  1. Amazon has the best price. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=public+enemies&x=0&y=0 DeepDiscountDVD isn't discounting too deep: http://search.deepdiscount.com/search?w=public%20enemies& Walmart has it for $15.86, plus tax. Other than that, you'll have to wait for it to get a little stale and be discounted...
  2. Also, you could call around to your local independent bike shops and plead your case... They might have a trade-in kicking around in the back that they'd like to get rid of. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Vehicles-Scoot-Cycle/bicycle.gif
  3. You aren't likely to find a full-size bike new for less than $80-90. Your best bets are going to be used: Freecycle.org Craigslist.com A nice used bike is better than no bike at all... Good luck!
  4. What about the people who paid four times the retail price by buying on eBay? -------- Oh, and there is another thread about this topic going on in the Lounge: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=161323 Normally I close duplicate threads, but since this is a possible public health issue I am OK with two threads on the same subject in different sections of GD.
  5. Bump for the 2009 Christmas Season! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Threads/signs-bump.gif
  6. Though it's not animated, I like this photo: http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/KentuckyGuy/DittoLightsp1-1.jpg
  7. Yeah, Amazon is like that. You really have to strike when the iron is hot... That's the only explanation I have. I have some items stored in my cart using their "save for later" feature -- some of them seem to change (up or down) every time I log into ma Amazon account. Sometimes a price will change twice in about 5 minute span -- blows my mind.
  8. Wow, I wasn't aware they were still running that program. It's been two years easy since I bought something at Best Buy.
  9. The TomTom XL has an SD memory card slot. However, TomToms either use the SD slot --or-- the internal memory, but not both. As I recall, they have 1GB of built-in memory, so you aren't going to gain ANYTHING unless you go to a 2GB or larger card. I have a 2GB card in my TomTom, I have it full-loaded with all of the POI lists that interest me, color combinations, and plenty of voices. To get your maps and info on the SD card: Do a backup to your computer from the GPS using the TomTom desktop software and a USB cable. Turn the unit off. Insert the SD card. Turn the unit on again. Using the TomTom desktop software do a restore (which will then go on the card). ----- Consider joining http://www.tomtomforums.com for POI lists, color combos, voices (and assistance). I'm Genius of Love over there (a play-on-words from the Tom Tom Club song), but I'm not on there much any more since I have a newer Garmin than my 2 year old TomTom.
  10. Might be worth a call to Garmin's tech support... I'm sure they handle calls like that all day.
  11. Buydig.com has the Nuvi 765T for just $206.47, shipped! http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=GRNUVI765T&omid=200 Maybe I should stop looking??? http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Non-Smiling/tomato.gif

  13. You may not want to know, but that GPS is only $209.99 at Amazon, shipped to your door: http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-765T-4-3-Inch-Bluetooth-Navigator/dp/B001ELJER4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1259703004&sr=8-1
  14. Yeah, a number of teen clothing stores are starting to make "Ugg like" boots. My wife bought a pair for her Goddaughter and another for her GD's sister at a local mall... Not sure of the store, but it was probably something like Forever 21, A&F, etc. Wife said they came in a few different colors. Apparently it was a little display tucked in a corner. With teens growing so fast, buying actual brand-name Uggs that a child might get a season or two out of is kinda expensive.
  15. You're quite welcome! It really expands your horizons in terms of going down random roads that just "look interesting" and knowing that you'll definitely find your way home again. And also to be able to find interesting twisties on a Mapquest and go find them on the bike. The days of using a printout in your tank bag's map pouch are over (which is a great thing if you are like me and sometimes miss a turn -- printed directions don't "recalculate").
  16. Once you have successfully transferred your route from Mapquest to your Garmin, you have a few more steps... From the main screen, go to Tools. On the next screen, use the down arrow to get to "My Data" (click on it). Next choose "Import Route from File". You can either "Select all", or select individual routes... Click the "Import" button... That get's the route into your Garmin's local memory. Go back to the main screen. We're in the home stretch! --------------- Click the "Where to?" from the main screen. On the next window, click the down arrow. Click "Routes" in the lower left. If necessary, scroll through the link to get to the route you want to load and click it. Click the "GO!" link and you're all set!
  17. And does he step out on his wife? This game should be modeled after Grand Theft Auto...
  18. Crocs have started making dressier shoes: http://www.crocs.com/womens-footwear/women-footwear,default,sc.html
  19. 32" Magnovox for $329.99: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889253200 (One day Cyber Monday deal). This same TV is $338 (everyday) at my local Sam's Club.
  20. For a tractor-trailer driver, a Garmin Nuvi 465T would be a better choice. "With detailed maps providing turn-by-turn directions that call out streets by name, the nüvi 465T provides specialized routing to support truck-related restrictions (customizable by height, weight, length, width and hazardous materials). Simply enter dimensions and load restrictions and nüvi 465T guides you according to your requirements. You can even enter multiple-point routing so that you can take a more efficient route between multiple stops along your trip." https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=275&pID=31541 Reviews: http://gpsmagazine.com/2009/05/garmin_nuvi_465t_truck_gps_rev.php http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2346511,00.asp http://gpstracklog.com/2009/05/garmin-nuvi-465t-review.html A bit more expensive than the Magellan... Here it is for $424.87 from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-4-3-Inch-Widescreen-Bluetooth-Navigator/dp/B001TH76JQ/ And Buydig.com has it for $422.00: http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=GRNUVI465T
  21. I forgot to mention that I also downloaded the CDs from David Cook, David Archuleta and No Line On The Horizon by U2 from Amazon for $5 each.

Underworld DVD ($2) Underworld: Evolution DVD ($2) Casino Royale ($2) A Christmas Carol (softbound book, $1) A Christmas Carol DVD Traitor DVD Just Jerkey: The Complete Guide To Making It (ordered as a filler item, and I like jerky) Rayman Raving Rabbids for Wii The Mummy DVD The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Hellboy II DVD Spaceballs DVD I am Legend DVD The Marine DVD Wall-E DVD ------ I must say that I never thought I'd go to Pep Boys or a grocery store on Black Friday, but percentage wise, that's probably where I got some of the best deals... Pep Boys was very easy & painless on BF at 6:15 am. Plenty of stock and not one but TWO people asked if they could help me find something. In and out in 5-10 minutes. The Philadelphia Premium Outlets had opened at midnight (many stores opened at 11 pm), but we got there around 8:10 am. Plenty of parking available. Cashiers told us that they were crazy from midnight till around 4 am (probably when shoppers went off to Target, etc.) Coach and the Sony Oulet had lines of people waiting outside. They were letting shoppers in those stores in small groups. When we left, around 1 pm, parking spaces were scarce and the shops were busy.
  23. I also ride a motorcycle... There are just a few GPS units specifically designed for riding: TomTom Rider2 any of the units in the Gamin Zumo series The above are waterproof and specifically designed for the bumps of travel, and to be used with gloved hands... However, I can't recommend the Rider2 based on the horrid reviews I've read and the Garmin units are $450 - $600+. Some of the more expensive Zumos can broadcast their audio cues (and music) to a bluetooth signal and there are a growing number of helmets with built-in bluetooth speakers. I myself bought a Garmin Nuvi 780. I have the audio cues (and music) going to an FM signal and I tune in that "station" on my Sansa Clip. Keep one earbud in one ear and the other free to listen for traffic. My GPS was $199.99 when I bought it. However there are trade-offs for me. My unit is not waterproof. My unit does not allow for mapping specific routes (not easily anyway). As a motorcyclist, you don't want to go the fastest way, you want to go the best way, with the most twisties... A true motorcycle GPS will allow you to do that easily. I have to accomplish that through artificially placing waypoints on my mapping on Mapquest.com and then sync up the directions to my Nuvi. The price has dropped to $178: http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-780-Widescreen-Bluetooth-Navigator/dp/B0011UEUNG Another possibility is the Garmin Nuvi 550. It is waterproof. It does allow you to map specific routes natively, like the Zumo series. However, there is no FM or bluetooth broadcast. And I can basically guarantee that your DH will not be able to hear the speaker over the engine noise. That means that he'll have to look at the display for every cue, every turn... It's doable, but not ideal. It's also not a widescreen like my Nuvi 780. It is $199.99 from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-550-3-5-Inch-Portable-Navigator/dp/B001CT009O No matter what GPS you end up with, you'll have to buy a RAM mount to mount it on the handlebars... There is a ton of different options there: http://www.gpscity.com/rammounts (use the code of RAMGUF5285 to save 10% --or-- AFeB9MP9 to save $20 if you use PayPal) They make RAM mounts for just about every GPS out there... Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best.
  24. Just stopped in my local convenience store... Indeed, tomorrow's paper will be $1.50 (the regular Sunday's price).
