I called my friend who bought one for her daughter. She said that everything worked fine except for a copied dvd of Polar Express. But it was something that she had trouble on her own dvd player with also.

I didn't realize that they charged a fee for them also. It's been awhile since I've bought any GCs. Doesn't some GC lose some of their value as they get older? I've heard of this, but I've never had this problem, because I use 'em as quick as I get 'em. lol

If you think that he would like it go right ahead. My nephew was 3 yrs old when my daughter had her first christmas and we have him on video playing with her doll. He's 18 now and has had no lasting effects from it. I bought my daughter a cabbage patch when she was around 2 or 3 and she still has it. She'll be 16 on the 26th.

I got 3 layaways out of Walmart on the 15th. There was long line, but only took 30 minutes to get them all.
