  2. I'm jealous. We put tree up on Sunday and put beaded garland on it but not much since. I should have done some more yesterday but spent all day looking for something which never appeared. Today I have to pack for Disney and send out SS stuff so probably won't get much down especially if BFF needs me to go shopping with her/help with kids. So hopefully tomorrow before I leave I can get it down with my mom if she is not stuck babysitting again. She's supposed to do Tue&Thurs but SIL mother has been swapping days since week before Thanksgiving so she can "get her kitchen done before Thanksgiving". That woman can't even make toast! The sliver lining is WE got to go BF shopping while she got to babysit and had to change her plans. I guess she though SIL and brother didn't work.

  6. Ours had caution tape and employees. Aside from a small bottleneck between electronics and children's clothes it was fine but the store is a few months old, has wide aisles and couldn't open before 6 due to strip mall regulations. I'm sure by next year everyone will know and it'll be chaos. I think my years of B&M BF shopping may soon end, the news and GD stories are pretty horrible.

  9. Our lights were still out on anything but the MOST major of roads at 3:30am on Friday morning. I thought that was really irresponsible of the city.

  11. What they bump to MSRP is the amount showing under items picture on lightning deals page. Before sale starts its shows the price at that time, once the lightning deal goes live that price (under lightning deal picture) changes to the MSRP. For example a lot of the jewelry this morning has been 29.99, once lightning deal goes active the lightning deal price has gone to 19.99 and picture price reflects 49.99. Some folks see price before lightning deal goes live and believe the discount will be off of that amount expecting a large discount on the previously listed price and aren't seeing that. I've seen a few cases this morning where the discount was a few bucks less than amount originally listed under picture, hardly a "LIGHTNING' deal by my or many GDer's standards I believe.
  12. I think for the bluray players under WiFi we should have yes, no and ready as options. That seems like a question that popped up a few times in the webcasts. Not sure if it'd be worth it for non Doorbusters to put date sale starts. For example Walgreens and CVS had sales starting Thursday and BJ's had online only stuff since Wednesday, but it could just clutter charts too.

  15. the site got slow on BF i think. I guess if you were logged in during that time they sent you credit maybe. I know I spent a good 5 minutes panicking thinking I would lose a lightning deal because it wouldn't load checkout page

    Companies take advantage of people being busy and that is the reason they get away with half the stuff they do. They know that not everybody has the time or will make the time to call corporate or the higher ups and make a formal complaint to resolve the error/injustice. My bff has been burned too many times by switching of offers or whatever and usually just accepts whatever changes retailer made because a)she doesn't have to worry about cash and her time is more valuable to her.

  19. I don't recall seeing any kids at all but my memory sucks. I kind of dread seeing these threads come up because it's easy to say I wouldn't put MY kids in that position but to each their own. I don't stand still long enough to look around and observe what OTHER ppl are doing:) Only time I really stood still was waiting to get into Walmart (where I was looking down so as not to trip over barriers legs) at 6am and in line at Disney Store(where I saw no kids surprisingly) for a few minutes literally but I didn't head out til 3:30am so maybe they were already in bed by then.

    If THEY gave her a ticket for the correct item then they should have had it in stock and corporate should go out of their way to correct this. This is part of the reason I may never camp out, store personnel can be inept and waste your time just as much as useless websites. If she still has it in hand, I'd scan a copy and forward to them as proof.

  23. At that point I request to speak to the manager and when they can't help request corporate info from them as they MUST provide to anyone who requests it. It's entirely possible you got an uninformed or lazy rep but some "managers" are just as useless. It takes time but I usually get to the bottom of things, if need be call back and request immediately to speak to manager. Advise them you can wait all day if need be because they'll never call you back AND document through the website contact us option too.
  24. I have had issues with BB before and generally avoid shopping there but some stuff I need is just cheaper there. The making up rules as he went along was one thing(bad enough, but he could argue he was misinformed or trying to appease someone) but being a rude a-hole is another thing completely (inexcusable from a manager)
  25. UNDER the sheets? I may just return it unopened. my bed is a pillow top as it is, if I add this I'll never find sheets to fit it
