  1. Hmm... what about the Sony 50" TV? Is this better? I don't need a bigger TV but if I can get a bigger TV for a better deal.... this is what it is priced at 8:45pm PST Friday night: Sony 50 in. LCD HDTV with 3LCD Technology, BRAVIA Sears item #05754607000 Mfr. model #KDF50E3000 $1499.99 So $1499.99-$250 (football rebate that ends tomorrow)= $1249.99 for a 50" Sony instead. You don't have to wait in line at 5am tomorrow morning. And you can submit for the 10% off rebate for using your Sears card and hope you get that rebate too... so then it would be $1124.99 for the 50 inch... opinions? DH wants another TV. I don't know how the TVs compare though. They are both full 1080 Sony TVs. Thats' really all I understand LOL.
  2. Here's a link to the discussion on the Online Deal Forums board. It has a link to the online ad in it, which definately sends you to the 1080 model and NOT the 720 model. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=89383
  3. I just hope they fixed their website... I had A LOT of trouble F&F night and still am having trouble getting things to be their correct prices in my shopping cart. I'm really almost afraid to rely on their website working correctly and getting the prices they advertise show up.

  5. Call your Target, mine had a shelf full of them this afternoon. They haven't had them in stock for months. I noticed they took them off the website so you can't even search to see if your local store has them :x
  6. Thanks... I needed $25 worth of stuff to use my $10 coupon to get my total from Mario Galaxy up to $75. So now I can buy 2 kitchen sets for my daughter for $30 and get a third set free. Her kitchen will be awesome and I'm so psyched for my deals tomorrow! $50 (Mario) $45 (3 kitchen sets) -15 B2G1 kitchen -10 coupon --------- $75 + $25 gift card. Cool beans!!
  7. If you have a discount tire store nearby, they are usually cheaper than Sears and my Sears will price match them. Go to www.tires.com to see if you have stores nearby, and how much your tires will be. Print the page out and bring it to Sears and if they have the same model in stock they will price match. Wish we had snow. It was 95 here yesterday silly desert ...
  8. Love their catalog. :) My kids looking at the toys in it of course :)
  9. I'd go with the leapster. Her sister would be getting a system with new games neither of them have played yet and she would like the same experience. There are A LOT of games appropriate for pre-K even for leapster. My 2 year old steals my 6 year olds all the time just to do the drawing games. I think at 2 she's more technologically capable than her grandmother about some things LOL. Anyways, kids love the Leapster, you can get great clearance deals on games. Toys R Us is still having their Big Toy Book sale on games; many are $15. Use rechargable batteries or see if you can get the docking station on clearance. It definately helps, esp on trips. Check the Target toy clearance in Jan for more games and stock up for her birthday. :) I bought some for under $5 last year.
  10. Personally I don't think it would be worth the hassle of me going to TRU on BF to buy the better price one. TRU is almost as bad as Best Buy here.
  11. Toys R Us has A LOT of good deals in their clearance section right now. Most toys seem to be 25-75% off. Toys for all ages and video games too... http://www.toysrus.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=2276203&view=all here are a few... Littlest Pet Shop Figure Portables: Black Dog with Tent - Hasbro $2.45 (this is the new scotty) Littlest Pet Shop Figure Portables: Dragonfly with Swing - Hasbro $2.45 (the new one) Lite Brite Cube and Travel Lite Brite Value Pack - Blue or Purple $7.48 T.J. Bearytales $19.98 T.J. Bearytales Book: My Not-So-Patient Day $2.98 T.J. Bearytales Book: Tale of the Cave Bear $2.98 T.J. Bearytales Book: My Baby Sister and Me $2.98 few other T.J. Bearytales titles, too. Star Station Entertainment System with 1 Microphone $39.98 (last years model) Monopoly: BATMAN Collector's Edition $17.48 Dora's Interactive Playhouse $199.98 Endless Adventures Magic Doorbell Playhouse $99.98 Disney Princess Wonderland Castle $299.98 (WOW, my daughter would LOVE this...)
  12. Eh, it was just about what I expected for Walmart. Glad you didn't lose the affiliate account. :) Funny thing is, they have A LOT of the items out in the middle of the aisles now for those prices. The play kitchen I want is $10 cheaper here than anywhere else. Hopefully it goes on sale online Thurs and I can buy it through this link and pick it up in store at my convenience.
  13. We went last Thursday night... the day they came out... and got the kids each a reindeer. Plus we made sure to buy the Rudolph sound. For $4 you can get the music which plays "rudolph the red nose reindeer." Last year at my store the Mumble sound sold out before Mumble. We splurged and paid $10 for the Rudolph DVD, too. I had 2 $5 off coupons (BAB holiday mailing catalog and National Geographic Kids magazine) so I decided to let the kids get the movie. It came with a $10 off $25 coupon that can be used AFTER Christmas (to right up until Valentine's Day, I think). So hopefully our points will boost us up enough to get enough certificates to pay for the Valentine toy with the coupon. And to think, my kids knew nothing of BAB 18 months ago... Still debating on getting the Santa outfit because that sells out fast in stores here, too.
  14. Thats' okay, I think they had the least spectacular ad. Just one less thing cluttering up the link page. I wouldn't be surprised the ones you put up Friday will be leaving tomorrow when the business day opens....
  15. There is a discussion on the deal finder forum. I have a Dyson and love it.
  16. It's very easy to empty. There is a trigger on the top that unlatches the bottom and everything just falls out. You can also flip a switch on the top of the canister to completely separate the canister from the top. This is helpful if you are like me and have pet hair that gets stuck up in the top and doesn't empty from the bottom easily. If you have allergies or are worried about dust flying up, they recommend putting the canister into a bag first before emptying it. I have taken grocery bags and easily emptied the canister into these, then tied the bag up and thrown it in the trash. If dirt sticks to the canister, you can easily wipe it out. If you use a damp rag/paper towel, you just have to dry it out for a few minutes before using. Personally I don't worry so much about it at this point. I used to.
  17. This one is available at many local Walmarts for this same price... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7893921 (baby alive) and so is this one: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=6005997 (Little Mommy interactive) Chou Chous are nice dolls: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5922558 I like the Fisher Price Little Mommy ones. They have a variety of dolls (not just the interactive ones). I bought a couple for my daughter when Toys R Us had them B1G1 in summer. Target has a twin pack on Black Friday for $30. Two dolls and a stroller that changes into like 5 different things (swing, highchair, stroller, etc).
  18. check our your local craigslist or pennysaver (www.craigslist.org, find your city, check the electronic packages). A lot of people are selling their old systems for cheap, with controllers and games for under $100. Or go to your local ebgames or gamestop and buy a used one. I'd get a warrenty there.
  19. I keep looking at the Dora kitchen but decided for that price I could get a better made one from step 2 or little tikes. Really, if you try it out in the stores, it looks as cheap as the $35 generic kitchen stores carry! I was looking at this Little Tikes Cook n Learn http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5902597 but was hoping it would go on sale SOMEWHERE before Christmas. This is $90 now Walmart dropped their price on this Step 2 and they have free shipping to your local store. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5903083 that one is $75 for a kitchen that will last and is all made in America....
  20. Costco has the Round and Round Pet Town for $32 and it comes with 4 extra complete pet nooks. These are little "rooms" that attach to the big pet town. Normally the pet nooks are $3-4.44 a piece (only $3 on a really good sale, Target had that sale in Sept). It comes with a couple of pets in pet town, and then the seahorse, turtle, golden retriever, and monkey pet nooks. I bought this for my 2 kids to SHARE. (hahaha) This week Target has the pet town for $19.99 on sale THIS WEEK. You can always add pet nooks later. This almost makes it as good a deal as Costco if you can get a $3 sale on nooks. Walmart has the pet town for $25 and it comes with a 3 story pet nook you can attach to the structure and one Walmart exclusive pet. they had this one online too. The Sams Club deal is great because you get 9 pets instead of only the 2 it comes wiht normally. After Thanksgiving weekend Target will have their $9.99 sets (which usually include 3 pets, or 2 pets if you opt to get the set with lights) for $7. This sale is available Friday AND Saturday, so you don't have to be there first thing to get it. (or, even better, go Monday before Thanksgiving, then take your receipt to customer service at your leisure Fri afternoon or Saturday and get a price adjustment). One of the best ways to start a collection is to buy a 10 pack of pets. They retail at $20 (you'll find most of the time it's about $2/pet for any pet shop) but will go on sale at KMart and Sears for $16 or less. Target has a big pack of pets out for the holidays. If you see the Pets Around the World set, I'd grab that one up. Very, very very hard to find and they only make those Target packages around Christmas. That has 10 pets in it too, I think. you can always check ebay of course. The Round and Round Pet Town is the big new thing this year. Some stores still have their Biggest Littlest Pet Shop special packages where you got extra pets in addition to the center at last year's prices. Somewhere (Target? Walmart?) has the tricks and talents show packaged with extra pets, too.
  21. I'm so sad, I called my store, which IS participating and they said that the invitations were only sent to the top 10% of all reward zone members. So sad, I certainly don't fit into that group. I HAVE bought several appliances in the last 2 years, you'd think that'd help... ANYWAYS... I heard from one guy that they were talking about letting "regular" Reward Zone members into the store to buy the items after the invitation members got their first pick. IF there were any sale items leftover, then the regular members could buy what they wanted. There were double and quadruple points offered tonight, the cashiers just scanned an extra coupon that was available at all registers. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth gambling for the extra points or just go with my coupon earlier and make sure I am able to use the coupon today. The coupons expire today so I'm really not sure. I'm just sad I didn't get the email.
  22. newegg.com and outpost.com have been running some good memory specials. I want to upgrade our 1BG laptop to 2GB so I've been watching sales. Lots of deals with MIR lately... I think they have been cheaper than BF prices, though.
  23. I bought mine about 3.5 years ago, too. I think it was soon after the DC 14 model came out. I learned at the time that each of the model numbers have the EXACT same vaccum, the only difference between the colors is the accessorries it comes with. So the purple animal vaccum is no different than the yellow vaccum in the same model number (DC 7, DC 14, DC 15, DC 17) it just has different accessories. When we vacuumed the house the first time we literally emptied the canister 3 times in one room. We had a Kenmore canister that I LOVED but this Dyson clearly outdid it. The salesman said that he hears that from almost everyone. We have had only two problems with it. First time I called and said my vacuum sounded different. The lady on the phone walked me through disassembling the vacuum to find the clog. You can pretty much pull apart all pieces of this vacuum yourself to clean out clogs! Very very simple and you won't break anything by doing so. Another time I called. A friend had borrowed it and had broken my wand. Somehow it had gotten stuck. They sent me a new wand...free of charge!...within days even though I had gone over the orginal warrenty. Great customer service, great vacuum. If you have a Kohls card you can use the 30% off coupon online. I don't know how much Sears is tonight at their Friends and Family sale, that's where we bought ours years ago (on sale, plus an additional 10% for opening an account).
  24. I think honestly the cheapest way to get a quad core is to build it yourself at this point. And from my understanding, many of the quad core processors aren't ready to take 4GB of memory yet anyways. I don't think they are able to do that until next spring. (but I could be wrong).
  25. I was in Walmart yesterday and noticed they had A LOT of toys up on top of the shelves in hardware. They had lots of toys that they don't normally have down on the floor. I noticed this Fisher Price Little People Christmas Deluxe nativity set http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4961029 up on top. They had them near some Little People Christmas trains. Online this set sells for at least $30. I had someone pull one down for me and I scanned it for $21. I bought it. I'm wondering now if this was suppose to be a BF toy. They usually offer one or two Little People sets in their ad. This set has NOT been down in any toy section of any Walmart I've been to. But, 2 of my walmarts are not big WM, so maybe this toy is coming onto the shelves soon. It might already be on the shelves in some of the bigger WM, I don't know. In either case, I was happy to get the set I've been wanting to get my young kids for years at a reasonable price.
