I would love to receive cookie baskets. There's alot more time and effort put into something like that than going to Walmart and spending 5 minutes picking me out a shirt that will probably be too small and ugly on top of it. I would do something like the basket but I can't cook or I should say I hate cooking..lol. But I love receiving them.... hint hint.

I think if I found something for 40% off and it was reasonable, I would go ahead and get it especially if it's going to knock something off the list and your daughter wanted it too. :)

I don't mind picking up stuff for others. But if it's the last one and I'm after it too...it's mine! lol My brother slept late last year and I knew that he really wanted to get the Spongebob tv and dvd player for his daughter. So I put it in layaway for him before I left Walmart. He seen all the deals I got last year, so I'm sure he'll get to moving this year..lol.

I bought one of the vacuums last year and it's still working. It's a good little vacuum for the price. I have to agree with the OP about the stuff on sale. It seems like it works that way when something new is coming out. I hope it's true with the ipod because I'm looking for one for Christmas.

My hubby does this all the time. One year he gave me some books from the Goodwill with some $1 bills inside of the books. I really wouldn't have minded the gift that much, if he had bought me some books that I would have actually read. 2 years ago he made my mom a money tree and she loved it. He used pennies as the soil and got a stick out of the back yard and put it in a little flower pot. He taped some $1 on the stick and even gave her a roll of pennies for extra food. lol. My mom loved it and said it was the best present she had received in years. When he was around 17, he gave a friend of his a load of stuff. Included in it was a tampon, disposable razor, notebook, pencils and other stuff that he found around the house. He also put an electric razor in with the rest of the stuff. The funniest part about it was the friend tried to shave with the razor and it got stuck to his face. My hubby laughs about it to this day. All of his friends are used to his thriftiness now and they never know what they will receive this year. He found a dvd player for $5 on Craigslist that he's going to give a friend who doesn't have one this year. Lord only knows what he has in store for me this year.

Big stuff usually goes to my mom's. Other items go in the front hall closets and the attic. The kids never go in the closet and my son hates the attic. lol.

WOW! You are organized. I try to hang on to my receipts but most of the time I lose them. I usually end up placing them in my top dresser drawer. I cleaned off the side of the fridge and found last year's layaway receipts from Walmart on the side.

I just had this discussion tonight with my son. lol. He's 10 now and he stopped believing when he was 9. He heard it at school from several of his friends. I told him he better not tell his cousin who is 6. She is the last one left who believes in Santa and I don't want him to ruin it for her. Let her believe it as long as she can.

Yep, that's me too. I would love the sudoku game but I have Alltel service. I've decided I'm not going to play the monopoly game online again until they have the Snapfish again. I may try the alternative game though. I didn't realize that you could get game for the pc.

I can't wait to give my son his electric dirt bike. He is going to be so excited. For my daughter, I can't wait to give her the mp3 player she has been wanting for about 6 months now. (Of course I haven't bought it yet so I don't know what it's gonna be..lol)

Coming across this site last year was definitely one of my favorite moments and I have been addicted ever since. Talking 2 of my best friends into going on their first ever BF. It was fun watching how excited they were. Also taking my 16 yr old daughter out on her first ever BF. She had a great time too. She was probably more hyped up then the rest of us were. I may take her again this year if there's nothing at Walmart that I want to get her.

WOW! That's a good idea for someone who doesn't want anything on BF. As long as the 4 guys get out of line and only 4 people replace them, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

We have a 24 hour Walmart so we go around 2-3am to scope out the store and see where everyone needs to be. It's also a good time to go ahead and pick up any items that you are going to Pricematch.

Yep, the name tag idea sounds good. You may have trouble getting people to agree to have perm. marker on their hand. I would be POed too if someone had cut in front of me.
