  1. I was kinda leary about this particular coupon. They would not accept it at one of the DG I went to today (I went to 4)...she wouldn't even scan it. This was a coupon that someone loaded onto the internet, it isn't actually from Dollar General. Has anyone had any luck with it so far?
  2. Coupons that are put onto wine bottles that can be removed (they are just slipped over the neck)...YOU DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE THE WINE TO USE THE COUPONS. I got another Beef one today...So that one is good for $1.00 off the purchase of Beef. I used my $1.00 off the purchase of a "Bagged Snack" Wise popcorn was on sale for $1.00 so it was FREE. It was perfect for munching in the car with the kids while I was going from store to store using up my coupons....
  3. At my Super Target they had most the toys to 75% off and if they weren't all 75% off then what wasn't was 50%....HOWEVER the Target I went to yesterday didn't have SQUAT for toys at ANY clearance price. They had those Deigo toys, some Spiderman stuff, Naruto, outdoors explorere stuff, Vtech, I Fly, hand held electronic games (like Sponge Bob yatazee) and a plug and play video all at 75% off, and they had 2 endcaps full. I got some spiderman bug vac thing ($3.24), SB Yatazee ($2.74), 2 Naruto thingys(@$4.98).... Also I noticed probably 80-90% of all the candle accessaries (holders, votives, sconces...) were 50% off, and about 20% of the candles were 30% off...Too many to move them to an endcap. Unless they did this all overnight, the other NON Super Target didn't have any of those mark downs yet. I too am a regular Target perimeter perusing person.
  4. I thought this would be a good way to learn something we may not have known...IT is kinda hard to go through umteenmillion pages of discussions. I will go first. 1. Wine Tags! I never noticed them before, but boy they are great now that I know. My husband found some today while he was at the grocery store local to his work. He snatched up ONLY what we could use, not all of them. 2. Extra Buck offers at CVS and the Store Rebates at Rite Aid and Walgreens. 3. I can use Target coupons with Manufacturer coupons, I guess it never dawned on me, I knew I could use other Store coupons and manufacturer coupons...DUH
  5. We have a Food Lion on one side of the street and a Harris Teeter on the other side....And I mean they are directly across the street from each other. The Food Lion is NOT nearly as nice and a different class of people shop there. Even the parking lot conditions are worlds apart. I honestly feel that Harris Teeter caters to the "city" folk where the Food Lion across the street cater to the "country" folk. They were both built within a year of each other too. When I was at a lawer debating on whether or not to take my case to court he told me- "If you want to know who will be on the Jury go stand at the entrance of Food Lion and count the first 8 people that walk in the door that is who will be on the jury. Notice I didn't say Harris Teeter, I specifically mean Food Lion." Harris Teeter is similar to Albertsons, for all you that aren't from the south east. They have some VERY good deals, but the price of the non sale items are OVERPRICED....You pay for the nicer store. They are trying to get you in with the sale prices and hope you buy more.
  6. Has anyone noticed if a specific store has cheaper prices in a primarily lower income area compared to a higher income area? Not just Walmart, but Target, and Grocery stores too...For instance a Walmart (or any chain store) in an middle to upper class area compared to Walmart (or same chain store) the next town over but in a low to middle class area?
  7. All you should have to do it call them and tell them you want a deal and they will tell you what the current deals are...You can even do that if you have been with them for a year or two. Complain you are paying too much and they will do that for a 3 month or 6 month period. BEWARE they LOVE to tell you it will be a certain price in my case it was $29.99 for the first 3 months then it went up $10.00 then within 2 years I was paying $54.99 a month for just internet. Oh I can go on with the reasons not to go with Charter Communications. One thing I will say is I didn't really have a problem with the internet, but there were so many other issues....MOSTLY the customer service. Do a google search on Charter communicaitons and see what comes up. I know around here most are not happy with them (Hickory/Morganton/Lincolnton NC). They also love to take MONTHS to burry the cable that runs from the box into your home. Don't worry it isn't thier fault, they use sub contractors. Good Luck
