  1. Not quite what you were looking for, but here are 200+ different overlay images: http://txt2pic.com And another good one: http://www.says-it.com

  3. If you call 1-800-555-TELL and say "Santa", you can hear a prerecorded message from Santa, Mrs. Claus, or the elves. They are supposedly going to have status reports all night on Christmas Eve. 800-555-TELL is a free information service, you can get weather, sports scores, news updates, etc. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Holidays/rudolf.gif
  4. Laptop Bags geared towards women: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2000260482+1296919463&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=482 I will add that you'll need to know what size screen her laptop has so you can buy the appropriate bag.
  5. Most of the Vegas deals that I know are from past visitors who sign up for the Rewards Cards and use them when gambling. I get offers all the time, but they can only be redeemed by me. I typically get offers for 3-4 free nights and $250-$300 in free gambling money. The rewards cards look like this: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Vacations/Las%20Vegas/cards8wf.jpg

  7. Glad you guys liked my experience... It's one of those things that's funny now, but certainly wasn't funny at the time. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Wink/wink11.gif
  8. Don't you have the confirmation e-mail(s) from them??? "Best Buy would like to thank you for your order, blah, blah, blah..." That should be proof enough that you bought it from them.
  9. My wife and I bought our washer and dryer from Circuit City as scratch-and-dents (back when CC sold appliances). Well, the washer released gear oil all over our clothes!!! CC sent a repairman. The repairman was an independent guy who did warranty work for CC on the side. He looked it over and determined that it was a defective washer that had never been serviced before being resold. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Profanity/1.gif My wife and I were livid! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/flaming1.gif My wife and I put the ruined clothes in a plastic bag and went to Circuit City on Saturday night, probably the busiest time for CC. We explained our situation and they'd order the parts to fix the washer (new drive motor as I recall). We told them that wouldn't be good enough -- they sold us an appliance as "NEW" that was actually used, defective and was sold without being repaired. I started to get a little loud... We asked if they'd like to see the oil-stained clothes. The appliance section was filled with couples looking at various appliances. "No," they said "that wouldn't be necessary". They delivered a brand-new (not scratch-and-dent) washer on Monday afternoon. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Happy/Big-Smile.gif After a few more washings, all of the oil came out of the clothes too.
  10. My Dyson DC14 Animal is about to go back to Dyson for service a second time within 6 months. I loathe it. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/vent.gif
  11. Not to mention Christmas lights and decorations will all be clearanced! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Holidays/HOXmasW042Ornaments.gif
  12. The beginning of the end: http://www.oaktreeent.com/web_photos/Video/Zenith_Model-VR-9750J_Beta_VCR_web2.jpg. :D
  13. One year of Saveaur for $4.99 http://www.magazinepricesearch.com/detail/saveur.html
  14. I've used ones that are a few months old. With their prices, you need the coupon to make anything a good deal.

  16. I only want the 2nd Generation (as pictured above), and that ONLY comes as a 1GB. And tools -- my in-laws normally get me a tool of some sort, so you're not too far off. Screwdriver set, saw horses, a stepladder, a laser level, etc.
  17. I think I'm getting a Shuffle. I also made a pretty strong hint to my wife that I could use a large tool chest -- I'm renovating the upstairs and right now all of my tools are in a large cardboard box (and everything finds its way to the bottom of the box). http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/mmph.gif
  18. On a smaller scale, I have purchased non-sale items at sale prices. One time the sales clerk told me that since they were out of "x" brand of DVDs, I could buy "y" brand at the "x" sale price. Another time I needed to buy two 512mb flash drives for a friend, OM had the best sale price on Verbatim 512mb for $13 but they were all out. I asked the clerk if I could buy two of the Lexars at the sale price (they were clearanced at $19) -- no problem. Of course, discounting a pack of DVDs or a Flash Drives is nothing like taking $200-$300 off the price of a different notebook.
  19. some city = Allentown, PA (about 1/2 hour from me)
  20. Keep checking back here for the laptop deal, but I just wanted to forewarn you that the USB light is pretty much useless. The light from your laptop's screen projects more light.
  21. Hey, in addition to heating drinks, that one can cool a drink too! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Weather/WEFreezingHL.gif Very "cool"! Yes, I really do have a smiley for every situation! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/LOL/laugh21.gif
  22. That is the EXACT one that I bought at OfficeMax (the red and green lights are a dead giveaway). (Shipping on a US-based auction might be cheaper.)
  23. OfficeMax should have them in their store -- they were in-store BF specials for $1.99 (regular price is $9.99). I bought one on BF -- it gets HOT! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Drink/lovecoffee.gif Unfortunately, only my smaller coffee cups fit on it. It functions as a USB 1.1 4-port hub also (whether heating coffee or not). There is an on/off switch for the hotplate. You could buy one on eBay, too: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=so&sbrftog=1&from=R10&submitsearch=Search&satitle=usb+mug+warmer&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&floc=1&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&sadis=200&fpos=ZIP%2FPostal&sacur=1&sacqyop=ge&sacqy=&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp= (those are probably people reselling the ones they bought at OfficeMax)
  24. Wow, you go all out! Even changing the shower curtain! :) http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Tasks/bathbaby.gif
  25. We have the problem with mis-deliveries too. Plus I get everybody else's mail in my box. Two years ago, as Christmas was approaching, I went to get the mail while our mail lady was delivering mail to our boxes (we have multi-boxes like tokanm described). Out of nowhere, she starts telling me that postal carriers can accept gifts from people on their route with a value up to $25.00! Uhmmmmm, excuse me!!!! I never offered to give you anything. It's not a "gift" if you suggest it. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/shock.gif Talk about TACKY! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/nervest.gif
