  1. Gamestop, EB games, and Gamers are my favorites. They have the used games for really cheap usually. I can usually buy them at minimum 2/1 and better.
  2. Thank you!! I'll go back to my shopping list and add it so I don't forget. :howdy:
  3. In my experience, EVERY store is disorganized on BF:yay: It's all part of the fun!!
  4. There's an online catalog...domestications...I have no idea if they will have BF stuff, but it would be beneficial to compare their prices to any that you find before you buy. They are usually very reasonable, their stuff is quality items and I (at least personally) have never had a problem with them.
  5. When my kids were about that age, we started with the video games, stereos, clothes, and smelly stuff. UGH!! And of course, I was stupid enough to get my girls hooked on Victoria's Secret and BBW lotions, perfumes etc. No wonder my Christmas and Birthday budgets are sooooo big every year!!
  6. Nope. I had them one year and they just made me dizzy every time I turned them on, plus they tend to make the cats more curious about the little lights so I just have them run all the time.
  7. 16 yo DD: laptop, perfume, clothes, frog stuff 18 yo DS: car stuff, clothes, dog stuff 18 yo other DS: craftsman tools, puzzles, hoodies 29 yo DD: black hills gold, that perfume that I cannot remember the name of, unicorn stuff, dolphin stuff 29 yo soninlaw: hunting things 29 yo other DD (foster that came home): Gameboy Advance - she's bored at home - and girly stuff like makeup, nail things, perfume and dolphin stuff 11 yo grandson: wrestling and spiderman stuff 9 yo granddaughter: bratz anything. carebears. jewelry 7 yo grandson: spiderman stuff, books, hot wheels, a race track 1 yo grandson: hmmm, can't get a list from him, but I've got some noise makers that will drive his mom crazy!! :giggle: The older grandkids are getting a Color Video Now player each to help with the drive when they come to visit. It's 353 miles and they tend to drive their parents totally nuts on the road so I thought it would be a good investment especially at 25.00 each!!
  8. My family has always given them a 1 lb box of Russell Stovers candy. We each end up buying a case of the stuff! It's kind of tradition now and costs a little more than I should spend on them, but they always appreciate it and they always make sure to stop by during the days following Christmas to say Thank you to me. (I live in a town of less than 1000 so we all know each other anyhow.) The maintenance men (3) are very good here and my property is backed up on two sides by the City park, so they help us maintain our bushes and they even mow the portion of our yard that is outside the fence each time they mow. It's really nice. Plus, they plow snow in the park so they always make sure to drop the blade and "turn around" in our driveway. Great guys!!
  9. Girls: hair ties, bracelets (the rubber band kind), a Christmas Ornament in their own style, a Christmas pen and pencil, an activity book, small bottle of perfume, small hand lotion, lip gloss and either silly putty or slinky or something similarly silly. Boys: a hot wheels car (yes even DH gets one), small cologne, star wars watches from burger king, bracelets (again, the rubber band kind), a Christmas pen and pencil, an activity book, chapstick, small hand lotion. Fur babies (dogs and cats): 3 toys, 1 can of soft food, 1 package of treats, a new collar
  10. I know this will seem silly, but I just got a new cash register for our business then brought it home and sat it on the counter. Well, about two hours later my DH was sitting there playing with it. So he's getting a toy cash register as a gag gift. :g_laughin My point is, just keep an eye out on him and see if there's something that he fingers in a store or that he seems interested in when seeing it on a commercial and get him that. Even if it's a gag gift, the thought is there. By the way, my hubby is also getting some clothing, a wolf knife (he collects knives) and a train book that I bought at the Union Pacific store (he collects trains too).
  11. who had the $5.00 care bears?? I saw it mentioned in a post here and I have looked, searched.. ..I just can't seem to find them. Please direct me. :clapping: .I'd love to get one for the granddaughter and for the youngest daughter if possible. Thanks in advance for your help!
  12. www.terrysvillage.com They have some really cute snow women and men for very reasonable prices!!
  13. A true longshot, but I would love to find Obsession for women, Lucky You and the other one I can't think of right now *L* But they are perfumes for those who don't know. If I could find them for what I paid in Jamaica for them (half what we pay here), I'd jump and my girls would be extremely happy with Mama!!
  14. I found Bratz yesterday at our Walmart for 9.83 each!! That's a bargain compaired to what I paid last year for the two I got the granddaughter. HTH!
  15. I no longer work for a company that sells retail items, but when I did, I bought a LOT of my presents from them. The people got things they enjoyed and I saved some money. I do not see any downfalls to that.
  16. I have bought every member of our family (including the animals) an ornament since the day I got married. So our tree is eclectic to say the least. But I can say that our theme is: trains, frogs, sports, cats, dogs, angels, snowmen and western. Last year I bought our first hunting ornament (new son in law). *L* It's different, but each child knows that they get their ornaments when they move out (or if they have already moved out, at the end of the season I send the ornament off to them.).
  17. When they were little, the kids always got 5.00 each to go to the "Christmas Store" at church where wonderful volunteers "sold" them things and helped them wrap up. They were all donated gifts but the kids got a hoot out of it all. Now the grandkids do this. My 16 year old surprised me yesterday with my gift early!! We went to see the Nutcracker Ballet (my treat), just her and I. We usually go somewhere around this time of year, maybe the ballet or symphony or playhouse. Well anyway, she took me to dinner at a very nice restaurant prior to the ballet. It was a wonderful surprise!~!
  18. We spend Christmas Eve with my family and open gifts with them and eat pizza, then spend Christmas Day with hubby's family adn open gifts there with Turkey and trimmings. For our presents between all of us, we open on Christmas Eve for the kids that are home and our oldest daughter/grandkids, we do the weekend after new years because they never get home until then. Besides, I get to do a little extra shopping for the grandkids that way :-)
  19. Manheim Steamroller - any one of them, just love the group
  20. Nebraska is 7% (at least in Omaha area). Not sure about anywhere else though.
  21. Try NFM.com That's Nebraska Furniture Mart and they usually have tremendous sales on BF. Not sure about shipping that far, but it's worth a look. Good luck!!
  22. Shopping_mom, I've done that before with Trains. The shadow boxes themselves aren't too cheap but it made it personal and the receiver loved it.
  23. I got a bunch of wrapping paper last year at the after Christmas clearance sales, but I splurged last month when four of the girls at work brought in fundraisers at the same time and I bought 1 roll from each of them. I think I spent about as much as I saved *L*
