  1. I have never went to Menards on BF before but I might have to do it this year! There's some great deals!! :angel1:
  2. I always have to let the kid decide as her prize for putting up with everything on BF. This year she has informed me it will be Red Lobster! I told her that if that was the case, we were going for dinner about 2 in the afternoon to get the good prices
  3. We watch them all Teenagers, hubby, me, grandkids, my mom, his parents...doesn't matter who walks into the house if one of those shows is on, we just pop up some corn and relax. It's great!!
  4. Okay, now I'm posting and it's disappearing! :eyepoppin Oops! Found it now. UGH!@!
  5. :eyepoppin Good Golly! I am soooo happy to be back here finally. I was having withdrawal!! :lolrun:
  6. One of my sons is really into the longhorns and I have gotten some things at JCPenney before. Maybe check their website??
  7. It's crazy at NFM. They have two entrances for their electronics division and each one has four cashiers and a customer service desk. All of them were ringing up sales. :-) Just too much for the poor little thing (she was only 15 at the time and impatient as all get out) :rotflol: :rotflol:
  8. Our local outlet mall. Most of the stores run their sales all day so it's no big deal to get there later.
  9. Yes. But this year I got an offer of OT from 3 pm - 8 pm and at that rate of pay, I might just have to forgo the afternoon/evening shopping to get the pay! :2roller:
  10. Not sure about this year, as I have not been to Walmart at all this week, but I know that every year so far (including last year) they have been closed.
  11. I know that Old Navy here had some decent sales last year, but they were all day sales. Not sure if they have the door busters or not. Sorry.
  12. Yeppers, just cut out the UPC. Works fine for me too!!
  13. I haven't seen any yet this year, but I do LOVE the budweiser horse/sled commercials every year. :hearthrob :hearthrob
  14. 1998. We were scheduled to go to my sister's wedding 800 miles away and she was supposed to get married the day after Christmas. Well, first I get a call from them on Friday, November 13, 1998 that I will never forget. All my sister said was "Daddy isn't coming home to walk me down the aisle" It took me 45 minutes to get her to explain as she was hysterical. My father had an accident in his semi and had died. Two days later I was sitting in a motel room down there. We spent eight grueling days, came home and had Thanksgiving/Christmas with hubby's family because my family was all going to be at this wedding anyway. We left for their home the Wednesday prior because we had booked ourselves into Padre Island for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. So we get to Padre and it's the first year in 30 years that it was literally 30 degrees on the beach on Christmas morning (I have pictures of the kids in their Nebraska winter coats with goobers coming out of their noses on the beach picking up shells *LL*).  So we get back up to her home that evening and find that she is hysterical again, it seems that they decided not to get married afterall (the day before it was supposed to happen). Okay. It seems that my sister was unable to walk down the aisle without her daddy so she just decided to say to he** with it all. He was my biological father too, but with 400 guests (over half of which had traveled 800 miles or more) I just don't think so. :wife: Two years later, they got married by a J.P. at some roadside chapel. I still haven't gotten over that one! :argue_cur
  15. Oh, last year we went to Nebraska Furniture Mart for this portable DVD player for my son. It took me exactly 8 minutes to get the player and get in line. My daughter was stoked. Well, four hours later I finally got through the line. She had went to Burger King (inside the store), taken a nap and found about 10 extra things to buy. It was nasty!! She told me that she is banning me from going to NFM any more on BF. Oh well, they usually don't have much I want anyway.
  16. I don't know why but it seems to always work out that they have the same amount of money (within 5.00 of each other) AND the same amount of gifts. It's strange, I don't set out to do that, but it works out that way,
  17. That's my problem, this lady wanted to trade actual coupons...but didn't say where she got them from. And I cannot find them anywhere. I have really hunted too. I was hoping someone had seen them. Sorry!! :(
  18. Taken from another board... There are 6.00/6.00 coupons good at Staples. Expires 2/15/06. Good on ANY purchase of 6.00 or more. Limit 1 coupon per transaction. Valid In Store, Online or Catalog purchases. No other coupon allowed. Now I just wish I knew where they came from!!! If anyone finds any, I could sure use three. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeassssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee!!
  19. I suppose I'm very lucky in this. My family has always celebrated on Christmas Eve and hubbys family has always celebrated on Christmas Day. We never had to make a decision of where to go. :woot2:
  20. I was 16, had just had cancer surgery on November 1 and all I asked for was some time with my parents for Christmas. The cancer had really hit me after the surgery and while recovering. (They had got it all by the way). Anyhow, on Christmas Eve we all opened presents and everyone kept looking at me funny because what do you get a kid that asks for time, right?! I opened quite a few really nice presents but then they handed me my stocking. There were plane tickets in it for all three of us and their two best friends (whom I love dearly). We went on a 7 day carribbean cruise!! It was wonderful, I saw so much stuff and I got to spend plenty of time with my parents and friends playing cards, talking and just having a good time. Memories are the best presents in my mind, I just wish I could convince my kids and grandkids of that. I'd be happier to spend the money that I spend on their presents just to take them somewhere for a long weekend and watch their faces when they are having fun. *sigh*
  21. Yeppers! I start Christmas shopping on Dec. 26 each year. I save tons of money that way and usually have wrapping paper out the ears!!
  22. I only have one boss and this year the team got together. We are each giving 5.00 (we'll have 120.00) then going to buy a GC to her nail salon (30.00 for a fill), her hair salon (25.00 for a cut and 40.00 for a color that she always gets) and a restaurant wrap it all up in a nice little basket with some lotion/body shampoo, throw in a couple of free movie tickets and present it to her. Kind of like a girls' day out that's all paid for. We have her best friend as another supervisor in our building so we just asked then called the places to find out how much it would cost. That way we could determine what to have each person contribute.
  23. Kohls, Circuit City and Shopko. :banana01: :cookiemon
  24. My Step-Mother_in_law, definately! She usually gives us things that just don't make sense or she knows we already have. And they are usually freebies that she's gotten off then net (and so have I already). Sheeeesh!! At least she tries though.
