpin. This store also had some other display stuff on sale for 75% off. I almost bought a kitchen aid food processor but I don't use the one I have, so I put it back.
  20. I really want the napkins and bags....I am not one to spend much on the decorations...though my neighbors are.
  21. The nice thing about this compared to the others sent out by kohls is ' 1. You don't have to use thier credit card for payment 2. You have 3 days to use it not just one Thanks so much !
  22. Oh, the office stuff I saw (and bought) was sticky notes, pens, pencils, note pads. I know when I bought the stuff full price about a month ago they also had mugs too.
