Once verified you can have your choice of $20 in PayPal or a $20 Amazon gift certificate.
  3. Adam - The only discount I know of is going through eBates and they will give you 6% back - so around $2. Of course, you could also go through our affiliate link and help support the site as well :) If anyone else knows of any discounts, please post here and let us know.

  6. Patrick, Just so we know what you are looking for, is this the kind of case? http://gottadeal.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=701236
  7. can you give us more of a price range? budget for some can mean $300-400 while for others it can mean $500-600+. would he be interested in a refurbished model? also, does he need a monitor as well? if so, regular CRT or LCD?
  8. it could be because the mobile site is just a simpler HTML version and the phone might only support WAP. i know the site works on pretty much all PDAs and my Sidekick, but the WAP-only phones probably will have problems. i'll have to look into it and see how easy it would be to code a WAP version.
  9. only valid at certain stores - read the fine print: http://ebm.cheetahmail.com/c/tag/tBAwKE1AEcfIPARLHjFABY1$5at/
  10. i think for most people it is a combination, although people are often willing to ignore a retailers reputation if the price is right. rebates also don't matter to many because of the hassle (you wouldn't know about that, would you Ross? )
  11. If there are any retailers or product categories that you would like to see us post more deals for, please reply and list them. We try to cover a lot of areas between the main site and the new "satellite" sites but I'm sure we're missing a lot, so let us know.
  12. OK, new poll - besides actual price, what is the most important factor you consider when you make a purchase online? Feel free to reply and comment on your choice.

  15. What? You mean Ross posts a lot there too? I've never seen him, lol.
  16. I mentioned to RossMAN that this forum should contain a little bit of nostalgia from the "golden days" of online hot deals. I think the other old-timers would get a kick out of some of these things, and all the young kids who weren't around would like to see what they missed, so here is the first installment of some old e-mails I have with some "classic deals". Feel free to share your own thoughts/memories about the deals of days gone by, lol :) First off, the classic cheap DVDs: Site: Bigstar.com QTY ID TITLE UNITPRC TOTAL 1 1076613-2 Austin Powers: International Man o (DVD) 13.99 13.99 Take $10 off any purchase! -10.00 Subtotal $ 3.99 Shiping (USPS) $ 3.93 Total $ 7.92 Site: Reel.com Qty Description Format Price Total ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 Rushmore New DVD $12.49 $12.49 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Subtotal: $12.49 Shipping(USPS): $1.95 Tax: $0.00 Total: $14.44 Coupon #REELDASH: -$10.00 Total Due: $4.44 ... and who could forget the "free" DVDs from Reel.com: Dear Brad Olson Thank you for buying your DVDs at Reel.com. We are fulfilling these orders and apologize for the backorder status. This supplier is usually able to ship this item to you without delay. The supplier anticipates that all orders will be in transit by Friday. We will notify you if there is a further delay. Please let us know if you would like us to maintain your Portable MiniDisc Player/Recorder order, or if you would like us to cancel. -------------- That's it for now - more to come next week...
  17. Looks like everyone seems to have 128MB for around $46 shipped. Both Buy.com and Amazon have similar prices on both Fuji and Olympus media. Still high when you consider that CompactFlash deal for $9.99 shipped AR for the same 128MB size.
  18. The only negative is that it uses xD memory cards, which generally cost more than any other format. Anyone know any deals on xD cards?
  19. mbony, don't know if you ordered yet or not, but there is a new $20 off $75 coupon code 32451881. Expires 6/30
  20. updated top thread with new $10 gottadeal-exclusive bonus
  21. I also like the quick reply, and I am lazy, so the vote is 2-1 in favor. Request denied
  22. There is a link at the bottom-right of every page (GottaDeal.com) that links to the main page, but maybe we can put one somewhere near the top. I'll work on it...
  23. 3 different codes - pick one depending on how high of a roller you are :) http://www.partypoker.com Code: GOTTADEAL - Free $25 added to your bonus account with first deposit (use with initial deposits under $125) Code: GOTTADEAL20 - Free 20% bonus (up to $100) added to your bonus account with first deposit (use with initial deposits over $125) Code: GOTTADEAL32 - Free $32 entry into the PartyPoker Million IV Tournament with first deposit (over $6 million prize pool) Also, for a limited time, sign up using one of the codes above, deposit at least $50 into your account and we will send you either a $10 Amazon gift certificate or $10 in PayPal - your choice. This is in addition to the bonus you get from PartyPoker. Just sign up and then reply to this thread with your PartyPoker username and what signup code you used. Once verified, the extra $10 bonus is yours. -- I've been a Partypoker customer for almost a year now - first class operation. Quick payouts, excellent customer service, and it's fun. When you sign up using one of these codes, you have to deposit a minimum of $50, and you have to play a certain number of hands for them to release the bonus amount (they don't want you signing up, taking the free cash and cashing out). Here are some poker sites to help you learn to play if you don't have a clue or haven't played in a while: http://www.pokersyte.com http://www.worldpokertour.com/pokercorner http://www.holdempoker.com/rules.html http://www.pokerrulesonline.com/rules.htm http://www.thepokerforum.com/pokerrules.htm http://www.webterrace.com/cards/poker.htm http://www.pagat.com/vying/poker.html If you have any questions about PP, either post here or PM me.
  24. If anyone has any suggestions for what we can do to improve both the main site and these forums, please let us know. Either PM me or Ross or post in this thread. Thanks Brad
  25. well on the very cheap end you have something like this (no VCR though): http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B00009WC2J and if you are willing to go up to $299 you can get something like this: http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B0001W01M4 which has everything you want and the great Toshiba brand name. but if you need to stay around $250, there is this Magnavox model: http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B0000B16FP but the Toshiba would be well worth the extra $50 if you can swing it. these are just from amazon (and it looks like they sell that zenith set you have pictured for $299) so you might find better prices elsewhere. i can't find the toshiba much cheaper elsewhere, especially when you factor in free shipping and no tax in most states. amazon also has this samsung system for $279: http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B0000AI0NM which should be comparable to the toshiba and a little cheaper. only 1 left in stock as of this post though, so order if you want it. if you want any of these and want me to check for a better price, let me know the model. i'd recommend either the toshiba or samsung.
