We got ours at Lowe's. They are always running sales, and they take competitor's coupons.

I would try Big Lots if you are looking for craft/art kits for older kids. They were around $5 there. Also, they had puzzles for cheap. They had a good selection of toys, but they were not super cheap. I just found some nice kid art sets at Target for $3.24. They were Faber-Castell Creativity for Kids "My First Portrait" and some kind of art kits. These are great for older kids. Dollar Tres has nice puzzles (animals, Disney, Care Bears, etc.) that might be good. Michaels runs sales on toys and art kits, too. You can check their website for their current ad. I picked up an art set for $2.99 a few weeks ago.

I saw some at our Goodwill store today, brand new, in a package.

Yesterday I found Faber Castell art supplies 75% off. Located on an endcap where the wrapping paper and stationery is. Our store had the bedding, towels and washcloths at 50% off on Saturday. There was still a ton left. I might consider buying some stuff if it goes to 75% off. Yours should be getting marked down soon.

I'm not sure if you are interested, but I found the Funtainer beverage containers last week at Kohl's for $6.79. They had High School Musical and another kind. They were back in housewares on a clearance shelf. They were hidden pretty well, which is why I think there were quite a few left. That is the cheapest I have seen them.

Finally our Target had backpacks, school bags and lunch totes at 75% off. They had quite a bunch left. I bought 4 backpacks, at $3.24 and $4.98 each. Still had lots of folders and single subject notebooks left. College 08 stuff was being marked down to 75% off. They had comforter sets marked down to $9.98 (reg. $19.99), but maybe they are supposed to be $4.98. These were solid pink or navy sets.

I went this morning and school supplies went from 30% to 75% off. Backpacks were still at 50% off. There were a bunch of team members back there, but they were busy putting up new Halloween stuff. They had some 10 packs of red or black Bic Cristal pens for $0.17, and some 20 packs of generic black pens for $0.12 (I think). Lots of plastic rulers and Elmer's glue left. I am hoping tomorrow the backpacks will go 75% off.

Yesterday our local Target had school supplies at 30% off and backpacks at 50% off. I went to the EDH Target, and they were just marking school supplies down to 75% off. Nothing too exciting. I bought some mini binder clips, 6 pack of hand sanitizer, and vinyl pencil cases. They had tons of book covers, notebooks and filler paper. Backpacks were 50% off, and I asked the employee marking stuff down if they were going lower. She said not till Thursday. I agree with everyone else. The past few years, there was a ton more stuff that was left at 75% off. I remember buying Crayola paint sets and crayons.

Our Target had backpacks at 50% off today, and most other school supplies at 30% off, including lunch totes. There were a bunch of employees in that section today, so I am hoping the backpacks will go 75% off tomorrow. Lots of girls underwear at 30% and 50% off. Also I found the girls socks (7 pack) for $2.62, minus the 50 cent off peelie, making them $2.12.

I went to TCP outlet yesterday and found a bunch of cute girls' t-shirts and tank tops for $1.99 each. They still had the tie-dyed and regular matchable shorts and t-shirts for $1.99. I stocked up for next summer.

Thank you! Has anyone been to the TCP outlet lately? I went a few weeks back and did not find the great deals on clothes I found last year. I remember around this time the entire girls' department was marked down to $2.99 per item. If anyone sees any good deals, can you please post your findings? Thanks!

I went by our local goodwill and they had flyers at the cash register stating: Super One Day Sale Labor Day Sept. 1st at 9am 50% off all merchandise excluding all new merchandise and hot pink tickets All stores are open 9am to 8pm. You may want to check with your local goodwill to see if they are having the sale. Our flyer just listed the stores in teh Sacramento area.

I got a Princess sheet and pillowcase (no comforter or quilt) for $3.99 at Ross. Target has toddler bedding now.

I agree! We got this as a gift and used it once. My kids loved it, but it took me forever to scrub it off our sidewalk. I threw it away after using it once time.

I went to the outlet a few weeks ago. They had their Easter dresses marked down to $4.99 for girls. Really cute for summer. They also had girls jeans for $4.99. Also, they had a few long-sleeve t-shirts for $0.99, but the selection was small. IMO, the sales will get better in July when they start to clear out the summer stock.
