we used to have real trees usually from home depot selection but a few years back we bought a fake one at target after christmas sale and we've stuck with it since. I'm considering when to put it up and with what as Bella has never had one unless she did at breeders/intended home and I'm worried what she'd do. She's a very curious dog and where the tree normally goes we have a sofa she loves to roll her toys under. I'm worried what ornaments would be safe FROM and for her.

I'm really behind on BF planning with underwhelming ads and a colleague who annoys me for the ad as soon as I try to review it and then 48 follow up questions per ad about if it's available online. I need to print everything up and binder it at work Monday morning for serious review during lunch/other spare time. Hopefully I'll use my week off to organize list of people and presents needed vs what we already have. My co-worker asked me earlier in the week if a particular thing would be on sale online and I said I'd have more info closer to the date and that she could probably get one of the kids to go online and order it Thursday. Well she took it literal and came back on Friday to tell me they had the item but no sale price, I had to explain I had meant Thanksgiving Day. She comes back with we don't go online on Thanksgiving and I flat out told her, "you don't go shopping BF, you won't go online Thanksgiving, I don't know what you will get". I know we're being laid off soon and everything but damn give yourself a little headway. Going online for 1 hour at most early am or after festivities on Thanksgiving will not kill you.

I got a lot done at kmart last year too. It was very disorganized and even the managers were clueless about some stuff but it worked out in my favor last year.

Free shipping generally stipulates continental USA but maybe you'll get lucky with some store.

good find. I know some stores close their customer service desk just not sure which. It just doesn't look promising. I guess hiding high and out of sight in a totally different non sale area is the way to go then.

I used to do site to store too but our Walmart isn't on the way anywhere so was either make a special trip or stop by on my way home from work and then get stuck in rush hour. Now if they'd open it up at 7am I could go in before work and save the hassle

A question for those that have price adjusted previously: Do you need to take the item or just your receipt?

I haven't fine tune tooth combed the ads but I don't see anything that I don't need calling my attention. I used to impulse buy somethig terrible on BF. Years ago they had the cd and then later dvd spindles for cheap, walgreens had the jar candles buy 1 get 2 free and cheap laundry detergent. If I had started couponing earlier would have saved much more too. BF has never been a day to buy things I need.

Maybe I'm over simplifying but if its out why not just purchase full price then go back and return/repurchase.

I've wanted a pair of these forever and gave up ever finding them. I was suprised as heck when I saw these last night and absolutely loved it, but I doubt I'll be buying one since it just doesn't make sense with our weather:(

I'm missing Kmart, BB and Walmart although I suspect they are all late ad stores. I would really like any ad that gets me excited about getting something but I fear I've been spoiled by the great clearance/sales I've found this year.

I think I've done so well over the year with clearance buys that the sales seem very lacking PLUS we have tons of stuff to divy up between gift recipients.I'm still going out probably just as early but without the rush of "needing" to get stuff. I haven't seen anything I want for myself which I guess means reusing unopened purchases as gifts from others to myself.

I too like the coupon over sale prices but have to work out what to get. Don't need anything in ad.

The snowglobes are free and usually handed out at the door by employees in huge boxes. We usually get a few each and then give them to family members who aren't able to shop that early. When my grandma passed my aunt gave her set to my youngest cousin. After time it adds up, we usually set up a smaller table with ours as part of the decoration

I love it. They're shipping times vary some quick some super slow but free is free and I usually order with plenty of time:)

anyone else having trouble opening this one? NeverMind! I went into panic mode, for whatever reason I had to open then save as selecting save was only saving a 1.x file and giving me errors.
