  1. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/EMOPOwooHooHL.gif Awesome!!! Thanks, Brad! I think this book is calling my name: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/1592576397.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_V43700160_.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Vehicles-Scoot-Cycle/119534227-Ti.gifhttp://www.amazon.com/Complete-Idiots-Guide-Motor-Scooters/dp/1592576397/ref=sr_1_4/102-1663370-2364126?ie=UTF8&s=books
  2. Which one are you ordering? http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Coffee/INKitCoffeepot2.gif
  3. It looks cool... but looking cool just isn't enough! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Drink/lovecoffee.gif
  4. This is my current coffee maker: http://graphics.samsclub.com/images/products/0004438742859_L4.jpg Delonghi 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=145652 It's starting to leak out of the bottom, but it was only $30 and I've had it for two years and I brew coffee twice a day just about every day. The coffee tastes much better with the Aroma Button set to "on" ("Aroma Button actives a unique brewing process that enhances the flavor and aroma of your coffee"). I'll be replacing it with the same coffeemaker.
  5. Stay away from this one, I had one that lasted 3 months. I was very disappointed. http://static.flickr.com/27/179003085_12ceebb7f2.jpg
  6. Both Lowes and Home Depot have basic white toilets for about $75. Almond-colored toilets are about $125.
  7. My parents http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Love/hb1.gif Holiday Inn Expresses. They have their best luck by calling the front desk of the hotel they want to stay at -- not calling the general toll-free number.
  8. Nate hit all of the high points, but I'll just add that this "VistaQuest" camera is probably fine if you are giving it to a kid and don't want to be heartbroken if they lose it or drop it, but don't plan on taking it to a family reunion, the zoo, etc. and coming up with any worthwhile shots. You need to spend at least $200 and get a brand name before you get a decent digicam. And definitely go for an optical zoom lense. Digital zoom just makes the image larger, complete with pixelation.
  9. Lowes or Home Depot?
  10. It's going to be the sweetness! http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/thumbup-two.gif About 15 months ago, I bought my Dell 19" LCD for like $297. That was the best deal then. At this rate, in two years, we'll be able to buy a 27" LCD for like $350!
  11. The model I have is the LT27HVX. That may not be a current model since I've had it for 15 months. The second one is fine, no dead pixels. Minor gripes: 1) The remote control has the "Menu" button in the middle of the directional keys where you expect to find the "Enter" button. I've had the TV for 15 months and I am STILL trying to get used to that! 2) We use the TV in our bedroom. The timer to turn the TV off is way too complicated. Instead of a simple "off in 15, 30, 45, 60, etc. minutes" (like you find on 99% of the TVs out there), you have to program a specific time for the TV to turn off. And the next night, you have to reprogram the time again... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/frusty.gif 3) It has all sorts of audio programs like live, arena, movie, club, church, etc. And they all make the little speakers bottom out from the bass. I just keep it "normal" and it's fine. 4) Being an "off brand", it's hard to find multi-function remotes that will control it.
  12. How about 22" LCDs for around $300? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2010190020+1309822582&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=20
  13. Viewsonic makes good stuff: http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/productimage/24-116-062-14.JPG ViewSonic Graphic Series VG2030WM Black 20.1" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with Height Adjustments 300 cd/m2 800:1 Built in Speakers - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116062 $279.99 ($239.99 after $40.00 Mail-In Rebate) 3 Business Day Shipping $16.02 Newegg has 20.1" LCDs as low as $189.99 if you don't mind "off brands". http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2010190020+1309821320&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=20

  15. My pleasure. Yes, the outer box (in the store) or the description (if you are looking online) should proudly state BURR GRINDER. If it doesn't, it's safe to assume that it's a standard chopping coffee grinder. Basically, a standard chopping grinder's blades look like the ones in the bottom of a blender, but a burr grinders look like one of those rotary pencil sharpeners that are in school classrooms. http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/3/39/250px-CrankPencilShapener.jpg I haven't been looking lately, but most burr grinders are $50+ (except for the refurb that Nate posted in this thread).
  16. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Drink/lovecoffee.gif I love coffee too, but I don't use either, but I do know that burr Grinders are considered better than "chopping" grinders. Burr Coffee Grinder: http://www.twinvalleycoffee.com/graphics/virtuoso1_side_bottom_burr.jpg The more common model (and cheaper) is a rotary coffee grinder. Rotary Coffee Grinder: http://ec2.images-amazon.com/images/P/B00004SPET.01._AA280_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffee_grinder A burr grinder is the Lexus, a rotary is a Toyota. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Drink/millan_300ccCoffee.gif
  17. I have the an Olevia 27" LCD HDTV I bought on BF 2005. Buy an extended warranty! I'm on my second one. My Olevia has a coaxial cable input. I believe every TV on the market has one and will for the foreseeable future.
  18. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/shesaidpurp.gif Corporate stores are the place to go for situations like this -- resellers like Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. really only want to handle new customers. Sorry about the break-in, that sucks. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Sad%20Upset/tsk.gif
  19. Lowes, Sears, or Sam's Club/BJs/Costco
  20. Congrats! Spring will be here before you know it (I hope so, anyway)! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Tasks/met025.gif
  21. Free Shipping codes through 3/31/07: A373785 (as mentioned by devinmom), A372387 or A379142.
  22. Fisher has a around 10 free tracks. www.fishertheband.com She sang that song for the Toyota "rolling wheel" series of commercials, and she's been on a few movie soundtracks. I have two of her CDs -- great vocalist -- Adult Alternative music.
  23. You husband should know that because Tungsten (and Titanium) are such hard metals, a hospital would have difficulty cutting it off his finger should they ever need to. Gold and silver are downright soft in comparison. He has to do what he feels is "right" but I wouldn't recommend wearing it for jobs that require heavy labor.
  24. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Please%20TY/mwel.gif Happy to help. Remember to use Phonescoop to make sure you get compatible phones. If you want me to double-check before you buy something, just drop me a PM with the details. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/10.gif
  25. Yep, it's a great use for an old hard drive. I have FIVE of these, and my parent's have one: http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/productimage/17-716-010-02.JPG http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=4093+1054207132&Submit=ENE&Description=Galaxy+METAL+GEAR+Metal+Gear+Box+II&Ntk=all Mine are black, my parent's is red (don't get the red, it's u-g-l-y, like a soapy-grey red, not the fire-engine color I was expecting). $19.99 +S/h
