Yes, the video is from Poughkeepsie. It looked just like any other Best Buy, so I didn't get where the Mall Property concept prevents early entry.

Hey! Is your husband ever getting a promotion??? My son is now a LCPL. JK, is he still serving?

Thread count was down, and Walmart gave us the perfect treat of a pointless threat letter to heat things up a little. I agree that the Ad will find it's way onto the internet very soon now. Game on!

I happened to be online when he posted this. I snagged the tablet and will let everyone know what I think of it. It arrives this Friday. That tablet was some hot potato! i saw it go in and out of stock but by 11:30 EST it was gone for good. I tried to get some of the wafflers at work to bite, but the brand and specs threw them off. I am interested for what it CAN do, not for what it can't do by specification.

I also sent my order to the printer. We are excited to be getting them in 3 colors. The women wanted pink, for cancer support of friends, and we have blue and yellow gold as well. The banner is also at the printer so things are really looking up. We will show you the GD logo upon delivery of the sign and shirts. Thank you!

Sometimes you just have to do it for the tradition of it. October is known among my friends and relatives as "Flip Month". The really, really frugal ones ask quietly, and we make deals on past BF purchases, because they know the original cost and expected depreciation. My family (the ones that do not shop) are taking advantage of flip deals from 2011. The $79 and $199 deals are going to grandma. She is a happy camper in a sense now that her old tube and projection clunkers are getting kicked to the curb.

Red flags go up on anyone selling a cheap tablet for a hefty price, claiming it is worth $299. Avoid. 7 inch tablets should be super cheap in a few weeks. Walmart just had a 10.1 inch which quickly sold out.

I have seen your video, the one with your family. Are there two different Best Buys in the area?

Years ago, I would join my wife at the smallest, but most organized Walmart you ever did see. They controlled the situation, but it was easier because it was one of the smallest still in existence. You could literally see the back and sides of the store when you went in. Everything was maximized for impact and product performance due to the limited space. I will always miss that small store, especially hunting season. They would lead you off with an offering of bagged deer corn in the entry way, then you would see all of the hunting supplies to the left, and finally, the welcome home lingerie replete with camo theme to round out the display.

Hey Pam! Do you remember the year you visited us at Best Buy in Jacksonville???

We have tried the list, but even after the store manager and mangement company agreed that they would honor the list, it was the very same managers who choked and refused the list to settle line disputes. Most of this was due to the fact that families let their own in all over the line and friends of those family members also got in line. Since they used the gate for crowd control, they didn't care about the list anymore. I have recently thought of a different way to control crowds. Since most of those families are honest until the appointed time, a color coded shirt will be given out in real time as they arrive. One distinct color for every 10 people. You must be present to get a shirt, and it will be a printed shirt from yours truly. I will have only 3 colors this year Blue, and yellow gold (the wildcard color pink for our ladies only), since i will be ordering 20. Eventually, i would like to grow sponsorship to get the entire 50 by 2014.

Let's also talk of opening time rumors for Best Buy!!! Very interesting things i am hearing. looks like you were right.....again!

Looking like Best Buy is going to buckle under pressure and open at 6 pm (rumors)

Were you in Spain the last few years? If so, now that you are back, what will be your items you desire the most that you have missed out on in years past?

I had a very productive weekend for cheap supplies. First, my wife found me a new propane heater for the large LP gas bottle. $40. Okay price. Then it got better. I scored 3 slightly used dome tents, complete with bags for $30, and finally, a personal coleman sportcat tent heater for the amazing price of $10. Needless to say, I am a very happy camper...pun intended.

Fixed the poll. Vote away! I want to fly either a Gottadeal flag or an OCCUBUY BEST BUY flag! Now to find a seamstress!

It sounds like an all too familiar strategy at Walmart. Seriously, people do push into carts while a relative steals your item or the next persons by distraction. Again, I see that members here are wise to check in all of the nooks and crannies that fickle people choose to ditch them in. Sometimes it is on purpose.

In the past, target has restocked in a rolling wave fashion. There has been times when i walked in and swore that the only thing missing from the sale was the featured TV!

Explanation of the rare event converging: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/21/business/media/carve-the-turkey-and-pass-the-latkes-as-holidays-converge.html?_r=1& Manischewitz is promoting it: https://thanksgivukah.com/ As some of you know, my family is from both cultures. I would love celebrating in this fashion.

The point you made was the best part of the sale. The same thing happened in Best Buy, but was mitigated by printing out the online ad. People already in line that did not have the print out had absolutely no clue what was added. There needs to be archived proof of these added items for historical purposes(Is there?). Without the secret sales, Best Buy's sale would have been a bust for 2006-2007.

Any Chance of Elite Classic Popcorn Popper on Black Friday?
jaymacfla replied to shoptillidrop2's topic in 2013
We have one in the game room made by Nostalgia Electrics. Believe it or not, Best Buy has similar models frequently on sale like this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Small-Appliances/Popcorn-Makers/abcat0912019.c?id=abcat0912019 Here is the one you seek for $56.99: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/tabletop-hot-oil-popcorn-maker/1838263.p;jsessionid=BD4C7DE0485907E3827A066A52097CB9.bbolsp-app04-149?id=1219065989419&skuId=1838263&st=categoryid$abcat0912019&cp=1&lp=9 -
From your little blurb on the rumored opening time for Best Buy only means that I will be saving a little LP gas for the earlier opening time. Win-Win.

You cannot go wrong with steam. Also, I invite you to look into the various providers that give you more bang for your buck than Gamestop could ever dream of, as if they would even care! Here are a few of the providers of digital games that are Steam compatible: Bundlestars.com Indiegala.com Indieroyale.com Humblebundle.com In addition to thse fine companies, Steam and Amazon compete twice a year for your digital game dollar. Instead of spending $50-$60 per game, you will spend on an average of $5-$8 per title. The bundle companies previosly mentioned can give you 5 or more games for $1-$5.

Don't count on deep discounts for PS4 games. Concentrate on the PS3 games that will be available.

You know, you really touched on something here. Whenever you go to Walmart and the mad dash for things are over, there are literally hundreds of items that people dump in the wierdest places throughout the store. I have been rewared by patiently looking down the aisles and finding doorbusters that others did not want after waiting in line. Look in the endcaps near the registers and another place has been the electronics section for some reason.
