  1. Is this hard to find in stores? Does anyone know if Costco is cheaper? I haven't seen it there yet; did it just come out?
  2. no, they are not worth going for. The good toy sales have started!! TRU is worse than Best Buy in some ways. The entire store is filled with crazed moms and grandmothers that completely forget their manners. Ram you with carts, grab toys from out of your hands, crying kids that were dragged out of their bed at 3am, and then you have to wait in this line that wraps at least once around the entire store. All for prices that you can find in these few weeks BEFORE BF.
  3. I picked up a CR for my niece, I wish the Pirates one would hit $10 here; I'd pick it up for my other niece. They also had some of the Disney mix clips on clearance. Picked up one for $7.58 but then I decided to return it and buy a regular SD card and load it up with songs and give that to her. Same thing, but the SD card will be cheaper and I can put more songs on it then. This is for a 10 year old but she has no experience with MP3 players so for this price I thought it was a good starter one. For younger kids Toys R Us has the Sansa Shakers for 50% off this week for $12.50 http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2763903 those are also expandable with SD cards.
  4. I think the ONLY place that includes the Star Wars legos in that sale is Kmart. And I think that sale for them runs in Nov. So, if you have any coupons that say "get a giftcard WYB this product" start saving your GCs for Legos :)
  5. I copied it to my clipboard and pasted into a Word Doc. I am sure if you do that you can adjust the sizes! HTH!
  6. good find! I wanted these for a stocking stuffer!!
  7. I could totally hug you!!!!!!!! I JUST called Sat to get the price for bowling for my son's bday. The 6 people package w/shoe rental and pitcher of soda was $64.99!!!!! please let my center be participating..... can u pm me where you found the Q? thanks!
  8. The last couple of years I've stopped at Chik Fil A and used a free breakfast coupon and bought a sweet tea to go with it. This is the only time of year I eat breakfast there and I deifnately need the caffeine by 8am since I wake up at 3:30 or so. (I know, I sleep in compared to most of you, but I still haul kids around with me to the stores...)
  9. I think Elmo live http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10040333 the giant remote control dinosaur from Imaginext Fisher Price Kid Tough Electronics (especially the new DVD player, MP3 player, camera), Fisher Price Little People pink castle, oh. my. just found what most little girls will want. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10226414 Hasbro Sweet Lily Castle.. like a giant Pink Rose Petal Cottage castle with turets. I can just imagine when they start the commericals for that mine will want this... VSmile Vmotion game system heck, about 80% of the new toys on this page kids will want. Check out the big Tricaratops... it's like the Fur Real Ponies but it's a dinosaur. They even have a preschooler riding it in the picture
  10. look at leapfrog.com; they have those new Didj bundled together on sale with a game and cheap shipping right now. Discount warehouses (costco, sam's, BJs) should get them in soon, too. My son turns 7 in Oct, too. We gave him a DS last Christmas. He had a Leapster but hardly every used it. He wants the Didj (of course) and I like you can customize it to their own spelling words. I think the DS has better graphics, more game choices, and kids can play with their friends more. The digj may get boring too fast for older kids because it is educational, KWIM? I'm wondering if I get my 3yo her own pink Leapster she'll leave the DS alone and play her own games. I doubt it....
  11. I think it probably comes with its own game. The gym mat for VSmile that I bought on clearance a couple years ago came with its own game.
  12. Thank you! I was thinking of getting my DD the new Vtech VMotion set for Christmas. (Not that we don't already have the original VSmile... ) The VMotion works with all the old VSmile stuff.
  13. how many pages can you get from starter toner? Can you refill it at all, or must you buy the new set every time? I was just thinking this morning I was hoping they'd be a cheap laser printer with back to school sales, I've decided I'd like one.
  14. and, if you read the form, you can get EIGHT of them free!! LOL we own all but one of them, but now we can have two copies...DH takes them into the classroom every year to use, he can get his own class set
  15. I think right now is the best time to negotiate a good deal on anything bigger than a little car. Dealerships are having soooo much trouble moving cars for bigger families off the lots. IMO I think you could get that price down closer to $10K. We were going to wait a couple of years to buy a new car for us but we're thinking fall might be a good time.
  16. usually that's an item that clearances out at Target. I THINK that hits clearance last part of August....
  17. Did you see Mr. Magorium's Toy Emporium? (sp) LOOOVE that movie!! It's great for all ages. It's got a lot of stuff in there only older children/adult would fully get the joke from, but it's got so many crazy toy things that my 2 year old loves it too. What about any of the Disney talking dog movies? Snow Buddies, or the Air Bud series? Dr Doolittle (old or new) Flubber (old or new) Shaggy Dog (old or new) Finding Nemo and Cars are loved by everyone...
  18. If you buy the Bissell one, don't put the pads in with your regular wash! I did and they developed big holes after a couple of washings. I'd buy extra pads, too. Best deals I'd think are either kohls, amazon, linens and things, or bed bath and beyond. The first one you can wait for a 30% Q, the latter 2 you can ALWAYS find a 20% off
  19. wait until the back to school college dorm stuff is cleared out. They always put the beanbags on clearance then. :) I've bought them for DH's classroom then. Walmart and Kohls will also put the beanbags (classified as dorm furniture) on clearance in Sept or so.
  20. I've had my DC14 for 5 years. We chose not to buy the extended warrenty. We had someone borrow the vaccuum one day and they broke our hose. Dyson overnighted me a new hose, for free. This was 1.5 years after we bought it. (at the time we bought ours, they only had a 1 year warrenty on it) I had trouble getting suction this spring. Customer service spent over an hour with me telling me how to fix the problem myself. There are hardly any complicated pieces with this vaccuum; I love how you can take apart the entire thing yourself (except the motor). The problem was solved. While putting it back together, I mentioned a part was worn, and we had lost the crevice tool 3 years ago. They sent me both a new crevice tool and a new part, for free, on UPS. They have thumbs up for me. I'll never go to a bagged vaccuum again. I've heard great things about the Hoover Windtunnels, but I love being able to empty out this vaccuum and see how much dirt and pet hair you pick up. I think if you are interested in getting a Dyson, Costco is a great place to try it out :)
  21. Thank you thank you thank you!!! Our Staples ALWAYS sells out by Monday morning, sometimes even Sunday afternoon, so we'll definately be going early Sunday!
  22. Thanks for the heads up! I'm spending my day being patriotic and stimulating the economy at Target, too! heehe
  23. From my experience, Walgreens holds onto my photo orders for 2 weeks + after I order them. I've been using their photo service with their photo deals and sometimes forget to get them for a while. (I picked up my free Mother's Day photo one month later...) as long as you choose "pay in store" you can order them at the sale price and hold off picking them up until payday or until they have a Friday coupon.... I've had really good experiences with the photo quality at my store. Once you sign up for a photo account, make sure you click the "get email offers" button so you can get all these great photo deals + WAGs coupons in your email :) And don't forget you can use your Register Rewards to pay for photos, too.
  24. I'm sooo sick of finding things that are mismarked on the shelf and having to correct the cashier. I try to watch every item ring up now but it's hard when you're also watching kids. I think stores must count on distracted consumers that don't really care. Today I was suppose to get a $5 catalina coupon from Walgreens. The mgr was so nice when it didn't ring up and spent 15 min trying to figure out why I wasn't getting it. One reason was the employee mismarked the tags on the shelves. That employee was sent to redo all her tags immediately. We don't know why else it wasn't giving me the right coupon. She finally took the exact item shown in the ad and scanned that in so I'd get the coupon. She gave me the coupon and voided the sale she just rang up. On the other hand, I have been to 3 other stores within in the last 3 weeks where items ring up incorrectly. When I have corrected the cashier, all 3 have said "oh, too bad" and didn't bother calling anyone over. Then I just don't buy that certain item and leave upset.
  25. office depot has boxes of 100 for under $20... you could start there. http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/935429/Recycled-Color-Folders-Cut-Letter-Size/ I know my husband's school orders from Office Depot from their educator catalog. They pass the catalog around to teachers and they place an order for what he'd like. He is able to order supplies for his classroom 30-70% off the price of a regular store. Is that a possibility for you? Or maybe it's Office Max; I think it's OD, though.
