  1. Firefox users: Create a new Folder in your Bookmarks called "Deal-A-Day sites" or similar. Add all of these sites as a Bookmarks within that folder.Once a day, just right-click on that folder within your Bookmarks and choose "Open in Tabs". Firefox will automatically open *ALL* of those sites for your perusal (should be much faster than opening them one-by-one).If you want to make it even more fancy, you can use the FireFox extension "Morning Coffee". That will open the sites on the days you specify, for instance, you may only want to open the "Deal of the Week" sites on Mondays... http://www.shaneliesegang.com/projects/coffee.php http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/N1clever02HL1.gif

  5. My in-laws give me presents from Santa every year.
  6. Usually, OfficeMax for 6 am opening.
  7. I'll also echo Ace Hardware as first. Purely speculation, but since Ace Hardware stores are independently-owned and operated (http://www.myace.com), I think the store owners need a little more time to get everything ready, therefore the ads have to go out to the stores sooner. Every other store that does a circular (BB, CC, W-M, Target, etc.) are all corporate-owned. Again, this is purely speculation! http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/ok.gif
  8. When thinking of ordering from a company I've never heard of, resellerratings.com is my next stop...

  13. 2006 -- Our first stop was OfficeMax. Arrived at 5:55 am in the parking lot. Everything was in stock and more less in order. In and OUT in 10 minutes FLAT! Off to the next store (Staples). 2005 -- Office Depot was our second stop (went to Sam's opening @ 5 am). We had scoped it out earlier in the week for the 27" Olevia 16:9 LCD TV. Found out that our store was going to have 5 of them. We were about 30th in line & waited 20 minutes in line in 14 degree temp. I was so sure that they wouldn't have any more 27" widescreen TVs... As it turned out, we grabbed the 3rd ticket in it's little holder in the display. I think everyone was there for the camera deal. Lady in front of us in line had a camera and the 1 GB SD Card. She got all bent out of shape because she wanted her $75 MIR to be credited on the spot!!! Both the cashier and the manager told her that wasn't going to happen, customer had apparently read just the front of the ad and not the "inside" where it states the conditions of the $75 discount. So she told 'em they could keep the $$! camera and the 1 GB SD card. Cashier takes both to hand to the manager to put back on the shelf. I said loudly.... "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! If she's not buying the SD card, I will!" (I couldn't find any on the shelf earlier...)
  14. I always offer to pick stuff up for my Cousin-in-law, but he never takes me up on it (we're both computer geeks).

  18. Although you'd definitely be the first in line, you might smell a little. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Sick/N1yuck02.gif
  19. www.tinypic.com will host your image for about 6 months at no charge with no account. www.photobucket.com will host your image for as long as you like at no charge with a free account (they also have a premium service that's $25/year). There are others, but those are the two that I use.
  20. As southwti pointed out, Vista requires A LOT of system resources. Make sure to bump up the processor and have at least 2 GB of RAM to run Vista. Or, just get Win XP Pro. Personally, I'd get Vista if you have the spare $$$ to bump up the system right.
  21. For Best Buy or Circuit City, you're going to find that 4 or 5 pm is much too late if you want any door busters. You need to plan for around noon on T-Giving. Honest. And it's in the 30s on Thanksgiving here in PA. And as Black Friday gets more popular as years pass, that time is going to get earlier and earlier. But to answer your question, we go to Staples, OfficeMax and Office Depot, and I only go 1/2 an hour before they open and usually end up with 90% of the things I want. OfficeMax is the best -- they always have plenty of doorbusters in stock and they're organized, I go there first and I can usually go in and get out with everything in 10 minutes.
  22. My wife tried them when they first came out... They irritated her gums so much she couldn't go the whole 14 days.
