How old a boy. There are Disney things that are sold other than the Disney Store, a duffel bag or small suitcase with Disney images, or a backpack that he can put his things in, are you flying or driving, coloring books, etc are always entertainment. We did this when the boys were small, one year we did disney and another we did universal. I looked for shirts, backpacks etc and then left room for them to pick out something at the parks to remember the trip with. One set of grandparents gave them DIsney dollars for spending which was great, that way they had money of their own to spend with mom's help. Is the trip a surprise or is he aware of it. Mine knew they were going and we had a countdown to Disney instead of a countdown to Christmas...We left the day after Christmas since it's only a few hours from here.

What age group is this for, if it's for a child that wants to play angry birds and maybe some stuff like that, it might be okay but the less expensive ones are not as responsive to the touch, using a MID right now and have played with a pandigital as well...Fun to tinker with to see if I want to spend money when I have it to get something better... These were refurbs so not a lot of money in them...

I've started using the 5 hr energy shots on occasion when I have rough weeks at work, tried the full size ones but it takes me too long to drink one so I got no effect from them...My brother swears by the zipfizz which I do like but it's not so much a surge of energy with them but more a feeling that you've given your body something good for it.... it's like a vitamin to me. (a tasty vitamin).

I want to do a white tree one year with only my flamingo and beach themed ornaments on it, probably won't happen until I'm an empty nester...

Yes, mayor, I've seen the previous newcasts.... LOL. What I need is a loan to be able to afford what I want. Really don't have that many needs this year, but cross fingers for a part time job...Then I can give reports on the moods of the people in those 2 hour lines...

Now that would be the smartest thing they have done since deciding to bring back Layaway... :)

I haven't camped out at BB in a few years, not since the crowds starting getting there on a Tuesday... Haven't even done Target in a couple of years.... Usually I shop online and help Brad with the listings but if I can get an extra job, it would be great... have a senior and the cost of living is high and going up for me...

Jacksonville Fl possibly in the Town Center area, depends on whether I get the part time position at BB, had a phone interview 2 days ago and they will be scheduling interviews next week....

My kids say they like the stockings the most cuz they never know what will be in it and being teenagers they usually have an idea of what they are getting as far as regular presents go. I did a secret santa questionnaire this year, think I will revise it a little more but asked similar stuff to what we do on Gottadeal for secret santa... Figured it might give me a few ideas for surprises in the stockings and at the very least, be sure their favorite candy etc is in there... DH and i do stockings too, I'm more inventive but I hope he is getting better...

But that's the Thanksgiving period, They start the Christmas stuff with the 25 Days of Christmas if I remember correctly.

Sipping lattes while I shop, deals abound online. THanks Brad and Gottadeal too!

I gave my son a small nikon last year for Christmas and it has excellent picture quality and it's video is also not bad for the size. I have several cameras, love my little olympus waterproof for snaps, small and waterproof, no excuses not to take a camera.... but I also have a smaller Olympus DSLR, the EPL-1 pen camera, I think that's the correct model. Olympus makes a quality lens and it's very small and lightweight. I want to get a longer zoom one of these days but for now, it works well and is easy to carry around. I got it before BF last year and it wasn't on sale for a better price. Canon makes a good DSLR also, still love Nikons but they are out of my budget and I could always get my 35 mm equipment out of the closet if I really needed it...

Here's another article, the inner chamber is also larger so it will take a bigger pan and the oven reaches 375 degrees but the outside only gets warm to the touch. Mine are too old now but if they were 8-10... http://yourlife.usatoday.com/fitness-food/story/2011-09-14/Easy-Bake-loses-its-bulb-gets-a-makeover/50398642/1

From a review I read, it is more user friendly and no light bulb to replace. I'll look to see if I can find the review, I think it was in our paper a few weeks ago. Here's a short version, the one I had was more detailed http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/09/16/hasbros-new-easy-bake-oven-ditches-the-light-bulb/ Hasbro's New Easy-Bake Oven Ditches the Light Bulb By: Allie Townsend Topics: business, easy-bake oven, hasbro, kenner inc., lifestyle, lightbulb, toys Though NewsFeed's childhood would suggest that cookies taste better with burnt fingers, society seems to have come to an impasse with dangerous kiddie cooking. This week, Hasbro announced that its iconic Easy-Bake Oven would abandon its nefarious light bulb, a byproduct of toy's 11th redesign. Understandably, we're shaken by this news and as you search for blame, point your finger at the environmentally conscious set. As we began to phase out traditional light bulbs for the more energy efficient compact fluorescents, the death of the 100-watt light bulb was imminent – as was our childhood culinary experience. (At least we didn't let something as frivolous as safety concerns to alter our favorite childhood hazards.) "This gave us a reason to do it completely differently," Michelle Paolino, a vice president of global brand strategy at Hasbro, told the Associated Press. "We wanted it to look more like a real appliance, not a plastic toy." LIST: The 100 Greatest Toys of All-TIME Still, it's hard to believe that from now on, American youth won't know what it's like to learn about cooking (or burn units) by way of plastic ovens and light bulbs. Introduced in 1963, Kenner Inc.'s Easy-Bake Oven was the original chemistry set for confection. Children followed painfully simple cooking instructions – mostly of the "Add water. Stir" variety – to yield miniscule cookies or brownies. The updated version, the Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven ($49.99), features a warming unit closer to a traditional oven that can climb to temperatures of about 375 degrees while the outside of oven "remains only warm to the touch," according to the AP. Allie Townsend is a reporter at TIME. Find her on Twitter at @Allie_Townsend,on Facebook at Facebook/Townsend.Allie or on Google+. I worked at EB when they still had the Games and Gadgets back in the dark ages of the 80s and the same thing, I knew about a week ahead of time what would be in the ad, which in the early days of the company wasn't much...
-
Back in the 80's malls here in Jacksonville would close on Labor Day and Easter and by the time I left retail, those were no longer store closing days... If they could they would just make the stores be open 24/7.
-
Wish they would start it early, need to do it before the 17th if I do it at all.. Neither boy is getting a lot with the move but still, it would be easier for me to do it over time with the moving expenses...

Eve has it in the very first post.

I found the Legends of Zelda Ocarina on sale at Amazon for 30. last night so I ordered it. DS14 wants a 3ds and that game so now I just have to get the 3ds. Oldest child wants a blu ray so I will probably wait til closer to BF for that, and he wants anime so I will be watching Amazon since they usually have some good deals on the ones he likes.

Don't forget Baby's 1st Christmas ornament, pjs etc. My MIL gave us an engraved ornament among her gifts for each of my sons and the pics in the pjs are a must....

I'd love a black one, slimming and goes with everything....LOL of course I've gained back so much of the weight I lost last year that I don't know if I could squeeze in a 2x now..... How about a Shamu size one, I'd be a walking billboard... :)
